My experience of NYAS has left me deeply concerned about transparency, accountability, and the service-user experience within the family court process.

NYAS guardians appear to hold significant influence over life-changing decisions, yet from a parent’s perspective there is very limited clarity about how decisions are made, how delays are explained, or how concerns about process can be meaningfully raised. In practice, it can feel extremely difficult to challenge recommendations or understand what oversight exists when reports are late or positions/recommendations change during final hearings.

While formal mechanisms may exist in theory, they are not clearly communicated to families and can feel inaccessible or ineffective. This creates a strong imbalance of power and leaves those affected feeling unheard and unable to question processes that have profound consequences.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend NYAS. I would urge anyone engaging with this service to proceed with caution and to seek as much independent understanding as possible about how the process works and what avenues for challenge realistically exist.

Fraudulent charity and people should not donate. This charity need reporting as they do not do what they claim also allow guardians to put alias name on legal documents that is not legal so there is no paper trail as to who has recommended. Beware do not trust and do not entertain. They try to give criminals with forged documents access of children. It’s no surprise that the trust pilot profile is unclaimed as when they get found out easier for people to hide.

These people should be shut down, they are a danger to children. They do not do what they say they have no concerns for the children is absolute samples of an organisation. Please stay well away and stay with Caffcass if possible the whole organisation are dangerous protect your children

This organisation is a sham, they should be ashamed! Stay well clear from volunteering with these people, lest your personal information also become subject to a data breach! Information about this comes 1 month later, no apology, no help of any sort! Disgusting!!!

Child abusing company… needs shutting down… head of legal is a liar… they are all lazy…. They don’t listen to judges….. do no work… are bias and don’t accept or deal with complaints…

Complete shambles of an organisation. I received a telephone call saying my child had been referred by a social worker and was asked was he still in foster care which he has NEVER been or had any dealings with such people EVER! Caused me a lot of stress and now I’m fighting for answers as to why they have data on myself and my son! Which is illegal

Who what maybes poesibilies never have reports on time if they turn up. Even when the reports are made they are untrue. Example they where really nice in person and the report said otherwise. What really hot me that they said about my meds. Biggest insult 1 there not qualified to say that two. She seem more of her head than me. Not seen my children 8 years cause there mess ups. It's horrendous. God save our men in this country. Its slaughter house. Ngl I. Gonna box for a mate that's got terminal cancer. In my eyes it's professional fight I can win. If I could leave 0 star I would these people are not to be trusted an absolute disgrace.Was going to be reporting a NYAS officer to SOCIAL WORK ENGLAND however when I looked SHES NOT REGISTERED. Wow wow wow. So she’s either not registered, ILLEGAL or she given an alias name to the court so not legitimate in person, ILLEGAL or not practicing with the name she’s registered, ILLEGAL. Record all conversations and have a witness present always. Nyas officer has also been using an alias name in court to hide a paper trail of the fact she is assisting illegal immigration, I have the evidence too late now, so much for avoiding a paper trail. These people even go as far as not doing police checks. They will try to get as much information out of you as possible then make out like they have done checks via your information then make out like there’s no problem when it can be twisted or don’t mention anything at all. They are also 100% connected to Cafcass despite what they say as they still go by their reports thus Cafcass using your child’s legal aid. When Cafcass can’t get anywhere they then ask NYAS to flight their corner despite no longer being a party of proceedings. What a bunch of criminals. CAFCASS & NYAS ARE 100% CONNECTED. Mothers on trial. Extremely bias. Not trauma informed. Absolutely appalling.

Not listened to the voices of children captured by 3rd parties in statements, direct phone call from my child, ignored expert report in managing future risks , Very dangerous individuals.

Not complied with a single deadline for reports, making us return to court several times, because they were never ready. The caseworker assigned has been the biggest failure to my children's happiness and well being in all the years I have had the mis fortune to be involved in the central family court. She has not provided quality advocacy for my children. Has a independent consultancy which may explain why she has strung this work out for 18 months. The excessive delays has caused emotional stress and anxiety which they have accepted no part in that.

I am asking for feedback forms for the children on the "recommendations" from the report.

My case worker is Ms Scott,has my case for more than 3month . Not show any interest to read any court papers and CAFCASS reports. Not bothered to offer visit, written report 4 days in prior of hearing and didn’t want to discuss any of her statement. Neither provided any documents or facts to support her statement.
Any complaints are pointless, my complaints were written well before hearing date, I was asking for responsible case worker, who able to read what judge asked to do. Probably to much for NYAS. My complaints were postponed three times. And review was written after hearing date. Basically outcome of complaint was : Too late to complain, you get what you get.
And for some reason, Ms Scott thinks that I have to be sorry for her as she apparently was unwell for over 2 months. Not even notified me that she’s not able to complete paperwork.
Should lay up nice story with office, who said she is on holiday.
Not at work-pass the case someone else.Simple as that.

