Terrible customer service and poor quality items. Avoid.
Having followed and supported Micheline since before she even started Vixen and LaFemme, it's incredibly disheartening to see the deterioration of both the quality of products and the customer service - which is now basically non existent. Every time I've had to contact CS it's taken at least 2 weeks to receive a response. Usually it's 3-4 weeks. Other issues include the following...
* being told that the flaw I pointed out with a dress I'd received (an incredibly wonky waistline) was a design feature. Seeing as I have this dress in 4 other colours I knew this to be a blatant lie.
* when their website wouldn't apply all of my credit on an order, I was told to just put the rest on my credit card and use the remaining credit next time. Erm no. I want to use my credit on THIS order and it's not my fault it's not working. Fix it or find a way around it. This took over 5 weeks to sort out.
* asked for the size info that was missing on a skirt listing online. Was told to just wait until it eventually got added to the site. I said I wanted to check the size before purchasing so could they not just look it up and give me the info? Was told no.
* If customers post in the Facebook group because they're not receiving a response via email after a week or more (this is supposed to be within 48hrs but it is always considerably longer) they are chastised, comments deleted, passive aggressive posts made by the admins etc. It's a really appalling way to treat customers. In fact if anyone says anything they don't like in the group they are suspended/banned/silenced etc. This even happened when someone politely posted to make them aware that another brand had stolen their images from the website. Instead of thanking them an admin posted a passive aggressive post targeted at them, deleted their comments and sent them messages telling them they should email them about it instead. I would've thought any other brand would just be grateful that someone let them know, not be rude and unkind to the person.
* Shipping times are also ridiculous. Whilst I understand that preorders need to arrive etc, parcels sitting for over 2 weeks after the label has been created without anyone dropping it off/collecting it is not good.
*Sizing used to be consistent but items now often measure way off what the size guide for the item says.
*There have been numerous issues with non colourfast fabric - a black and white dress where the black bleeds into the white despite care instructions being followed. A white dress with red roses where the red dye bled onto the white - some even arrived like this! Whenever this happens it is blamed on user error. The customer is always blamed for not following washing instructions/storing incorrectly etc. Basically they will never admit fault on anything.
Overall, what was once a brand I loved and was proud to support now treats it's customers appallingly and seems to have zero morals. The items are poor quality now and the customer service is either non existent or rude and passive aggressive. I would avoid this brand like the plague now.
Ordered a couple of bags July 2025
Customer service is non existent, after a pre-ordered bag failed to arrive end of December, I emailed and was told was coming through customs, my emails after that were ignored.
Bags finally arrived end January.
Both bags are gorgeous visually but the Creature bag is unusable, as I cannot get hand in let along a purse.
Great Customer Service
My shirt was brand new but filthy. I emailed them and within minutes got a new one shipped out & a return label sent to my email to return the old top. Good customer service.
Don't shop here.
So, it would be my first time shopping with Vixen, I ordered two dressed and paid the sum of £290. I'm based in London and paid a £45 shipping fee ontop of this. Ontop of that I paid for their recommended Route Shipping Protection. It apparently took 3 days for my package to get to London (Usps delivery) however upon trying to track - I learned that the delivery requires me to pay £75. I reached out to customer service twice to find out what was going on, and why on earth despite having paid for shipping I've been charged £75 ontop of everything but have been ignored for a week. Waste of money, poor customer service. DO NOT SHOP HERE if you're from London.
Absolutely perfect
I am a devotee of this brand. I have been shopping with them for the last eight years, and the quality and customer service are unmatched. The clothes are gorgeous, and customer service is always there to help with any questions. I wish all companies were as amazing as this one! I feel so lucky to have a clothing store that consistently brings such beautiful pieces of art to life!
Great clothes terrible shopping experience
The clothes are great. They make some of the only pants I like to wear. They are made of really sturdy material, and the sizing is perfect for bigger hips. They are truly some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe.
It was a terrible shopping experience, though. Even with rush shipping, don't expect your order for a few weeks. Pre-orders are bizarre and unpredictable. My advice is to buy their clothing secondhand. You'll get the same pieces faster and with a MUCH more responsive team.
