Huge downgrade from previous gym.
Compared to the previous Kentish Town gym, this is overstuffed, cramped and cant help but feel like a downgrade. Stations jammed together to feel claustrophobic, they had 5 or more cross-trainers previously, now there's only 2 in a tiny corner, the classes are in a smaller space so limited equipment can be incorporated into classes. I dont think this is adequate for the number of people who use it.

Please be aware due to the situation of our gyms it isn't always possible to extend the site itself, however, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities where possible, so please keep an eye out for updates. If you have any specific suggestions regarding the layout of the gym, or additional equipment suggestions, please approach the Gym Manager who will be more than happy to discuss this even further! The new gym is decent it has more equipment than the old one. But quite a few people in there including myself said that there is a lack of mirrors in the rooms, I HATE when gyms dont have mirrors it makes working out so difficult and feels claustrophobic in there. Please could some mirrors be added to the rooms. This would make ALL the difference

Bright, shiny, and new
The new Kentish Town site provides for an excellent gym with the same fabulous trainers. The classes are inspiring, invigotating & very well taught. The gym itself benefits from a vast array of new equipment, natural light, modern showers, plus the running up & down the stairs between floors adds on opportunity for that extra bit of cardio! Feels Unsafe
While some of the classes here are good and instructors nice, I found this gym to be unsafe.
I was harassed here and used the emergency phone, only to be told by an off duty staff member (I believe the gym manager) that no one contacted by this method would help. No staff member helped as they were teaching a class, even though the person who had harassed me was still on property.
I cancelled my membership. Legally gyms must ensure the safety of members and I cannot see how this gym is operating within current H&S legislation.
I have been to gyms all over the world and have never had an experience like this.

Needs more leg workouts. No thigh workouts.

PureGym prides itself on being able to offer state-of-the-art fitness facilities to our members in a safe and welcoming environment. We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to reduce self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste.
We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment:

Power plate still not working after months
Almost Everything is good about Pure gym, really enjoyed it since I'm a member
But one thing I ve to complain about is that the Power Plate has been not in use for months!! And this is not good as I did say this to member of staff and asked when it will be repaired but so far no news and it still unusable . Really a shame. I think it must be broken since August....

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment are fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Thanks, PureGym.

Friendly people, easy process
I emailed yesterday to arrange a visit. Other members v helpful when I arrived and fetched manager. Good chat and look around. The gym is much lighter and more spacious than I had thought. Quick and easy to join on line and app seems easy to use.

I joined to try out a class - but you have to join to find out whether the class is full. So I have paid £10 to be on a waiting list....
