In 25 years of buying cars and owning loads this has been the worst experience ever buying a new car.
The company was fine until the deposit was paid then literally absolutely useless. 6 times was told I was needing to be called by the garage every time was 1h to 2 hours late after making a appointment or not at all. Each time having to chase Joe the sale team member who was absolutely useless. The manager was no better. Telling me someone else would call as he had left for the day hors after arranging a call then that person npt calling till the next day. Not sending information. Had to contact them when I found out MG had a deal on and lowered the price ( made up excuses that was going to be called.... days after it happened) then 5 times changing the price and the quote as zero idea what they are doing. Then giving me 3 different dates for the car arriving with them. Then not bothering to register the car even though told twice it was done so then not actually registered to the day it was getting delivered to me 8 days after they got it! Told i would then get 5 days complementary insurance again another lie it was one day and totally useless .... then on delivery day when again the sales man was off , I would get a call in the morning with a arrival time. At 2pm I contacted the garage to ask what was happening and to be told not sure... then when the delivery driver finally arrived at 5pm he said they knew he was never leaving till the afternoon as never got in till 2am from another delivery.... honestly lie after lie and totally useless and not interested once I paid the deposit. Zero part of this process went smoothly and will never deal with this garage again. Avoid at all costs. Was about 10 other things too that were a total shambles and when complianed was told nothing they can do and not interested. Over 80 emails to buy a new car as some many problems honestly avoid at all costs.

Had an awful experience with Luscombe Suzuki and their sales department. A lesson in how not to treat people that says a lot about their attitude to doing business.
I phoned them around 11am one morning recently to view a used car they were selling that I’d seen on the internet. Spoke with a receptionist and agreed to view it at 1pm that day – she also took my email address and phone number. She said they’d arrange for the car to be ready. Got an email soon after from a salesman confirming he’d be showing me the car. Set off to the appointment before midday. Got a call in the car whilst driving to the appointment from the same salesman, who confirmed that I was on my way and the car was ready to be viewed. He answered some of my questions on the phone and we ended the call by saying ‘see you soon’. So far so good.
Arrived at the dealership bang on time. On entering the showroom, I was met by the same salesman who told me that someone else had walked into the showroom in the past 30 minutes, asked to buy the car and they had sold it to them!
After a minute or so of sheer disbelief, I said ‘whoa you can’t do that to people’. His reply was ‘Our policy is, first come first served’. He then brought a more senior salesman over who, in a quite surly way, told me the car was sold and that was that.
I asked to speak with Robin Luscombe but was told he wasn’t there. The next day I emailed him detailing what had happened. His response? Not even the courtesy of a reply. Three weeks later and still no word. What way to treat people!

Sorry to hear about your poor experience with regards to your attempted purchase of our Suzuki Alto. Unfortunately, while rare, this situation is one that has occurred a number of times leaving one of the two parties involved extremely dissatisfied. Ultimately, we can only sell each car once, and every car is on sale until the point at which a contract is formed by the placing of a deposit. While I appreciate we may not have broken this unhappy news to you in the most empathetic of manners, for which I do apologise, the situation remains that unless the car is physically reserved with a £99 reservation fee, the car remains for sale and open to any party forming a commitment to buy it. In this case, another party did just that and however this played out, one of those parties was going to feel hard done by as only one could buy it.
I will ensure that Jacob recommends that customers place a reservation on a car they are hoping to buy to prevent exactly this situation and speak with my management team on how this may have been handled better.
I do apologise for the frustration this has caused and would be happy to help procure a similar car if this would be of interest. Kind regards, Sam Luscombe

I took my Shogun in to have a new badge…

I took my Shogun in to have a new badge fixed. We arrived before appointment time and were away before appointment time. How good is that??

A good experience from my first test drive to buying

Buying a used car from Luscombe's was a good experience all round.
I test drove two vehicles and was helped to make a positive decision.
The staff were helpful and attentive and I could not recommend them more highly.

It's worth the 125 mile round trip !!!!!!

When I bought this Outlander PHEV at Luscombes two years ago I was that impressed with the customer service that I took on a service plan, even though it means a 125 mile round trip. The ethos of everyone, from sales staff, service staff, technicians and valeters is CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This is so refreshing in an age where being ripped off seems to be the norm.
I can genuinely recommend Luscombes to anyone who values good old fashioned Customer Service.

The service they give is 5 star. Customer service is second to none. I like the video they send after completing your service showing and explaining everything they have done.
I feel that I can trust this garage to do what they say they will do and not charge you over and above , like many other garages.

I had a braking fault

I had a braking fault. The car was booked in quickly. I requested an early return of vehicle. It was inspected immediately. The fault was quickly diagnosed (seized brake calliper). A new one was fitted together with new discs and pads all within a couple of hours.

Mitubishi Outlander Second Service

Our Mitubishi Outlander was taken to Mitubishi Luscombe, Leeds for it's second Service.
We cannot express what great service we received from them again, from booking the car in with Sarah and arranging for a courtesy car to having a video health check done by Kev the technician, full service and car washed at the end.
Sarah contacted us to say the car was ready to be collected we collected our car and handed back the courtesy car keys to Sarah and we were on our way. Service booked stamped and tick off sheet to say what had been done all running smoothly.
Sarah also contacted us the next day by text to make sure everything was okay with the car and if not to give her a call and if anything was amiss it would be rectified.
Again Mitubishi Luscombe Excellent standards and a BIG 10/10 from us.

A pleasant & unpressurized atmosphere!

If you come away from any car service dept with anything other than a bad feeling you should note that place in your diary for future use! I have been using Luscombes to service my Mitsubishi Phev since I bought it from them & I always come away with a positive feeling knowing il receive a short video detailing the state of my car, zoning in on areas of concern. I always have questions answered in a really pleasant way by the staff who clearly have a wealth of knowledge. Mostly though, there is an easy, unpressurized atmosphere rarely found in car showrooms.

Luscombe - Great service (pun intended)

Luscombe collected my car for the service on time and did a great job. The best bit was that they even cleaned it for me (which it really needed!). I will definitely use them again.

I have been receiving brilliant service from all the staff at Luscombe's every time I needed them.
I am accommodated to my request without any hesitation. The car gets picked up from my home and delivered back home and this very important to me as I can not spare the time.
