Would give no star if I could. Terrible company to deal with DO NOT recommend.
Terrible customer service. Refused to give a refund even though contact was made on their website within a few minutes of ordering. I placed the order then after payment realised paperwork to be included had to be in my husband’s name. I then reordered in his name therefore payment was taken twice. When no response to website communication I emailed the following day. Emails back and forth would not give telephone number to discuss. Assertive attitude and NO REFUND!!

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way, but we do need to clarify a few important points.
As confirmed in our email correspondence, the order you initially placed was processed exactly as submitted. Shortly after, a second order was placed separately in a different name. These are treated as two individual orders.
Number plates are classed as personalised goods and, once an order is placed and production has begun, they are exempt from cancellation and refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. This applies regardless of how soon after ordering contact is made.
We did respond to your queries and explained this clearly. While we understand the situation was frustrating, the policy is in place for all customers and applied consistently.

Avoid if you really need “quick plates”…
Avoid if you really need “quick plates” like I did for an MOT booking.
If you trawl the T&Cs you will see that you need to upload documentation.
This they use to offer the smallest of refunds. I assume this is part of their business model.
Wrote off the money and went elsewhere

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way, but we do need to clarify a few points.
The requirement to provide documentation isn’t something hidden in our terms—it’s a long-standing legal requirement set by the DVLA and has been in place for over 20 years for all number plate suppliers. We make this clear throughout the ordering process and in our communications.
We can only proceed with despatch once valid documents are uploaded, as required by law. This isn’t part of any “business model”—it’s simply compliance that every registered supplier must follow.
In terms of refunds, as plates are personalised items, they are exempt under the Consumer Contracts Regulations once production has begun. This is standard across the industry.
We do aim to dispatch plates quickly once documents are received and approved, but without them, we’re legally unable to proceed.

Advertising delivery in one day, but for nearly £15.
Let you pay for order first, then tell you they need a document for vehicle and your ID. If you cancel they will rob you for £6.. Folks stay away. Modern days of robbery, scamming company. Absolutely disgraceful

As a DVLA-registered number plate supplier, we are legally required to verify proof of entitlement to the registration and proof of identity before any number plates can be released or dispatched. This is a mandatory legal requirement that applies to all compliant suppliers in the UK. Plates produced without these checks would not be road legal.
The delivery times advertised apply once the required documents have been received and approved, as explained during the ordering process and in the information provided after purchase.
Where an order is cancelled after processing has begun, a small administrative charge may apply to cover transaction and handling costs already incurred. This is outlined within our terms and conditions.
We always aim to be transparent and compliant with DVLA regulations, and we’re sorry if the process was frustrating. Quick and efficient - has a wide selection of number plate sizes - I needed a plate for a Japanese Import - few other places had them. Uploading the documents was straightforward from my mobile phone.

Damaged plates and no customer service
I ordered front and rear plates from Quick-plates. The order was received damaged through poor packaging and the front plate was unusable.
- I notified the seller immediately of the issues via email, including pictures of the packaging and plates. Note that the seller has no phone number to contact them on.
- I had no response after several days so I used the 'contact us' facility on the sellers website (no attachments are allowed, hence the email beforehand), however again no response after a further week.
Mistakes can happen with delivery, I get it, but it's the after sales service that gives assurance to future buyers.
As you can see, this provider obviously doesn't care about that, so please beware and use care when ordering from them and weigh up alternatives.
12/02/2026 - Further to your reply, I reissued the email to you, and to reiterate I am using both the right email address and your web contact form, so I believe the issues lie at your side. There's nothing in my junk/spam or filters, I've worked in IT for many decades so know how to use email.
If you see and action the email, great and I'll update the review, but I'm not chasing again.

We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy, however we do need to clarify a few points. We have no record of any emails from you that have not been replied to, and all customer enquiries received into our system are responded to. We would strongly recommend checking your junk/spam folder, as replies can occasionally be filtered there by email providers.
We do provide clear contact methods via email and our website contact form, both of which are actively monitored. If an email includes attachments, our replies are still sent in the usual way, even if attachments cannot be added via the contact form itself.
If you are able to re-send your message (or confirm the email address used), we will of course review the matter promptly and resolve any genuine issue with the order. We always take after-sales service seriously and are happy to put things right when we’re made aware.

