Intend putting in complaint. 1 lot of 3 (scabious) all 3 are plants with no evidence of side shoots but all are in bud had their buds removed or rotting. Not very good given your reputation.

What a shoddy organisation!

What a shoddy organisation. I ordered from them because they claimed to have stock of all items I needed. When my order was not delivered as indicated on the order confirmation I investigated “tracking”. The order had not shipped, and part of the order was out of stock for more than a month, despite assurances in the website otherwise. I emailed a complaint (the only means if contact) and to my surprise received a call back within the hour.
They admitted not having stock despite stating that their website states that they did. We found alternate sizes that they did physically have in stock, but they would not amend my order and fulfil the order
I will not be using them again

Very disappointing Customer Service, avoiding responsibility

We ordered a product which was described on the Primrose website as having securing pins included. The item arrived on time but the packaging was badly damaged (completely open both ends) and the necessary pins were not in the box. I contacted Primrose Customer Service and they eventually emailed to say that they had contacted the supplier/manufacturer and I was mistaken and no securing pins are included. I queried this, referring to information on the Primrose website as well as the installation video produced by the manufacturers. Again Primrose Customer Service said I was mistaken and had misunderstood. I then contacted the supplier/manufacturer myself. They confirmed that they had heard from Primrose with this enquiry and told them that the securing pins should have been in the pack. I feel that Primrose had deliberately mislead me in order to avoid sending the missing items. Very disappointed.

Late delivery (2-3 days stated, took 7)

Ordered a gift on the evening of the 9th march for mother's day as primrose stated 2-3 days delivery. Arrived on 17th March so a week later and missed mother's day. Took over 24 hours to respond to email asking where the plant was.
The plant is nice but don't buy if you want the product within the specified time frame.

Bought 2 Corten steel planters 5 years…

I bought 2 Corten steel planters 5 years ago from Primrose that started disintegrating within 3.5 years when they should last 10-15. We set them up perfectly in our garden in a sunny location, off the ground etc, but they are now completely rusted through and useless. I so wish I’d gone to Coolings, our local centre, as they are confident in their products with full personal customer service. Sadly they didn’t have the size planter we were after!

The dreadful dismissive customer service I’ve encountered at Primrose is a joke, with no direct to centre number to call (eventually found a number, sounds like a call centre!) and a patronising email in return to my two original polite emails.


Do not buy products from this company, they lied about the material used on their website and simply don’t care about their customers! How they expect anyone to come back after selling such cheap products as quality and reliable is a mystery, they put profit over loyalty to those who keep them going.

Never buy potted plants from this site

Never buy potted plants from this site, mine just arrived damaged and out of their pots because they were not packaged correctly, and there were no labels on the package to say which way up the places were. This has never been the case with plants I have bought from other sources.

PestBye Cat Repeller - Good Purchase

I purchased a pack of 2 PestBye battery operated cat repellers. I thought I'd need 2 to cover the area in the garden, however so far I've only needed one. It's worked very well and the price was competitive with other good options online. Delivery was within the expected timescales as well

Great product but delivery company did not follow instructions

Great product but delivery company did not follow delivery instructions.
Just backed up on the drive and threw the bags out the back of his van.
I requested that they get put to the right of drive on the lawn. Stated those instructions as I am unable my self at the moment to lift anything as heavy as those bags due to abdominal surgery.
I'd ordered these for a customer for my guys to spread on her garden beds.

Dreadful Delivery Service

Product OK. Stupid delivery driver dumped 5 x 5m willow fence rolls on the path outside our front door and drove off. Didn't ring the bell. We couldn't get out the front door and I had to call a neighbour in the rain to help move them!!
If he'd rung the bell they could have gone straight in the garage. What a rubbish and super lazy delivery and poor service. Will never order anything from you again. Very angry.

First designated delivery by DX Express did not arrive on date the company specified. Excellent Customer Service from Case Manager Thando ensured the item was delivered on a subsequant date.