Absolutely gorgeous dress and helpful team
Absolutely gorgeous dress which was really high quality at an affordable price.
I bought one of the Labyrinth themed dresses for a "faerie themed wedding" in Scotland and it arrived just in time.
The quality of the dress was more than I expected and it was really beautiful - I had so many compliments on the dress and even the mother of the bride asking me to swap her! You can't really get anything of this quality for less than £150 so when I told people how much, they were all pleasantly surprised.
When I was worried about postage as I had left it a little too late to the deadline, I had emailed the team and they had reassured me it was on its way. Really helpful team and a gorgeous dress. Thank you
Can't wait to get paid to order some more now!
The items are over priced
The items are over priced. The customer service is just terrible. They ship the wrong items and then it takes several emails to resolve issues and slow responses back.
Be Wary
I like so many others had watched this brand grow, and last year at the end of summer I finally took the plunge to order from them and was so incredibly excited. But was incredibly disappointed.
I ordered the Trick r Treat Sam backpack and the Edward Scissorhands harness (which was a pre-order). I waited about a month and a half for them to ship as per the pre-order information, and when it arrived the backpack was absolutely beautiful but the harness was not in my package. Instead was a belt. I was so sad at this mix up of course I emailed customer service right away with all my information and order number to be told the harness was out of stock and to send the belt back and I could receive credit for the site or a refund. They were relatively polite, but how can you sell more of an item than you actually have and then send someone the wrong thing instead. I left a review on their website which has been removed.
Onto the bag, I wore it for maybe 8 hours worth of time over the course of a month and both of the straps were ripping out of the bottom where they're attached. I emailed customer service yet again, and they said they would send me a new one as long as I sent back the damaged one. I've only worn my replacement bag for a few hours and it's already cracking in the same place at the bottom around the straps. Unfortunately I haven't used it in the last year because I'm so worried it will have the same issue. Again I left a review for this item and it was also removed.
I will not be making any further purchases from this company and will not recommend them to anyone.
This company will send you a swing dress instead of a wiggle dress
This company will send you a swing dress when you order a wiggle dress. If you read the comments its appears to be a repeated error that they have not fixed for some time.
Very bad customer service
Very bad customer service.
Brand is cool but the service is very bad.
The quality is hands down
The quality is hands down! And stunning pieces! I'm such a fan and can't wait to have one of each piece. Shipping is fast and I have never had an issue with sizing. But I always look at the size charts.
I’m still going to rate high for the…
I’m still going to rate high for the divine clothing alone. But these reviews make me so so sad. I like so many, have drooled over this line of clothing. I finally order the dress I’ve been coveting for a while and received the wrong color. I had ordered the chocolate Ingenue swing dress. Instead received the red one. Of course it’s beautiful and great quality, true to size. The dress even came with the paper work showing I ordered the chocolate color. I get mistakes happen. But it was for a special occasion to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary/vow renewal and my 3 sisters and I all were to have matching dresses. We put so much planning into this special day. I’m really hoping customer service will right their error.
PS… I’ll be the odd girl in the bright red dress in all the photos tomorrow.
Update… Customer service got back to me within the 48hrs. They handled the situation professionally and with class. They are correcting the issue. Im happy with my experience and will continue to buy from this company. So 5 stars all the way around!
I fell in love with this brand and most…
I fell in love with this brand and most of my experience had been quite positive. She openly prides herself on being a small business with only 12 employees between two companies, this has created problem for me on multiple occasions.
The woman who runs one company La Femme en Noir is a lovely person who responded to my customer service issue with Grace and a lovely gift card in a nice amount that I could afford to buy something else.
Unfortunately when the same thing happens at the Vixen side of the company that kind of customer service doesn't exist.
There are no negative or complaint issues brought up in the Facebook group in fact it can get you banned if you're lucky. Prior that you will be chastised passive aggressively bullied by comments made by Micheline Pitt Norman herself.