Extremely Frustrating Experience Due to Unclear Process and Inflexible System
I placed an order for personalised number plates with this company, fully expecting a straightforward process. However, I encountered significant issues when trying to submit the required documentation. The upload system they insist on using would not work for me, despite multiple attempts across different devices, browsers, and networks.
At no point during checkout, in the order confirmation, or in their terms and conditions was it clearly stated that:
• All documentation had to be uploaded exclusively through their platform,
• No alternative method (such as secure email) would be accepted, or
• Any access issue could result in indefinite delay with no refund option.
Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the problem and my willingness to provide the documents immediately, their customer service maintained that the problem was entirely my responsibility. They refused to offer any practical alternative, even though a secure method could reasonably have been arranged.
Ultimately, their “final position” left me unable to complete my order and without any possibility of a refund. The process was opaque, inflexible, and unreasonably burdensome. I would not have proceeded with my order had the requirements and limitations been made clear from the start.
I hope this review helps other customers understand the risks of ordering with this company.

As a DVLA-registered number plate supplier, we are legally required to obtain customer documentation before plates can be released. For security, data-protection, and audit reasons, this information must be submitted via our secure upload facility and cannot be accepted by email or alternative methods.
The upload system is functioning as intended and is used successfully by a large number of customers every day. On the day in question alone, we received and processed over 200 document uploads without issue. Unfortunately, where access difficulties arise due to local device, software, or network settings, we are limited in the assistance we can provide, as these factors sit outside our control.
We appreciate that this was frustrating, and we did make reasonable efforts to assist by re-checking the system and suggesting standard troubleshooting steps. However, we are unable to bypass our compliance processes or offer alternative submission routes for individual cases.
We regret that this matter could not be resolved to your satisfaction, but we thank you for sharing your feedback, which we will continue to take into account when reviewing our customer communications.

Wanted the original supplier name on the plates as we have had done before. They put their plate supply details to one corner.
Ordered standard plates and they sent lipped plates that don't fit.
This is not clear in the ordering. In contacting them they are defencive.
Steer clear and order from other sites.

All UK-manufactured number plates are LEGALLY required to display the supplying manufacturer’s name and postcode. We are not permitted to remove this information or replace it with another supplier’s details, regardless of previous experiences elsewhere. We have advised you of this on our replies to you.
Regarding the plate style, the plates supplied were lipped plates, exactly as shown during the ordering process. This is clearly indicated on the product page and in the on-screen preview before checkout, which visually displays the lip. The order placed was not for flat plates. Again, we have even sent you pictures from our website which shows you this during the order process.
We appreciate that not all vehicles accommodate lipped plates, but as the item supplied matches the order placed and complies fully with UK regulations, this would not be considered a manufacturing error.
We always aim to respond professionally and factually, particularly where legal compliance is involved. Our intention is to ensure customers receive plates that are both correct and lawful.

Paid in good faith and sent over documents… every time I send them over the system doesn’t accept them. Various different attempts made and same result ! Couldn’t get a refund as they had apparently already made them ??? Yet I couldn’t get past the identification part ??? Ended up taking the paperwork to Halfords and got the plates done in 1 hour … They can keep my£30 ! Just don’t let them rip you off .

We’re sorry you were unhappy with your experience, but we do need to clarify a few important points for accuracy and fairness.
The ID uploaded was for a different person to the one named on the order, despite our system clearly stating whose ID is required. In addition, the EV948 document provided was out of date and uploaded as a screenshot, which we are not legally permitted to accept. When advised of this, we explained that the upload clearly showed mobile phone indicators (time, signal and battery level), confirming it was a screenshot rather than an original document.
As a DVLA-registered supplier, we are strictly governed by DVLA regulations and can only accept specific, valid documents — the same rules followed by Halfords and all other compliant suppliers. These checks are mandatory and not something we can override.
Regarding your refund comment: once number plates are manufactured, they are classed as a custom product and cannot be refunded, even if later documentation issues prevent completion. This is clearly outlined during the ordering process.
We absolutely do not “rip people off” — we simply follow the law and the same DVLA rules applied across the industry. We appreciate that you chose an alternative supplier in the end, but the requirements would have been identical.
