Avoid this company at all costs. Once you’ve collected the car, customer support becomes extremely unhelpful. When dealing with PCNs and related issues, they come across as robotic and unwilling to assist. It feels like they have little interest in resolving customer concerns or providing proper service. They gave me a car that smells inside. Once they sell you the car and take your money, journey is awful everything is operated remotely

Once I had a phone number to call if I needed something, the communication was quick and over all perfect. I have to say that Jordan was great and friendly, explained everything I asked.
The collection of the car was also great, it was in a car park they’re renting. A colleague came, explained how to do the vehicle check, and that was it, I drove off. They’ve provided all the car documentation via email, so I had no trouble at all with registering the car anywhere.

Contract details
1. Type of Contract – Unregulated Hire Purchase
Meaning
This is not regulated by the UK Consumer Credit Act.
Because it is unregulated, you have less legal protection than normal finance agreements.
Important consequence
The company has more control over termination and repossession.
Court protection is weaker compared to regulated finance.
2. Ownership of the Car
Term
The car belongs to Moove during the whole contract.
You are only hiring the vehicle.
To own the car
You must:
Pay all weekly payments
Complete the full term
Pay the £1 purchase fee
Only then the ownership transfers to you.
Vehicle cash price: about £34,167
Total price including VAT and services: about £68,000 plus over the contract
This includes:
Insurance
MOT
Licensing
Management fee
Breakdown cover
Telematics
Private hire licensing
So the weekly payments include many bundled services.
Payments must be made every week regardless of circumstances.
Important:
Even if you cannot drive
Even if business is slow
Even if you are sick
You must still pay.
5. Mileage Limits
The contract allows:
40,000 miles per year
3,333 miles per month
If you exceed this:
Excess charge = £0.10 per mile
Insurance is provided through Moove.
Your contract includes:
Weekly insurance charge
Moove arranges the insurance policy
However:
Important detail:
The insurance protects the vehicle value, not necessarily your payments.
Meaning:
If the car is written off, the insurer pays Moove, not you.
You must:
Report accidents immediately
Follow insurance procedures
Use approved repairers
Failure may result in:

Moove can terminate the agreement if:

Why Drivers Often Complain About This

The Simple Explanation:
If you break the contract and Moove takes the car back, they will demand that you pay them all the money you would have paid over the next 5 years (the remaining £300 weekly payments).
However, because they are asking for that money today instead of waiting 5 years, they give you a small discount (because they can invest that money now). Legally, this is called accelerated damages or a liquidated damages clause.
Hopefully that will help and give clear guidance. Most of the drivers don’t read small details and sign long contracts that only benefits The company
You can compare these companies to payday lenders where you keep paying money and own nothing if things go wrong.
Drivers should ask worker unions to make a legal framework to end these unregulated practices and drivers should be treated fairly As I can see almost every driver is treated unfairly by uber bolt and these rent to buy companies!
Irresponsible and scamming
I had been a customer of Moove Ltd for around 18 months, but unfortunately my experience has led me to stop using their service.
In my experience, the company’s handling of penalty notices and related charges has been very frustrating and unclear. For example, they charge a £10 administration fee to transfer penalty notices to drivers. However, after about a week, I have received notifications stating that the transfer was rejected by TfL or another authority. Following this, I was asked to pay the full penalty without being provided with the original PCN or any supporting evidence.
In the past, I paid several fines without questioning them, but a recent situation raised serious concerns. I was asked to pay a £240 TfL penalty for allegedly driving in the wrong direction, which I am willing to accept if valid. However, I requested proper documentation or an official receipt from TfL, and instead I was sent something that did not appear to be the original receipt. I am still waiting for a clear response and valid proof.
Overall, I found the process lacking in transparency, and customer support to be unhelpful and, at times, rude. Based on my experience, I would advise others to carefully review the terms and ensure full clarity before choosing to hire a vehicle from this company.

The fact they still charge admin fee…
The fact they still charge admin fee even when the parking ticket appeal gets approved where as other companies like hertz and splend will reimburse you. They charge £15 per ticket in one month I had 6 given to me because the powerleague I went to had a faulty camera which they acknowledged.
Also very useless staff multiple times after my car accident I requested for a call back notification to when they have received payment from 3rd party so I can get my new car which they never did.
Only good thing about them is they do no deposit upfront but I will still recommend other rent to buy companies.
It’s a good thing I waited before writing a review.
Took a Tesla model 3 box standard, not really had any issues with the car after returning the car the guy I returned to first thing he said was the tyres are bold (they weren’t) I know the legal limit, they were road legal. 5 months later they sent me a bill, with bogus late fee charges over a grand for 3 tyres, 2 tyre pressure, labour charge £26 cleaning charge £95 late fees £40, £30 of which was charged to me after id returned the car! Like all rental companies this is no different, bunch of cowboys, looking to squeeze every single penny they can! Pathetic thieves!

What made me really happy about moove is that when I went to choose my tesla the team was very nice and very patient with me I got to get an idea of how the prices work and I took my time to choose what was best for me really happy with my tesla and happy with the reasonable cheap weekly payments thank you moove great experience I hope many more phv drivers can find you and get a good deal aswell best pco car rent to buy company

Today i had a email from moove to say they booked an appointment for PHV renewal to attend on certain day and certain place without my knowledge or moove knowing my availability on that date but i actually have an appointment on that date so called moove say i have an appointment on that date and if you could please change it and they won't do it without charging me or sending them proof of my appointment even dow the renewal is appointments is over 14 days away from today and they won't get charge from PHV the charge is for their admin fees (paying them.just to change appointment date which i never aggred to), i called them few time to discuss and they were very rude, aggressive and unprofessional, my concern is why do i have to send a proof of my appointment as i never agreed to the date and i was never asked if i was available, they way they treat their customers its like they own their custmer and customers are their slave and customer has to do everything as exactly as moove says, i had many other issues with them before and it was similar experience i cannot belive how they treat, dictate their customers like they own us,
Please avoid this company who dont want extra hassle and be disrespected in life.

Moove seems okay at the start
Moove seems okay at the start — I drove for nearly 3 years, never missed payments, and never even took a holiday break. I paid over £40,000 toward a 4.5-year contract.
But when I became seriously ill and asked for a short payment pause, they didn’t care. I emailed them formally, explained my condition — they still took my car. That decision left me without any income, while I was trying to recover and look after my young family during one of the hardest times of my life.
What hurt most: I was near the end of my contract. Moove clearly saw an opportunity — they took the car and handed it to another Uber driver on a new 5-year contract to make more profit. They don’t care about your loyalty or your situation — they just move on to the next driver.
I never even used any of my holiday breaks the entire time I was with them. Trust me — don’t make the mistake I did.
But Alhamdulillah — I believe everything happens for a reason.

When one door closes, Allah opens another. Just be warned: don’t put your trust in Moove.

I was in contact with Moove before I got my PCO licence and they where very helpful and very professional,once I got my licence I spoke to Zaid , who couldn't be more helpful, I collected my car the same day as I signed for Uber , no deposit and cheap payments , would recommend to any PCO driver

You get 109 miles a day anything more than you have to pay as cab driver it’s never enough don’t be a slave for their company .!
