Rampage IV Extreme Mother Board

I received the Motherboard in quick time, and took me a few months to complete the PC build, but once build Motherboard keeps freezing tried to contact them, no response by phone , e-mailed ,.. 2 days later received e-mail telling me to send it back to ASUS, even though ASUS told me it is the re-sellers responsibilty for warranty.... they rejected this and told me to send it to ASUS... this has been going on now for 4 weeks.... today I find the telephone is answered then hung up immediatel, I tried calling from different numbers but each time answered then hung up before I spoke , now I see the website is down .. just white screen seems the company have GONE .. aint that strange.................... if I cannot get ASUS to change the Board I am out £450 up the swanny cheap aint always best a tough lesson

Low Prices, Fast Delivery, Easy Ordering Process

I read reviews of Micom on this website before I made my order with them. Though there were a few one to two star ratings, I decided to make the order because they were outweighed by five star ratings. This was a very good decision.

I ordered three items from Micom due to their appealing low prices. This included a monitor - which came in its own monitor box, some RAM and a CPU. The CPU and RAM were both delivered in an overly large box for their size, filled with a whole bunch of protective paper - which would make the items very difficult to damage. The RAM arrived in impeccable condition; the CPU's box was also in very good condition, though the CPU was askew in its 'look inside' packaging. In addition, the items arrived before the estimated arrival date.

All of these items were successfully ordered from a prepaid credit card, despite large businesses such as Amazon and Novatech having problems with it.

I would definitely recommend this business. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Micom offer great value with real expertise and support

I was asked to provide costings for a laptop for our new Curate at St James', Whitley, Coventry. We selected the Lenovo from Parish Buying** then I compared and found our local supplier, Micom, was a lot cheaper. I could have saved a further £5 on-line with a supplier I had not used before however opted to shorter returns path with Micom.

I have bought computers and components from Micom for over 20 years and have always found them helpful, knowledgeable, and straight dealing with no-quibble returns on doas etc.

** We bought the Office licence from Parish Buying with a very good price for a licence agreement specially for the CofE.

Generally very good, any problems I had were resolved.

The printer I ordered didn't work. When I contacted Micom they arranged for the printer to be taken back to the manufacturer. A new printer was received and this one worked, so all good!

The only criticism I have is that the communication from Micom was kept to a bare minimum, and I wasn't told exactly what would happen with regards to my broken printer. Things just happened one step at a time and eventually I received a working printer.

Disappointed with order error and slow response to rectify faulty display

We ordered 4 off 28" Acer monitors on a pre-1030 next day - over a grand spend. One turned up at 1700 hrs the following day, the others the day after. First display received was faulty; slow service to fault rectification. Response to shipping refund again slow. Maybe just our expectations of living in this instantaneous world and our problem being the only important one they have to deal with. Anyway almost everything was resolved within a few days apart from a faulty screen is still awaiting collection. Monitors working good so far. We have dealt with far worse company's so overall we would shop again; note the pricing is very competitive - a big gold star here!

Cheapest price, I could find online (including delivery) Paid for next day delivery and it arrived next day. Perfect goods, so all in all very happy with my order.

Sales team have no interest in selling

Called to check stock levels on a Synology NAS unit as I was interested in going to the Coventry branch to collect.

Got through to somebody in sales who said they didn't have any in stock, but didn't give me any further information on how I could actually buy one from them. So I asked when they might get them in stock and I was told that it was a non-stock item - again not offering any more information. So I proceeded to ask how I could get hold of one, if they were a "non stock item" to which I was told I would have to order from the website and wait for delivery.

Due to the lack of customer care shown by the salesman, I'm now happy to take my custom elsewhere. With giants like Amazon crushing independent businesses left right and centre, I would have thought a company like Micom would be putting in extra effort to ensure they were turning leads to sales. But clearly it's not the case and the man at the end of the phone couldn't have cared less.

All it would have taken is a little initiative from the salesman to offer the information at the beginning of the call, rather than make me tease it out of him by asking three times.

Completely incompetent, steer clear

Ordered a pair of printers marked in stock on line and paid for next day delivery. No order confirmation sent through, so called next day to confirm order and check printers were dispatched. Told printers were actually in stock in Europe not at the Coventry based company so would take three days but was guaranteed they would arrive by the deadline I told them. Also assured that the printers were suitable for purpose I needed them for. Printers didn't show by deadline, called Micom, no apologies from them, had to drag information out of member of staff who seemed totally bemused that it was unacceptable the items didn't arrive and were still in fact in Germany at this point. I contacted the company 4 times before I tracked down the printers, 10 days after initially ordering them. Printers were then unsuitable for purpose, despite initial reassurances they were correct, and came with European plugs. Returned the items, and realised three weeks later no refund had been received, called company and told refund was just going to be done today because it had been forgotten. Employee couldn't give me a reason for this and laughed when I said I wouldn't use the company again. Micom were a nightmare company to deal with.

Excellent

These guys were one of the first to get a new item in stock, had a good price for it, and their responses to online reviews were extremely professional.

So I ordered from them, chose three day delivery and got it next day, more like 12 hours. An extremely happy customer :)

Free delivery isn't

Ordered a camera body, web site had a big banner saying "Free delivery on all orders". I placed the order only to be charged £25 delivery because I live in Morayshire (we do have rail and road links with proper tarmaced roads). So be aware the Free delivery isn't necessarily so. Shan't order from them again. Item arrived within a reasonable time frame.

Certain postcodes are excluded from our free carriage due to our couriers charging a surcharge to deliver to these areas. Unfortunately your postcode was one of these. Our checkout page makes it very clear how much carriage you will be charged before payment.

Good Service and Quick Delivery

Very happy with their service. Was the cheapest price, in stock and delivered correctly and all worked.
They emailed to check the item I ordered would meet my needs before shipping as I ordered a barebone computer and wanted to check I knew that.

Do not answer emails or requests for delivery info

Pretty much as above. I took free 7 day delivery on an item valued at nearly £600. Fine that they say 'up to 7 days'. But we are now on day 5 and when I asked them which company they use and what the delivery number was so I could know when to be in for the delivery (at least on what day, if not an exact time) they firstly ignored my emails and secondly fobbed me off on the phone, saying they would send me a delivery number 'within the hour'. Of course no such delivery number has been forthcoming. Fair enough they don't offer free tracked delivery on non-valuable items - but with items over several hundreds of pounds at a time, surely it is in their own interests and in the interests of everyone concerned to do this? I can't just take 7+ days off of work to wait for a delivery.

I will change or delete this review if this company deliver, or provide tracking details as requested.

This order was placed late Friday night, despite you choosing free 7 day carriage this order was shipped on a next day service on the Monday as we are closed at the weekend.

You emailed us on Monday morning asking when the order would be despatched, this was replied to the same day and a confirmation of the despatch was also emailed to you.

You emailed late Monday night to ask if the order had shipped, which courier it was sent with and the tracking details. This information was emailed to you today (Tuesday)

At no point were any of your emails ‘ignored’ all were replied to.
