I have been sent unsolicited and unwanted spam emails under the guise of different companies which all trace back to Merrehill multiple times a day.

I'm fully expecting a defensive and sarcastic response from them, saying that I'm 'not leaving a review of the service they give' and accusing me of 'reputational harm', when in fact, they harm their reputation themselves with their practices.

Absolute professionals!

Professional outfit we have worked with for many years now providing an exceptional service, wouldn't hesitate to recommend, keep up the good work.

Been sending me completely unrelated junk emails from different companies for weeks saying "You have been sent this email as a corporate subscriber" or "As I've previously shown interest" or "Because you may be interested". Never signed up and do not know how they got my email, I get emails with varying names saying Hi Richard and Hi Katie so they clearly have my email under different names. The unsubscribe links in the emails go to the same URL as all the other links in the mail which they shouldn't do, I've even tried unsubscribing from a couple of the emails (which I never normally do) only to be sent emails from different companies the next day from this company.

Somehow got my email, without permission, and are spamming me with 3-5 emails daily. Will be escalating to the ICO if the emails do not stop and absolutely will not be doing any business with any company using Merrehill unethical lead generation.

The practices of this "company" is disgusting. In the last 24 hours I have received 9 unsolicited, spam emails from different UK companies promoting their services via Merrehill.

I am a UK business owner and this company has somehow managed to find my email address and decided that it's OK to send dozens of unsolicited, spam emails on behalf of other businesses, multiple times per day.

I have blocked every single domain of said companies and if I had more time, I would leave one star reviews for each and every one of them for using this company to send marketing spam to other UK business owners.

I will not use any of the companies that contact me or my company in this way. If we want services, we'll do our own research and outreach. We do not appreciate receiving unsolicited marketing from unknown senders, made even worse that Merrehill think it's a good idea to send 9 emails within a 24 hour period.

Merrehill's homepage headline states "Receive B2B Leads Within 48 Hours", so you can clearly see why I have received so much spam.

If you're a business owner considering using Merrehill or marketing in this way; this is not the way you win new business. This is the exact opposite. This is a way that you alienate your company and annoy other business owners.

This "company" of spammers needs investigating and shutting down. I will be looking into appropriate means to report this company and companies using Merrehill. Absolutely disgusting company, service and behaviour.

10th July 2025 edit to reply to Merrehill Ltd's comment:
Your response was expected, as well as your report to Trustpilot claiming defamation in attempt to hide yet another negative review about your "company", the same as you have done to other negative reviewers. The result is also the same with Trustpilot finding that my review was not defamatory and have put it back online.

I have taken the time to put together a 17 page PDF with screenshots of every email you have spammed me with, highlighting the consistent reply-to email addresses, unsubscribe links and screenshots of all the web pages the links in each email footer link to which clearly show your "company" name, along with your twisted interpretation of the ICO's guidance that you believe makes it OK for you to send relentless amounts of automated email marketing spam without my permission or consent.

As for the simple steps for me to take to remove myself; I shouldn't have been added to it in the first place! I have never given you my email address or my consent for to contact or market to me. I shouldn't have to spend my time requesting removal from email marketing lists that bogus companies have scraped my email and added me to.

You're absolutely right that I'm not a fan of your style of "lead generation", but let's call it what it is and that's personal data and email scraping and then automated email marketing spam. You can't even be bothered to make any actual effort like making sure the companies you're sending spam on behalf of are even relevant to my business.

Also, your constant rhetoric of having happy customers for 20 years does not make it OK what you're doing. It does not make it OK that those of us on the receiving end of your spam have to accept it simply because sending what I can only imagine to be hundreds of thousands of spam emails to get a couple of leads makes it OK, as long as it makes you money, right? Disgusting.

I will be making a SRA (Subject Access Request) to find what data your "company" holds on me and I will be including this in my report to the ICO, along with my PDF of evidence. Let's see if they agree with your interpretation of their advice and your conduct.

Another campaign, another phenomenal result!

I’ve been working with Merrehill since 2017, running email campaigns once or twice a year, and it’s always a great experience. Andrew and Lee are genuinely a pleasure to work with, super helpful, easy to talk to, and they really know their stuff.

The leads they generate are usually really solid and often get me straight through to decision makers, which is a big win. Last year’s campaign was actually one of my best ever; it brought in almost 800% profit, which was amazing.
