Awful standard and ignorant attitude by the branch’s managements
I am afraid that Aldershot pure gym standard is very low.
I tired to give the manager feedbacks but they ignored it.
For an example: they said that they don’t have cleaners when I complained about smelly & dirty toilets.
The clock on the wall stayed behind and at some point the battery perhaps run out.
They replied that we need a ladder.
They cancelled booked classes before starting the session and no updates were provided.
I see all these issues due to bad management.

I joined online whilst I was on the entrance of the gym on a Saturday without any staff present. Was sent a pin to access the gym entrance as soon as I completed the registration and payment. I was very happy coz I didn't know that the pin would come promptly for me to enter and train the same day. Very convenient way of registering. I got a big discount on my registration.

If you value you’re life do not use this gym
There are several members that will make you feel very uncomfortable
The problem is management don’t bother to address this issue,, I’ve now raised this with Hampshire police
Who are now looking into the bullying and insults that certain members are making

No way in.
Not easy to join. I tried going to the gym but there's no way in without a code and no-one answered when I rang the front desk so I guess there was no-one on duty. I used the online in the end but there some sort of fob I'm meant to have and no idea where to get one.

We are sorry to hear of the issues you had joining. A fob is an optional purchase and not necessary to enter the gym. All members are sent an 8 digit unique code which is entered on the pads to gain entry and exit the gym. It didn't initially give me the option to apply add-ons, so I had to go back.
Everything was fine but your changing room and shower set up, even for a budget gym is very unwelcoming. Only 1 changing cubicle? Almost see through shower glass? The shower button is horrendous. Please please consider how uncomfortable this could make a insecure new joiner and ask the higher upps about improvements. Thank you for your time.

Too small
Too small would be higher if it had more benches and smith machines but it just doesn't have the space for it

Not the best
I was expecting a bigger gym with more equipment available, i.e. weights area with few racks for training and not well equipped, not enough space for own exercises, not enough mirrors. Also, ventilation system to improve.
Honestly, money is not worth it. Previous gym in Guildford I paid £ 34 monthly but 3 floors and lots of equipment.

Good but lacked body weight equipment
I paid for a daily pass, reasonably priced at £8.99.
There was lots of equipment but a few missing items like a dips bar (only 1x fandango assisted dips machine), and the chin-up bars were all incorporated into frames and machines which inevitably meant doing chin-ups while t-bagging the bloke doing bench press below. Other than that it is pretty good.

Good price unless you don't miss your monthly payment
Good price, the gym is always very busy which I guess you expect for a cheap gym, I have ended up paying a lot extra in charges they add if you miss a payment on time around £20 in charges over my usual payment of £30 its unreasonable to charge that much, that would be my only complaint.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day.
Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.
As stated in our terms and conditions, accepted upon membership commencement, we are able to charge up to £20 in admin fees, for a failed payment.
We are notified by the bank when a payment has failed; we then notify the member via email. In the email, we state that for a very limited time, we do give the option to make a payment using a debit or credit card for:
• Instalment Amount
• Administration Fee £ 5.00
This can be done via the members area of our website https://www.puregym.com/members/ with your email address and PIN number. By using this facility, members will not incur the Resubmission fee of £15.00.
Additionally, we do have a dedicated Member Services Team on hand to respond to members if they need any help.
We do hope this does not deter you from the club, and hope you enjoy your time with us! Thanks PureGym
Was good when I joined way back .. but ..
Was good when I joined way back. But it just feels like cut backs now. There is no longer any WiFi and for weeks I have been using data on my phone. And it used to be that when equipment broke it was repaired quickly. Now it takes quite a while to get repaired. The free drinks as part of a premium membership is now rationed.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.
If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.
Each use of the Yanga machine gives 500ml of water, and can be used multiple times on your visit. Your PureGym pin just needs 20 minutes to reset in between.

Very helpful and really enjoy the classes as it is a different trainer per class and always something different. The equipment is I'm good condition and a nice variety and the team is always helpful and happy to chat.
