Spacious gym with good weights and lots of mirrors
A clean, spacious gym with high-quality equipment and a great free weights area. Plenty of mirrors, which is something a few other gyms I’ve used have lacked and is really useful when lifting without someone to spot for me. This gym is also open 24 hours a day - being able to work out at night is relaxing.
3 hours’ free parking is also a plus!

We are sorry to learn you were unable to take advantage of the promotion running. All the details of these exclusions can be found in our Terms & Conditions.
Tours of the gym can be taken before signing up. We advise going to the gym between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday- Friday when staff are more likely to be around and able to assist. You just need to press the assistance buzzer on the Easy Access doors and a member of the team will be happy to help as soon as they can. However, if you were aiming to use the equipment during this visit, a Day Pass would need to be purchased. The Gym is generally great
Overall, the gym is great — I really appreciate the new equipment and the fact that it’s open 24/7, which offers excellent flexibility.
I do have a couple of things that could be improved, though. Firstly, the gym tends to get very busy during peak times, and it’s often impossible to find available shoulder pulldown or seated back machines. I sometimes end up giving up and moving on to cardio instead. Adding a few more of these machines would make a world of difference.
Secondly, the cleanliness of the cardio equipment could be improved. I often notice that some machines are sweaty or appear not to have been wiped down for a while. It would help if cleaning wipes were made more accessible and staff either cleaned the equipment more frequently or encouraged members to wipe it down after use. I’m more than happy to do my part — it’s just common courtesy to other users!

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym. We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio, but if you have any specific suggestions please approach the Gym Manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. We continue to ask, as we always have, that members bring a sweat towel with them to wipe equipment. Outside of this, our gyms have full cleaning schedules. Value for money
Started the gym for the first time.
Staff are helpful.
Equipment is top notch.
Its near my house so not far to travel.

Joined this PureGym online at the…
Joined this PureGym online at the weekend, only took minutes to sign up and I booked my induction online for 08:30 Monday morning.
Great range of equipment which was well explained during my induction.
The venue is very clean, you access via the app or your pin and can even access 24 hrs a day if you work shifts.
I took on the off peak membership at less than £18 per month and think it’s great value.

Way too busy
Way too busy, cannot even get on a machine. PureGym should limit the members. Unfair and a complete waste of money. Plus after joining on their “best sale” they then reduced the membership by half price which isn’t only annoying it’s just unfair marketing. Safe to say I will be cancelling after my month.

Our gyms are indeed very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website to see how many people are in the gym.
Please also feel free to ask to switch in with a member while they rest between sets, this can also help you keep an even pace between sets. Thanks, PureGym.

Gym floor was dirty and equipment all over the place, changing rooms lockers- quite a few seem to be permanently out of use with padlocks on the same ones even in the early hours (not that many in the changing rooms to start with), management don't seem to be bothered even when it's been pointed out

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to address this.