Court order completed by barrister is another disgusting. . She doesn’t even understand difference between psychiatrist vs psychologist.
Avoid if you can, they don’t show any interest in children.
If you can’t avoid them, do everything in writing. Otherwise they will deny everything.

It’s safe to say the whole guirdian and NYAS is a mockery and a joke.

Unprofessional, borderline criminal.

Document every interaction with them and cc them in the accounts of each interaction to your solicitor. Keep a complete audit trail. They lie and manipulate. They do not have the child's best interest at heart.

For clarity, I ‘won’ our family court case and still feel this way about the case worker from NYAS. She caused my children more trauma!! Complaints are ignored… MH social worker should be struck off the social worker register.

I would give less than one if I could and zero would better reflect our experience.

I was led to believe NYAS would advocate for our children and be their voice. I told the children as such, as I believed that a caseworker would listen to the children and reflect the truth and facts. The NYAS caseworker directly sent my ex who has abused both myself and the children my personal details when they were directly requested not to. This was the first GDPR breech, I then reported it and the caseworker attempted to blame me. The second GDPR breech was when the same case worker blind copied in our 12 Yr old in to her communications with the police sharing confidential and sensitive information that a child should not be aware of. The same case worker reported incorrect and false information at court which she relied on. The case worker stated that a section 37 was not required stating it wasn’t necessary. Her option changed once she became aware I had raised a complaint in regards to her behaviour as she then recommended a section 37 despite not speaking to me again after her report was to be shared with the court. Be careful.

I am Autistic and have no significant issues however she placed this as a concern regarding my ability to parent with no knowledge or awareness of my ability. I cried when she asked me information about the situations we experienced and then reported this as me being disregulated, erratic and irrational in my response.

She informed our son that his allegations of abuse were wrong and that she attempted to inform him that his injuries were not as a result of his father and tried to convince him it was from other sources.

Our son now is aware his father was investigated for criminal offences (something he was protected against).

You spend hours completing your application only for the recruitment team to ignore it and not even have the curteousy to acknowledge receipt. I suspect this is widespread, with good candidates being overlooked. Does their management team know about this or are they also part of the problem.

Absolutely zero understanding of domestic abuse or coercive control.

I wonder if the self-employed social workers they contract are up to date with training or professional development?

NYAS is pathetic. Their 'caseworker' did not take the voice of the children. They made highly racist comments. They lied over and over and when they got caught out by their lies, continued to lie. My children have suffered horrificaly and I will not take this lying down - someone has to take a stande against such disgusting corruption and lies. They know they can get away with it as judges will see them as 'experts' (though they are not) and think they've done their job when in actual fact every NYAS employee I have met is lazy, incompetent and a liar. That is not factually and fortunately all my documentation shows this and I have a very good case in court against them. Obviously, it is expensive to go to court as we all know sothey sit smug thinking no one will take them on. Let's take them on. It's not that they are not fit for purpose - but that they actively harm children.

Ms Marlene Marcano should never be allowed to have access to children!
I have never met someone so dishonest and intent on destroying someone. She lies in every breath she speaks and fabricates stories. All I can say is RECORD EVERYTHING!!! If you ever come across the name Marlene Marcano i suggest running and if you can’t make sure you record everything. She is a liar and she should never be working with children as she puts them directly in the face of danger.
She lies and lies and then when questioned about something plays the victim.
She is the most horrific person you will ever deal with and the biggest LIAR!!!

Waste of time. requested a advocate for child. these muppets send someone spoke once to child and was suppose to be at a meeting never turned up and spoke to child again.

I'd give no stars if that was possible.

Completely untrustworthy, the NYAS officer we had the unfortunate fate of dealing with did not consider the child's best interests or wishes in the slightest. She made a biased unfinished report without actually putting much work or consideration into it whatsoever.

Luckily for us the judge has not followed any of her recommendations to date but she's still on the case so will see what's to come. Won't hold out any hope for the child involved though.

Fabricating facts liars : Ms Sarita Massen. She lied in the court and in all her reports. Record everything she says and voice record every conversation. She will lie, twist and make the case and money out of you. This company should get shut down, do nothing but harm.
