I was fined for using the car park
I was fined for using the car park. I went at 6 in the morning after work. I saw no signs saying you have to enter your car registration details to avoid a fine. I have since visited six times so I'm expecting plenty more letters. Good gym but very disappointed about this.

Hi Paul- Thanks for taking the time to leave this review, we always appreciate and take on board member feedback. We are sorry to hear that you received a parking fine whilst using the gym. The car park is operated by a third party company in which we do not have any affiliation with. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to cancel such tickets. Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking. The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with an appeal document which will be an official letter from PureGym Head Office, stating that you are a member of PureGym and your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym. If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal. On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome. Thanks, PureGym.
After asking for the gym main clock to…
After asking for the gym main clock to be replaced since over the last 6 months, I came in today to find it has been now replaced🥸With a tiny dark wall clock with NO BATTERIES 🥸. I often deliberately leave my phone at home when visit in order to focus as a very busy mum and with work and other commitments.
Time is very important to me and I don’t appreciate asking people for the time. We used to have TVs when I first joined and it helped me relax each time I came ; (no I don’t like using iPod etc) but that has gone as well.
I feel the gym can do better this year..I also noticed the water fountains are both disgusting with people often using their hands and mouth.

I didn’t have any contact to call to get added information from. The bot giving answers on the Instagram chat also didn’t have the correct response.

Great Gym
Great no frills Gym, always clean, friendly staff and I can always get on the equipment I want to use which is important. Also the app is excellent and has loads of great features including workouts to follow.

Music Licence and Gym Class Experience
I've been going to Pure Gym Warrington Central since January 2023, and the staff are what make this gym so great. As a regular gym class attendee, I've taken part in spin, pump, circuits, abs, step, and legs, bums & tums over the past couple of years. The instructors bring so much knowledge, energy, and motivation to every class, and the music plays a huge role in creating that atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the recent decision to stop purchasing the music licence has really taken away from the gym class experience. Since only non-copyrighted music can be played now, the quality has noticeably dropped, and the classes just don’t have the same energy. After attending a few sessions with the new music, I’ve left feeling unmotivated and deflated. Kev’s spin class, in particular, was a highlight of my week—his energy and enthusiasm made it something to look forward to, so I’m really disappointed that his spin classes are no longer running.
I want to stress that the staff at this gym are absolutely fantastic and the reason I’ve stayed a member for so long. But it’s a real shame that Pure Gym as a company has chosen not to invest in the music licences, as it’s had a big impact on the experience. Unfortunately, this has left me considering other gym options.
