The survey report came back just one…
The survey report came back just one day after the survey itself was done. I really appreciated that the Surveyor (Stephen Szczur) called me to clarify some of the issues. This was very reassuring for a first time buyer!

I rang to book my survey on Tuesday and the survey was conducted on the Wednesday and the report sent to me on Monday. Fast efficient service. Friendly and helpful phone manner and all for a good price, would definitely use again. Thanks for your help!

Excellent service (booking | survey visit | report) & value for money
From booking to the valuation itself and the report I highly recommend Miller Metcalfe Surveyors Ltd.
They kept me informed every step of the way and answered all my queries. Gary Palmer (RICS) certified the surveyor was a fantastic professional, thorough and very knowledgeable. I had my report mailed very quickly - within days straight after the visit. Excellent all round!
Definitely use especially if you are wanting a valuation on a new build property.

Simply surveyed simply reported simply very good
Miller Metcalfe Surveyors promptly provided a surveyor who shortly after his inspectio not only gave me a comprehensive verbal report but also followed it up with a written report that was in language that was easy to understand

Slow company
I had to chase the survey up 3 times before they bothered to send it. It was the only thing I was waiting for before completion on my house. Paying £475 for a survey and having to chase it up numerous times isn't acceptable!

We have looked into the background of this case and note the inspection took place on the 23rd September. Reports take 3-5 working days to complete as standard. Our records show the report was delivered via email on Monday 30th September.
We are sorry if you were expecting the report sooner however we are satisfied that the report was delivered within our standard time-frame of 3-5 working days from date of inspection.

Very good, clearly written report, emailed the next working day, highlighting the issues and suggesting the remedial work and timetable for completion. The surveyor also rang the next working day to discuss the report and answered all my questions clearly.

Your report was very poor & only served…
Your report was very poor & only served to allow you wriggle room if anything was found at a later date. Further more your estimate of the value of the property was identical to the sum paid. What a coincidence! What an absolute waste of money. If I subsequently find that the value of the property is significantly less than the sum we paid I will seek further advice. You have to understand that we were blinded by the suitability to us & therefore sort professional guidance on the ultimate purchase of this property.Your red alarms were Electric , Gas, & Boiler. What a Joke!!!!

Thank you for leaving us a review however I am sorry to hear that you found our report to be very poor.
I have reviewed the content and it appears there was very little by way of defects to report upon. For most purchasers this is generally good news. Surveyors will always provide advice on the general maintenance that will be required in any property. As the report is private, I am sure you will appreciate that I cannot go into too much detail about our Surveyors findings.
With regards to the valuation figure, Surveyors take into account the overall condition of the property together with local sales in the area, they will either agree with the purchase price or advise if they feel you are paying too much.
As Surveyors are not electricians or plumbers it does not fall in their remit to test the services and therefore condition rating 3 or red (CR3) is standard for the services section in our reports.
