The management at BF is incredibly disappointing. Staff hours are cut leaving employees struggling. It is becoming obvious that a selected couple of people are highly flavoured by management and given all the hours they want, while everyone else is left to suffer the consequences.

Staff are being pushed out by these unfair rotas. HR needs to look into how this specific branch is being run, because the current favouritism and lack of respect is unacceptable.

Just because these favoured Staff members happen to be keyholders, they are allowed to take up all the Available hours while getting away with whatever they want. They completely avoid tills, and management allows this. These favered Staff members laugh while us working employees work and get less hours while these are ranking it in doing nothing. Management seems to forget we have homes, bills, children and family's to support too, not just their favourite employees.

Management needs a wake up and learn to give everyone equal fair hours not cut us doing our job.

I would give this zero stars if i could. At the swanley poundstretcher a guy was working on tills I believe his name tag was ed or Eddie and he was TERRIBLE there was barely any customers in the store and managed to still cause a whole entire line of people, he was to slow at his job and even managed to lose 3 customers because of how long he took, but instead of not firing that guy I believe they fired someone else, might I add they didnt give him a notice which maybe have no been required and they didnt give him a reason, the manager who was meant to fire him decided not to and got someone else to fire him. However I guess the one star is valid as there was this one guy who was really helpful I think his name is Liam? Maybe something else I cant remember, he was exceptionally fast at tills and got the job done whilst also being one out of the two people actually doing their job! So thank you Liam for doing your job and actually managing well on tills, but Eddie needs to pick up the pace to be honest bit of a snail ngl.

I'd give zero stars if possible. They have refused to refund me for a faulty item as i have no till receiept- I wasn't given one! I took my bank statement showing the transaction a week earlier but they have refused it.

Bought a carton of Clean& Shine Descaler Tablets from Pound Stretcher. After over 40 minutes in 1/2 litre of cold water the tablets did not dissolve as recommended.
Complete waste of money.

Amazing Service found mouams for 99p most sweets we're there staff were really friendly and talked to my daughter alot

Bad customer service racist staff

My 14-year-old daughter and her best friend visited this store to buy me a small gift. They were happily looking at the metal head massagers when a member of staff—an older woman with a bob haircut—suddenly banged the display hard and shouted, "Have you read this?" while pointing to a sign saying not to try the product for hygiene reasons.

My daughter had actually intended to buy the item for me. Instead, both girls were left feeling intimidated, embarrassed and upset.

It's disappointing that some adults automatically assume teenage girls are going to misbehave. They were simply enjoying shopping together and had done nothing to deserve being spoken to in such a hostile manner.

Customer service costs nothing. This experience has put us off returning, and we won't be shopping here again.

Appalling attitude from a male member of staff at The Brewery, Romford. After my son and daughter in law unloaded two trolleys and paid the female cashier around thirty pounds, packing into a large bag the man stopped her saying she hadn't paid for all the items. With two toddlers waiting to go to the cinema we had to wait while he put everything through again saying he saw it on cctv. When it transpired the cashier hadn't scanned a few items properly there was no apology. If he had watched properly he would have seen the cashier was a fault,if anyone. Who spends that much and doesn't pay for a few items?! Won't be going there again

Really really good customer service at till. Beats all other bigger main stream shops. Well done.

All store Staff at this Egham were incredibly rude, to the point where it completely put me off shopping here ever again. You would think that with Poundstretcher currently facing major financial distress, the staff would be doing everything they can to value and retain every single customer. Instead, the service was shocking and unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had a disappointing experience at this Wembley Central store recently. I felt that the customer service could use significant improvement. The staff member at the register seemed to lack an understanding of what makes for good customer service, which left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I believe that with some attention to customer care and staff training, this store could enhance the overall shopping experience. It might be beneficial for the management to address these concerns in order to better serve their customers and improve the store's reputation.

If I had the option to choose 0 stars, I would! I have never experienced such poor, disrespectful, unprofessional and downright rude customer service in all my life as I did today at Poundland Streatham High Road! The staff member, ironically, with 'Can I help/I can help' printed on the back of his shirt was anything but helpful: He rushed me as I was scanning my items, insisted I did not pay for a long-life bag (which I paid £1 for x2, then, after leaving the store and having checked my receipts, I returned to claim my rightful refund of £1!), and did not even bother to apologise for his error and my inconvenience! Needless to say, I will never return to this store, and will likely never spend my hard-earned money at another Poundland ever again!

excellent service i received today Saturday 23rd May 2026 from poundstretchers Blackwood retail Park Blackwood.

I purchased a Garden picnic table, as was heavier than I thought myself and my husband had a problem getting it from the shelf,

Paul from your Blackwood store did not hesitate to help my husband lift it down and put in trolley for us, he then accompanied us to check out where a lovely young lady Jessica served us again was friendly, Paul then proceed into car park and helped my husband put it in car for this
we are very grateful, our trolley was even returned for us.

I was having a joke with my friend and I fast walked [not ran] away as he tried to joke punch me and the manager told us to stop running even though we were fast walking and he called us an idiot and I said what did u call me he said an idiot and what

Pound stretcher are ripping customers off in Birmingham.They keep saying they don't have any 35 p carrier bags and trying to sell shot bags they've bought at £ 1.49.
They think we're stupid,skank stretchers

Went to Acocks Green store. It's like the krypton factor to get out. Boxes everywhere. It needs addressing.

I went into my local poundstretcher store to buy a bottle of Lucozade they charged me £1.35 when I got home I poured a glass and I thought that didn’t taste right when I looked at the date on the bottle it was 4 months out of date, does no one check dates.

Racist manager
I have ever met. I worked there for one month all she got me doing was being on the tills she wouldn’t let me touch the money. She wouldn’t teach me how to open and close the store properly she says she couldn’t support my disability or how I could even apply for being a key holder.
I left I couldn’t handle the abuse anymore

I've purchased a few bits in a few different branches and they've always been decent

Having been in food retail for about 30 years I have witnessed with Pound Stretcher in Bitterne Precinct, Southampton, Hampshire (Next door to a Poundland - open 8am) The most appalling executive management whereby the store has not been open until 9am as a rule. in the busiest period of the retail year. With thousands of pounds worth of Christmas merchandise on display. Which, as of yesterday, is being packed up to make room for the gardening products. They do not deserve the brilliant manager they have. (no relation!)! And at this rate with the useless, aforementioned, senior management they are heading to be another Woolworths or worst still the 99p shops. They, apart from their buyers, should come down from their ivory tower.
