I can’t thank Lyndsay enough , she has guided me through all the steps of joining , which were quite overwhelming at first. She massively helped me. I can understand how she is the manager , she really does know everything you need to know when joining for the first time.

Great inclusive gym
Great gym. Lots of space, equipment and areas to find your own tribe. Subsidised parking makes attending real value and the PTs are friendly and approachable. Big shout out to Sophie Rushmere and Rob Head who are both really engaging fun and supportive. Sophie's spin class is full on challenging but great fun once you have been a few times. Started Rob's Friday HIIT class which is tough for me as a bloke of 59 really trying to lift my fitness... Coming up to a year as a member and it is now a core part of my weekly life.. Thanks all

The gym smelt so bad
The gym smelt so bad, I feel like there was no ventilation and the overall experience was really poor. Some good equipment but also some really really dated machines for example the tredmills. Would not go again, sadly I bought a whole month subscription which is now completely wasted as I will not go back.

Desappinted
Hello,
I recently signed up for PureGym, and I was unable to use my international card. As a result, I had to pay for three months upfront, which was more expensive. I am a student, and I could not access the student benefits, which is very disappointing.
Being forced to pay a large amount at once is very difficult for a student. I find this situation unfair and I do not agree with it.

I was on holiday in my home town and I needed to use a gym so I went to Pure gym. A brilliant gym! I could use it for the week at a very affordable price, as many times I wanted. Fantastic equipment and trainers. Thoroughly recommend and I’ll be returning at Christmas again! Altrincham Pure gym! Cheers all, especially Rob for helping me out!

I couldn't ask for more- PureGym, Alty
I have been a member of PG in Alty, for a few years now and this is my first review : if there was an option to give them 10 stars I would happily give it to them!
Just to be clear: I have no interest in this company and nobody asked me to leave this review but thought it would help local community if looking to join a gym.
The facilities are great and always spotless, which makes such a difference. The staff are respectful, friendly, and genuinely helpful whenever you need them.
I have a few chronic MSK conditions and felt some classes are not for me.
However, their experienced, kind, listening and helpful professionals, Dec McCarthy, Robert Head, to name a few, have always come up with more suitable alternatives, even for the same class that I thought is not for me.
I’ve also found their replies to emails super quick and any issues get sorted efficiently. It feels like a well-run and welcoming place to work out.
And boy, have I told you about their Yoga and Pilates classes with S.Dunne and J.Fisher???!!!! The best in Alty: a medicine for your body, mind and spirit!!!
Things that PG Alty could improve:
we would like one more class of Yoga and Pilates, please, with the above Instructors, but not at a too late time of the day when our energy levels are down, 8-9 pm, and we can't be bothered to get our "backsides" out to attend. :-)))
I would also like to urge everyone thinking joining PG Alty to come to Dec's MIND class: is a fantastic class if you recovering from an injury, it covers anything from getting your strength, mobility, balance and coordination back.
In the end, I apologise to all those professionals who did not see their name here, purely because of my ignorance and not remembering them all, but know this:
you are ALL fantastic and I could not ask for more!!! Including the Admin Team!!!

Value for money!
After being a member for more than 5 years, I sadly had to leave this gym due to moving home. The Altrincham branch has been amazing value for money, especially as I like to workout in the morning, when it tends to be a bit quieter. Easy parking, plenty of equipment, loads of space, and welcoming, friendly staff.

Once I found the correct plan
Once I found the correct plan, the forms were easy to fill out and the app was easy to download and log into. I will say that finding the right plan was a bit difficult for me since we don’t have a permanent address yet. Maybe have an easy to see promo for people who are visiting the UK.

Great space and equipment
Really enjoy the amount of space at Altrincham, so you can quietly get on with your exercise without worrying about the place feeling busy. Loads of good machines so never a problem to find equipment to use.

Could do better

Altrincham gym:- Showers cool & parts…
Altrincham gym:- Showers cool & parts of the gym are cold again.
Numbers have dropped and the manager does not appear 'to get it', sort the place out.
Just waiting for Altrincham leisure centre to reopen after total refurb.

Temperatures and air conditioning in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Thanks, PureGym.

Showers out of order, again @ Altrincham puregym and disabled facilities not in use, what is going on?
This is happening too many times and no information is given to the gym users.
Get a grip, new management please.
