I ordered the Pure Mama “Postpartum Kit”

I ordered the Pure Mama “Birth & Postpartum Essentials Bundle,” and my experience has been extremely disappointing. As a pregnant mom preparing for birth, I chose this kit because the marketing made it look simple, organized, and ready to go — almost like a “1, 2, 3” solution that could be placed straight into my hospital bag. The imagery clearly shows all the products arranged inside or directly beside a cosmetic bag, giving the impression that the bag is included as part of the bundle.

What I actually received was a flimsy cardboard box with loose items inside — nothing like the clean, organized, hospital‑bag‑ready kit they advertise. There was no cosmetic bag, no structure, and no indication anywhere on the product page that the U.S. version would be different from what is shown. For a company targeting pregnant women, this level of misleading presentation is unacceptable.

When I reached out for clarification, the customer service representative, Sammy — whose title claims she is a “mom of two” — showed no empathy, compassion, or understanding. Instead, her responses were dismissive, defensive, and focused on shifting blame onto me as the customer. She insisted the cosmetic bag was just a “styling prop” and compared it to background décor like tables and jewelry. This comparison was not only inaccurate, it was condescending. A cosmetic bag placed as the functional container for the kit is not the same as furniture in the background. The distinction is obvious, and it was disappointing to see someone who claims to be a mother show such little understanding toward another expecting mom.

To make matters worse, their other marketing materials — including promotional banners describing the bundle as an “all‑in‑one birthing bag” — reinforce the same misleading impression. There are no disclaimers, no regional notes, and no transparency. Instead of taking responsibility for how their own marketing is structured, Sammy repeatedly minimized the issue and implied it was my misunderstanding. At no point did she acknowledge the misleading imagery or the stress this caused during an already vulnerable time.

Her tone lacked accountability, warmth, and professionalism. Rather than addressing the core issue, she attempted to justify the misleading presentation and offered a “goodwill” refund that did nothing to resolve the problem. The entire interaction felt like the company was more interested in deflecting blame than supporting their customers — especially pregnant women who rely on accurate information and trustworthy brands.

As a first‑time mom, the last thing I needed was unnecessary stress caused by a company’s lack of transparency and poor customer service. No pregnant woman should have to fight this hard to get clarity on something that should have been clearly disclosed from the start.

I hope Pure Mama takes this experience seriously — revises their marketing, updates their product listings, and trains their customer service team (especially those representing themselves as mothers) to communicate with honesty, empathy, and respect. Until then, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
