My car failed an mot, in another testers site, on emmissons and is necessary for getting my disabled wife around. The first appointments I could have with Citreon specialists was 2 weeks away. Mercare took my car in immediateley and worked to return it to me asap. during this time the customer service was excellent. I'll be using Mercare again.

Took my SLK back to them again for MOT and EML light. Yet again I received fantastic service. Above and beyond really. Fault found n fixed, lovely new MOT.
Every member of staff I spoke to were brilliant.
I'll bring a sugar free cake next time.

My C class failed the MOT with suspension damage the team at Mercare talked me through the various price options then carried out the work on the same day. This is not the first time they have carried out last minute work for me always very helpful and professional

I used to use them pre-2015/2016 when I worked at Alstom across the road, and they were fine. Took the car there end of last year as they were the only garage with availability. They charged a full hour diagnostic for a 5 minute look on the ramp. Booked the repair on a different day as it required a part. When I picked up the car, they left it 1/4 mile away from their garage beside the road. Horror comes when I accelerated uphill when I got home, grinding noise! When I phoned them up and asked if I could bring it back to check it out, I was out to the boss John and he said the noise was already there and he can guaranty and promise me that they have not touched anything that caused it. After a long conversation, they agreed to have a look another day but with a diagnostic change! When I arrived the garage, John completely blanked me off. I show the mechanic the noise recorded on my phone and he said that’s you snoring? After checking the admin lady finally apologised and said they forgotten to clip back the handbrake cable, hence the grinding noise. I would say be careful if you take your car there. I also witness a couple who had their car diagnosed but also fobbed off by John to pay for diagnostic even when he wasn’t able to resolve the engine light issue for them.

Contacted Mercare as Aircon had gone in car and was due to go on a long trip within the week, they got back to me straight away and car was booked into to be fixed in less than 24 hours, I was quoted a maximum price but but pleasantly surprised when collected car that it was well below what I was expecting to pay. The company was extremely efficient, friendly, value for money and I would use them again and also recommend them.

After buying my secondhand mercedes it developed a knocking sound from the front end, I phoned a few garages who said they wouldn't touch it and suggested to take it to Mercare.
They diagnosed that the engine mounts had gone which I paid over £600 to be replaced only to find the knocking was still there when I got the vehicle back, which turned out to be a drop link and was then charged a further £170 to fix that.
Shortly after I had the airbags on the rear suspension changed which cost me £1600 only only to find the car was still dropping at the rear, I took the car back and was charged another diagnostic fee and was told it was a shorted wire to the pump and paid another £174.
This still didn't fix it and it was returned yet again the be charged another diagnostic fee and another £250 for changing the valve manifold, which again hasn't fixed the problem. They are now saying that it is the airbag which is at fault and want over £500 to fix. I am currently looking at legal action because the Mercare has refused to offer a reasonable solution to this as I feel I have already paid enough to fix one issue.
They returned the car to me and now it is un-driveable as the suspension has dropped on the right hand side which it wasn't like when they took it in.
Currently I'm still waiting on a call back from one of the owners.
I would strongly suggest anyone avoid this garage as it seems they charge diagnostic fees only to throw a dart in a board and pick a fault then charge astronomically high prices.

Stunned to say the least, took my car over after failing Mot. the little A class was 19 years old so needed ro know price of work needed to be done before deciding if it was time to scrap her. they agreed to phone me with a price, which they did, and I made the decision that is was time for my car to be a donor for other A classes. went to pick her up for her last journey, and slapped with £48 bill for the QUOTE. no work done at all, just. quote. I AM FLABBERGASTED. The mot list was clear, they just needed to look at welding and give me a price. asked for a full refund and refused a full refund, only will offer half back as a GOODWILL. MERCARE - MERCALLOUS.

I rang to book my car. In which rac dropped my car in to them? They had it over 3 weeks. Then lied said i didn't ring, i just dropped it off. And the price that they charged for the car. I would never, ever come back to this garage Ever, unless you know what worry with it or know what you're on about very poor for high up Mercedes garage, you should be able to trust people these days. And no one knew anything when you spoke to someone always giving you wrong information.

Had suspension link arms put on on the 27th august 2021, previous ones lasted 13 years . Took car in for a service Dec 2021. My husbands car returned without an engine cover, car stank of fumes and they told my husband his four month old suspension arms were wrecked. Said they weren’t covered under warranty. Quoted husband another £360 to get them replaced had them done else where for £160 using genuine Mercedes’ parts.

They told my husband that the sub frame had corroded and would fail an MOT, my husband had faith in them when they said that Mercedes would not replace the sub frame and would cost £1000-£1500 to replace, this really upset my husband as that is a lot of money to spend on a car. Fortunately after speaking to some friends we found out Mercedes’ warranty their subframes and we contacted Mercedes and they are fixing for FREE.

After losing my husbands engine cover, they said they would replace it, they did but it has a crack in it and doesn’t even fit properly.

Since John has taken over the standard or service has deteriorated drastically, Lee who used to work there was great.

One the back of this shoddy service we will not return and we will not recommend to other people.

Away from home touring in our motorhome. Engine developed a fault.....not ideal as I could have been seen as fair game for any unscrupulous garage . However Mercare looked at it the next working day. Diagnosed the problem & fixed it with replacement part.
Within 1.5 hours we were back on the road!
Very reasonable charge for there services & very friendly staff. I trust them!

Sent my 2013 VW CC in for an MoT test as they were just around the corner from where I work, I had previously visited them to see the garage to gauge what they were like and was pleased to see that the premises were clean and tidy.
They called me to inform me that the front brakes and discs had failed and were dangerous, so I told them to go ahead and replace them and asked the price and if the work could be carried out the same day, the price seemed high but they said they would try and fit it in.
Upon checking around I found the price they had quoted was more expensive than the local VW main dealer.
They did manage to carry out the work in the end and all seems ok and they didn’t charge the full quoted price but it was still higher than the local main dealer hence the title of this review
