Professional agency company for their follow up actions and arrangements on your application. Very detailed informations has been enclosed in communication emails or face-to-face training. You will be peace of mind during the job hunting process.

I’ve been working for Pertemps for approaching 5 years now. In the beginning I dealt with their local Didcot office where you knew people by name and you could always contact people and they’d always respond promptly and answer the phone. They moved to a regional system where I was managed by their South Central team, then seemingly switched to their Midlands team, then back to South Central again. About a year ago, it became impossible to get hold of anyone in the South Central team. You suspected staff shortages. You could leave messages, but no one answered them. In the end, I found a lady in the Midlands team who did respond to email and who actually seemed to care.

I would also warn that, if you work for them for any length of time, that you mark down on a calendar or something when you started. I say this, because your leave allocated is based on the anniversary of your start date and, if you go over 5 days on the anniversary date, you automatically lose anything over the 5 days. I explained that, in any other job, it’s usually April or January but always the same date for all employees. They used to give reminders to use leave if it was building up. Not any more. Be warned. I managed to get 3 days back, but it was a struggle.

In the last year, they seem to have got a lot better (I had an issue over taking leave and statutory sick pay, which you can’t do), and they were responsive to my enquiries regarding this.

I like what Pertemps founders said they stand for, but decentralisation is always a slippery slope in my opinion.

Pension is with Nest which I also think is good. Rating therefore a 3 moving back towards a 4 as things stand.

They gave me a good positive position in a good company, and when the position didn't fit, they recognized my hard work and relocated me into a different position that was a much better fit for my engine. Overall, it's been far more satisfying for me to get on with the work at hand. The pay has always been correct, on time, and holidays were also dealt with correctly without any fuss. I have worked for a lot of agencies, 90% tell you lies, tell you about a job, make it sound nice and interesting just to get you there and it's not as described, Pertemps is different, they tell you exactly what the job is doing and it is as described, and the 2 girls in Sheffield branch are the nicest and helpful people I have ever met.

It has been an awesome journey thus far... the most exciting is mode of communication and how swift you respond to enquiries...