I had ordered a wiggle dress that had been in stock for a while and had recently gone on final sale when the item arrived it was marked wiggle but the package contained a swing dress. I didn't want the swing dress so I returned it to get that replacement wiggle dress only to find that it too contained a swing dress in a wiggle dress package. This took nearly a month to get to me and in the meantime I received another dress of a different order that had many sequins missing and also had to be replaced. After three orders being incorrect and a month's time had gone by I was considerably frustrated and as consolation I was told I could keep the wrong dress which I had actually paid for and they gave me a $50 gift card which if anyone knows Micheline's brand you can't buy much for $50.
Needless to say I was very disappointed. I expressed my disappointment to customer service and received a return letter stating that I should not be abusive although I didn't feel I had been abusive just a customer with a complaint. Furthermore I was told that they're very small company and if I want better customer service I should shop at Target or Amazon. Essentially I considered this a dismissal, and then Micheline posted in the group on Facebook about how terrible it is to be abusive to customer service and that they are not Target or Walmart and I knew immediately that this post had been directed quietly to my situation. The backlash from the girls in the group was mortifying. I felt that she had gone along with it accepted it as okay for her to make her post and allow the girls to bully someone that way, someone they don't know in a in a situation they knew nothing about. I felt like a pariah.
She claims inclusivity but that only if you react exactly the way she wants you to especially in the group on Facebook or with her customer service team.
Now it turned out that the dress I had ordered actually never came in a wiggle or if it did it was very small amounts in my size and that many of them had been mislabeled from the factory. The dress had been on the shelf for over a year and they had inventories for sales, and no one noticed that dress was mislabeled in all that time. Even after I reported my first order as incorrect no one bothered to check. I felt it was an important point to question how this could happen, they didn't think so. After a long career in customer service at every level, call center, dispatch, person to person retail, I would have made such an error a priority. It was not.
Since I started with this brand Micheline has become involved in the movie business rubbing elbows, making deals, licensing collections based on very famous popular movies. This leads me to believe that the woman has maybe gotten a little big for her britches and forgets where she comes from.
I'm not a rich person but I was willing to invest in these clothing because of quality and the genuineness of the girls who wear them. There are issues misfittings, sewing errors, inventory mistakes causing an order to be unavailable. I only complained when things came to me wrong and when things seem to be lacking in the service department. Both times this has happened there has been backlash. This woman desperately needs to hire more people and will not do so, maybe because she's so difficult to work with very few people can qualify.
I had made many friends in the group and the girls trade and sell their items to one another on a regular basis without any issue from me. I've never had a customer complaining to me about what I've sold them from my collection and vice versa.
This was all about Micheline and her customer service team which is only 12 people working two companies in Burbank California.
I warn you do not confront customer service about anything no matter how wrong it is no matter how bad it feels, you do not count. She is much too busy getting movie contracts, making design choices and doing photo shoots when new line is coming out. She presents as nice in the group when you wear something and you look good. But if you have a problem you've made an enemy.
Very good, but don't bother with international priority shipping
I've ordered items from Vixen and La Femme en Noir on several occasions and am generally very pleased with the customer service, quality and dispatch times ....except for the occasion I paid extra for quick (!) international priority shipping, as per the customer review below. It took a considerably long time for the dress to arrive unlike the guideline time, I had to contact customer services to enquire as to the issue and the import fees entailed (no fault of michelinepitt.com) were substantial due to the method. Avoid this shipping method at all costs.
Horrible customer service!
Horrible customer service! I ordered the Maneater dress April 13, and paid 50$ for "first class shipping" to Norway. The parcel never left USA until may 31, and went missing for 16 days after that. I tried to reach out to customer service for help several times, hoping that they could try to investigate what might have happened with my parcel and why it was taking so long to get here. (I have ordered clothes from USA many times before and usually it takes 1-2 weeks to transit from seller to my mailbox) But instead they said that there was "nothing they could do now that the dress was in transit" and told me to check the tracking link (which I had already done a hundred times) with a rude and cold attitude. The fact that they wait for several days to answer emails, is also really bad- considering they offer worldwide shipping and hold a high price for their clothes.
Now I have recieved the parcel -FINALLY- (69 days after I placed the order) but when I opened the package I see that they have sent me the wrong size. I ordered a size XL, and got it in 2XL. So now I am stuck with a dress that is way to big for me, and one thing is for sure- I am not sending it back!!!
