Not the Biggest, but Certainly Not the Best
Pukeko Rentals promotes itself as “not the biggest, but the best.” Unfortunately, based on our experience, they fell well short of that standard.
Communication throughout our tenancy was poor. Important concerns often went unanswered for extended periods, including a significant issue that left us waiting weeks without meaningful updates or support. We repeatedly had to follow up ourselves just to receive basic responses.
The end of our tenancy was equally disappointing. Despite providing everything required for our bond refund, it took around a month to be processed. Our refund request was initially declined without explanation, and it was only after we questioned the decision that it was approved. At no point were we proactively informed of what was happening.
Overall, we found the management to be unresponsive, disorganised, and lacking the professionalism and accountability that tenants should be able to expect. If your goal is to be known as the best rather than the biggest, our experience suggests there is considerable room for improvement.
