Just returned from a weeks holiday at Ladram Bay booked with Newmans Holidays.
Booking & checking in was really easy throughout. Ladram Bay is one of our favourite holiday parks in Devon. We booked a caravan which was dog friendly as we were taking our 10yr old Cockapoo with us. It was situated on Wilderness area which was on a upper level of the park. The caravan was in a lovely spot with a fabulous view of the sea. It was peaceful & quiet which we loved, but only a few mins walk down the hill to the main area. Our caravan was very well equipped with everything we needed & was very clean & modern. We did have a little problem with the kitchen window lever one day which wouldn't allow us to open the window. But a quick message to the customer services team at Newmans & it was quickly sorted. Also the allocated parking space outside the van was very tight to maneuver into, but managed to find a space further down after unloading.. We will definately book with Newmans again in the future as we found the Customer Service team to be very friendly & helpful. Will look at visiting another park to stay next time.

New G32B Ladram Bay
Just come back from a week at Ladram Bay in the G32B which is barely a year old. Arrived to find key code was incorrect and we couldn't get in. Paid for an early check in and beds to be made up. No beds made up and no linen. Net curtains hanging off but didn't notice this for a couple of days as they had been tucked behind the curtains and there was enough spare that it didn't notice until you went to draw them back. The settee had obviously never had its cushions removed and hoovered. Crack in window and mirror in bathroom. Loo seat in on suit needs adjusting. This is my 5th stay at Ladram Bay booked via Newman's and I have to say the only time I didn't have an issues was last year when I dealt with a lovely lady called Jules who I think must sadly now have left.

Absolutely diabolical!! Never again!
Absolutely diabolical!!! If I could give no stars I would! The girls taking calls in the office can barely answer the phone!!! They never resolve any issues, there is never a manager available to speak to, customers are continually fobbed off. They arnt proactive or productive in any shape or form. Nothing in the caravans work...you pay extra for WiFi...the routers dont work!! Ants nests in the garden and they are too afraid to contact the caravan owner. There are no instructions in the vans on how to use anything, such as fires or heating! You have to wait in day after day for people to come out and resolve the issues so you cant go out and enjoy your holiday. Newmans just cant be bothered, once they have had their money, the customer doesnt exist. They are totally incompetent.

I am very sorry to read that you have been disappointed with aspects of your stay and that you feel we have fallen short of your expectations.
As we have discussed with you during your holiday, you have spoken directly with a manager and we remain happy to work through and address the issues you have raised. We understand how frustrating it can be when problems arise during a break away and we are sorry that this has impacted your enjoyment of your holiday.
For clarity, if we do need to attend the caravan to investigate or rectify an issue, guests do not need to wait in for us. The key can simply be left in the key safe and we can attend whilst you continue to enjoy your holiday. Likewise, if there is anything within the caravan that you are unsure how to operate, please do ask and we will be more than happy to help.
We do take all guest concerns seriously and, where issues are reported to us, we will always endeavour to investigate and arrange any necessary assistance as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your feedback and hope that, despite these difficulties, you are able to enjoy the remainder of your stay.
Newmans caravan Brean
We recently hired a caravan in Brean with Newmans. The caravan we were allocated was not clean & absolutely nothing like the caravan advertised. Despite being out of season, the 3 nights cost £512.07. It lacked many key features.The bedrooms were tiny, the beds were very hard,making sleep virtually impossible. There was no wifi as the owner hadn't left the password & customer service had no records of a password on file. The caravan clearly had not been cleaned at all & cutlery was dirty. After complaining, we were then allocated a second caravan on the same site. With high hopes we packed up & went to the alternative accommodation. Disappointment was not far away. The second caravan was almost identical to the first & only differed in terms of a different garden. Still tiny beds, still hard as a rock mattresses, sleep still impossible & yes, still no wifi. This caravan also hadn't been cleaned at all & cobwebs were apparent throughout. Cleaning obviously isn't a priority for Newmans. Despite this, we managed to endure the arduous 3 night ordeal here only to be told after 2 weeks that the £100 bond that I'd paid on top of my normal costs was now not going to be refunded as it is no longer a company policy. Customer service had previously stated that my bond would be issued asap but then another person from this truly awful company informed me of the policy changes. I have been a customer with Newmans for many years and have spent many thousands of pounds with them. Never again though. I advise against anybody booking accommodation with newmans as my experience has been truly horrendous. One star is being too nice to these charlatans.