I suspect that the company sent my parcel with economy shipping, even though I paid extra for "first class shipping"- and if that is the case; makes the company seem 100% unprofessional. The rude and horrible customer service is also an addition to this impression. And to top it off, the dress came in the wrong size. I don't know if I should laugh or cry!
I will NEVER buy from Vixen by Micheline Pitt again. One of my worst shopping experiences ever!
Don't Bother Preordering If You Really Want Something
Here is a description of what happened with my first and last order from this company. I've been wanting to order from here for a while because the clothes and accessories are very cute. I finally caved and dropped $200 when they came out with the IT Pennywise purse. Knew I had to have it. So like most people would do if they really wanted to be POSITIVE they'd get their hands on a product-- I preordered. Specifically, I preordered 2 of the IT Pennywise purses in July (on one order) with the expectation they would ship in late October. I was patient with everything going on due to covid shipping delays, port delays, etc. but asked for an update on status. They told me on October 21st the bags just arrived and I should receive tracking soon. I followed up on November 18th after not seeing any update. They told me bags are in receiving and tracking should update soon. I followed up again on December 15th after still not seeing an email for shipment. They told me my order should have shipped by now and checked with production. I finally received the order on December 22nd-- and opened the box to find ONE Pennywise purse. I PREORDERED and PAID AHEAD OF TIME for TWO purses to guarantee that I would get them. One was to be a birthday present for my sister and one was supposed to be for myself. But of course when I emailed them to tell them the issue with my order they said they are sold out so they cannot send a replacement. So now I don't get a Pennywise purse for myself... and am left wondering what kind of company doesn't make sure that ALL of their PREORDERS are PROPERLY FILLED before they sell remaining bags?! Literally the ONLY good thing I have to say is that they promptly issued a refund for the bag I did not receive. Never going to waste my time or money on this company again. To anyone else who wishes to try I advise you to just wait for an item to release and order it then. Preordering is apparently useless and does not really guarantee you will get an item. I am posting this review in the hopes that they will see and change how they operate going forward with preorders.
Flabbergasted
So, this was my first order from this company after lusting after their clothing for a few years now. I ordered the vacation swing skirt in pink and black lace and the matching top. I ordered both the top and skirt in large, but it felt like I probably could have ordered a medium top. But when I tried the skirt on, it was super tight. The zipper was also really difficult to zip past the waist band seam. A medium top and XL skirt sounded like an odd pairing and didn't make sense, but I messaged customer service to see if I could exchange the skirt for an XL anyway, only to find out they were all out and did not plan on restocking. So I said fine, I'll just try to lose a couple lbs so it fits better. I ordered the outfit for my cousin's wedding tomorrow. I went to try it on again today and the zipper on the skirt completely fell apart. I was so disappointed and sent customer service another email because now it was saying its past my return date.
They have a Facebook group, so I posted in there that I was sad my first order didn't go so well. My post was shut down by them, despite being polite because they say it’s a customer service issue, and didn't even give me a chance to respond. I posted again, saying how I didn't understand how my posting about my first time shopping experience with the group was removed before I could even respond and that I wasn't expecting the group to fix the issue. Again after a couple minutes my post was deleted.
Micheline herself then sends me a very condescending message saying "The rules of the group are very straightforward and simple I highly suggest reading them before you continue to post. If you have any problems or issues with the company please take that directly to customer service. We have specific rules of the group there for a reason, anyone that breaks the rules has her post removed. All of this is covered with in our group policies I suggest reading them and let us know or any of the admin’s now directly in a message if you have any questions. 💖"
I wasn't going to go out of my way to post a negative review about this company, but the fact that I can't even talk about my first shopping experience with fellow shoppers on the Facebook page, without being silenced by the owner who doesn't even offer an apology for her shotty merchandise, is absolutely ridiculous. I'm treated like the bad guy because I order an expensive skirt that fell apart the day before the wedding I was going to wear it to, before I've even worn it once? That makes sense.
So I decided to double check the measurements on the skirt, because it still didn't make sense to me. According to their sizing chart, the waist for size large is supposed to measure 30" - 31.5" and the waist of the skirt I received isn't even 29.5". I sent all of this to customer service and was going to wait to hear back from them before even posting this, but if that's the response I got from the owner, how can I expect much more from customer service?