Firstly, please accept our sincere apologies that the accommodation did not meet your expectations, particularly in relation to the cleanliness concerns you have raised. This is certainly not the standard we aim to provide, and we fully appreciate how frustrating this must have been for you.
Following your initial concerns, our team did try to assist by offering alternative accommodation on the same site. We understand from your feedback that ideally you had hoped to move into lodge-style accommodation, however the alternative caravan offered was the closest available option at the time. We also understand that you were able to inspect the accommodation prior to accepting and occupying it, which is why it is particularly disappointing to hear that the replacement caravan still ultimately proved unsuitable for you.
In terms of the layout and style of the caravans themselves, we do appreciate that caravan specifications, bed sizes and mattress comfort can vary considerably between privately owned holiday homes, and unfortunately these aspects can sometimes come down to personal preference. That said, we completely understand this impacted your overall experience and enjoyment of the holiday.
We are also sorry for the confusion regarding the WiFi information and the bond process. We would like to clarify that whilst we would normally take a security bond for bookings, due to a recent change in our systems a bond was not actually taken on this occasion, and therefore no bond has been retained by us. We completely appreciate how the communication surrounding this may have caused confusion and frustration.
As a customer who has holidayed with us successfully on many occasions over the years, we are especially disappointed that this particular stay fell so far below expectations. We would genuinely love the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, as we truly believe the issues experienced on this occasion are not representative of the standard of holiday our guests would usually expect from us.
Whilst we recognise that we were unable to restore your confidence on this occasion, we do genuinely appreciate you taking the time to provide such detailed feedback, as it allows us to review both the accommodation standards and our communication processes internally.

Went to unity 5 times in 2025 and had some lovely holidays with Newman's, unfortunately this year prices have gone through the roof by at least £100 per caravan,I also noticed that you now have to have club membership, but me and my wife do not require to this.sad really but will have to look elsewhere.

We’re sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with the pricing this year. Following a £10 million investment into the park, there have been a number of changes and improvements to the facilities and overall guest experience. As part of this, entertainment passes are now included within the booking price, rather than guests needing to purchase club membership separately to access facilities or receive discounted entry.
We do appreciate that not all guests make use of these facilities, and we understand your perspective. However, this change has been made to simplify the booking process and ensure all guests can enjoy everything the park has to offer.
It’s genuinely disappointing to hear that you may be looking elsewhere, and we do hope we might have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future.
Your prices are a joke!!!
We usually use newmans to book a caravan for Devon cliffs if not once a year then twice, we've always found them reasonably priced.
I see the new website, however where are you going with these prices??? You've gone up over £100, such a shame we won't be using you this year. Thank goodness there is another supplier offering the same at around our usual price.

Been going to Devon Cliffs for around 15 years. Always beautiful scenery and well equipped lodges. Always heart breaking having to leave! Newmans Holidays are superb, especially Jules Denoire!! Newmans 100% service as always.
We always book through Newmans and have done for years, personally we would not book through anyone else.
The service received when we had an issue with the boiler was rectified and fixed within an hour and this was on a Sunday too.
I always highly recommend booking through Newmans and the fact you can book and choose the exact caravan or lodge that you want and the place on the park is just great.
Newmans offer such a variety of caravans and lodges and cater for all budgets.
We will of course be booking again soon for next year.

A holiday in Brean Sands unity somerset
We spent a week in Brean Sands Unity Park .We booked with, Newmans Holiday Caravans. what can i say the caravan was spotless throughout everything we needed and more was there .We had a patio area that we made full use of as weather was exceptional. On arrival I received the lock code well in advance. Up to the holiday the correspondence between myself and Newmans was really well orchestrated. the whole experience with this company was right on target .Will definitely be using them again in the future and recommending to family and friends. a big 5* Experience from booking to leaving holiday. Where has customer service gone?
Caravan was dirty on arrival, cups,glasses and plates dirty. Food left in the freezer from previous family. Everything sticky. Oven not working.
Can't get through to Newman's in working hours. Call message goes round in a loop. Staff at shop can't help!!! No contact from anyone from Newman's since we arrived. Sad there is no one to one human contact, only received tx messages advising what to do if we require assistance. But in reality just leaving messages to be ignored. Still have 5 days to go 🙄 what a disappointment!

I would not hesitate one bit to recommend this company to you.
The whole process of looking on their website and then talking with the Customer Service team via the telephone and finding out about the different areas and caravans available at the Ladram Bay park all went seamlessly.
We were kept up to date throughout and upon arrival we knew exactly what to do.
The caravan we had was 5 star. The owners had thought of literally everything. And the interiors were beautifully clean. The kitchen was kitted out fully with utensils. And there was an excellent oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, large fridge and freezer and a dishwasher!
All immaculate.
The location and views were beautiful.
And Ladram Bay itself is a brilliantly run park with very courteous and helpful staff.
We had a really lovely time all made possible by all parties Newmans, the caravan owners and the staff and facilities at Ladram Bay park.
A big thank you to all parties.
We will be booking for 2026 through Newmans and will definitely be returning to Ladram Bay.

Caravan was very old
Caravan was very old. It smelt strongly of damp and the level of hygiene was bad. Carpets were stinking and the whole experience was appalling. Would not recommend.