Furthermore, messaging a customer who is already upset about their order and being condescending isn't going to make the situation any better, then she says to take it up with customer service. That's just setting up her employees to deal with an even more irate customer. I certainly will not be ordering from her again and I feel awful for the people who have to work for someone like that.
Got hugely disappointed and lost a whole lot of money..!
Got hugely disappointed. I wanted to buy the famous cigarette pants and was asking for the right size. I live very far away from America and wanted to avoid having to send articles back. Not sure about what size to choose I contacted the costumer service and gave them my exact measurements. They told me which size to choose and I made a purchase.
I waited very long for my articles to arrive. About 2 months! I already made purchases far away from Ireland or Russia and waited maximum 2 weeks! Then after waiting for so long the pants arrived- they didn’t fit. They were way too small and very tight. I couldn’t keep them.
So once again I made contact with the costumer service and told them my size is wrong and I can only send the pants back because they’re so small. The reaction was weird. I could read between the lines that they’re not happy with my request and reacted somehow as they were mad at me when I was the one who got disappointed with the additional waiting time of two months! I had to ask by myself how to send the articles back because they did not send me informations about the costumes duty which can be huge when you life where I do and what to be aware of when I send the pants back. I had to read about the costumes and costs and had to contact the costumer service again asking if it’s okay and right for them to send my articles back with the shipping costs I found because I got the information they had to pay the costumes when receiving the package. I got a one-line-respond which basically told me to not bother them again and to simply send the articles back. No name, no regards, no thanks, nothing. And most importantly no information about who has to pay the costumes at the end!
To make a long story short: I was the one who had to pay the shipping cost of 42,46 dollars and additional 56,68 dollars costumes at the end. They withheld 58,68 dollars from the repayment amount and not paid it back. I lost a huge amount of money although it wasn’t my fault at all! I was asking for the right size got the false size. Why do I get 58,62 dollars less back?
I lost about 101,14 dollars in total!!! What’s wrong with the costumer service???
I was asking several times to avoid this had to learn the hard way. First I was a fan of Micheline Pitt’s clothing and found the idea great. I wanted to support a small manufacturing company offering beautiful clothes with an attitude. But apparently I was very wrong.. not to mention I will never purchase again..
Not to forget: I also purchased Earrings and got also no money back for them! As though I never purchased them.
Delays, sizes don’t match size chart, rude service
So I have bought many, many dresses from Vixen by Micheline Pitt but after my last experience, I will not be buying from this company ever again! I pre-ordered the Widow Spiderweb dress which was expected to be released in November. November comes and goes with no notification. I contact the company and get a reply that it is expected within a few weeks. Those weeks go by and I cause again and eventually get a tracking number, which shows that it took them another week to actually hand the package to USPS.
When the dress arrives the bust measurement is 2” tighter than the smallest measurement stated on the size chart and 4” smaller than the bigger measurement. They have a Facebook group so I ask there for advice for what others have done to improve the fit (people have previously suggested solutions like removing zips on stretchy dresses etc previously which I found useful). My post gets shut down by them despite being polite because they say it’s a customer service issue, I merely asked for fit advice...
Micheline herself then sends me photos of another dress saying mine is faulty, but it measures the exact same!!! So sure they can send me a new dress but how does that solve the problem that the bust is 2” smaller than stated on the size chart??
They are incredibly rude and frustrating to deal with. They have clearly manufactured the dress wrong and merely need to update their size chart to reflect the actual measurements of this line. Emails go back and forth where they just refuse to acknowledge this.
Basically they don’t communicate delays to their customers, items don’t match the size chart and they shut down polite enquiries on their social media. Doesn’t sound like the sort of company you want to use huh?
Btw if anyone has the widow spiderweb dress and finds the bust tight, removing parts of the lining over the bust helps alleviate the problem for the smaller of the bust measurements given. Basically lining it in the same very non-giving outer fabric was a stupid design decision and has caused the issue. I hope this may help someone else disappointed in their dress as I was. However as my friend commented, why should you have to wreck the dress to get it to fit as its supposed to?
