I used to think of Radio Times as a trusted source for TV listings, but unfortunately, their website is a frustrating, London-centric disappointment. If you live outside the capital, good luck trying to access your local TV guide without jumping through unnecessary hoops.
Rather than offering a simple, user-friendly experience, they force you to register and log in just to see listings for regions outside London - something that should be a basic feature, not a privilege. It's baffling why they make it so difficult for non-London viewers to access information freely available elsewhere.
A national TV guide should serve the whole UK equally, not treat non-London users as an afterthought. Unless they rethink this outdated and exclusionary approach, I’d suggest looking elsewhere for your TV listings.
Website unreadable due to advertising.
Complete waste of time. No more traffic for your dumb ads from me.
My subscription cost is about to rise from £62 for six months to £128 for six months. For new customers £10 for 10 issues or £60 gift subscription for six months. This is immoral, and should be illegal. Companies should not be allowed to overcharge loyal customers like this.
Website is a pile of steaming excrement. Unreadable. Ads block summaries. Another utterly declined media brand.
Double Xmas issue in shops Tuesday 10 December. Not arrived in Thursdays post. Will have to wait until Friday to report as missing. Who’s at fault, distributors or Royal Mail? Luckily in this case, programs don’t start until 21 December giving myself and other subscribers time to try and sort it out.
My subscription increased from £52 per 6 months to £128. Needless to say I cancelled it and then guess what? I bought a new subscription for £52 with the extra benefit of the first 10 copies for just £10.
This is just ripping off un observant customers and I resent it very much.
The Radio Times needs to demand a postage refund from the Post Office as 99% of my copies have never arrived before Monday the following week!! I have only had ONE issue actually arrive on-time in the past 4 months.
To cap it all, today, the PO managed to surpass their lready appalling delivery record by not bothering to meet their normal 3 days delayed Monday delivery!
So, if it finally turns up tomorrow (Tuesday), over 50% of the content will be obsolete.
What a farce. My advice, don't bother subscribing, you're only lining the Post Offices pockets and rewarding extermly poor service. Even complaing to RT won't stop late deliveries happening again and again and that will include any replacement copies RT send out to you!
This magazine has become very expensive lately. I have been getting on subscription which reduces the price a bit, but that is no good if the deliveries are late. Several times my magazine never arrived or was delivered very late. I am cancelling my subscription and ordering a Saturday paper. That is much cheaper and very much more reliable.
Suddenly without notice we discover our direct debit for our subscription to The Radio Times had risen 3 times what we had been paying. We immediately contacted them. They claimed they had sent us notification, but there was no proof of that anywhere in our mailboxes, or - in theirs. They promised they'd resend that notification, but that also never happened. So, we cancelled our subscription and asked for a refund, which did eventually happen, approximately two weeks later.
With other subscriptions there have always been attractive benefits, a nice discount with no additional postage or handling charges. After all, the publisher has a customer for a guaranteed length of time, the benefits of subscription going both ways. What The Radio Times offered us with this huge and unexpected rise was a savings of only a few pennies per issue, £4.95 being the current off the shelf per issue price. We have valued and enjoyed our weekly copy of The Radio Times for decades, but we won't be re-subscribing at these prices. Our disappointment wasn't just because of this huge rise in the price, their poor customer service, the attitude given to us by their representative over the phone, this also was a let down...
Sad to have written off The Radio TImes, from now on we'll be looking elsewhere for news of what's happening on TV and the Radio.
Why does my copy of the England edition no longer carry details of London Live programmes ?? It used to.
Radio Times Magazine Copy purchased from M & S Food store Ulverston Friday 20 September 2024.
Incorrect stapled Pages 1 to 14 with 30mm cut off edge and attached pages 143 to 154 offset 30mm from rear cover.
Having paid £4.50 I am not impressed as unable to read various parts of articles/post bag letters
My experience gas not been that great this week, I have been watching your coverage if the Olympic games 2924 which I have enjoyed picking what I wanted to watch.BUT when I came to watch some Golf it is being broadcast on sunday 4th Aug 2024 then nothing.Where can u watch the golf please.
After subscribing for about 11 years, we decided that the cost was way too much. I rang on 23rd to cancel & stated the reason as cost, all agreed without any problems. I asked if I needed to cancel the DD at my bank & was told that it wasn’t necessary as they would sort it all for me. Today, 1st August I see they have taken £85 DD. I rang to ask for a refund & this was agreed. Only trouble is, it will take a fortnight before it’s back in our account. I complained & insisted they refund immediately, they refused. I asked if I went overdrawn because of this if they would pay my bank charges, no they would not. This is appalling service. I cancel because I can’t afford the service, they take £85 from me without authorisation & make me wait 2 weeks to get it back.

Just cancelled my subscription due to huge price increase of 225%.
Had this subscription for 2 years and queried the rise in cost before cancelling, this was met with complete indifference

No delivery of this week's copiy of Radio Times. I tried to complete online form, but that is not working. When I telephoned, the answering machine gave a message for 3 weeks ago, saying "closed for Bank Holiday". Poor, deteriorating service.

Anyone knows there’s nothing on any BBC channel worth watching anymore, thus rendering the existence of this overpriced magazine redundant. This begs the question, who still buys this, and why ? Their weekly output hadn’t changed in decades, the same dreary anodyne nonsense continues from one year to the next. Presumably their output is influenced by the ex Tories and assorted right wing placemen on the board of governors. The BBC is badly in need of change before it becomes completely irrelevant.

this is a continuation of my review titled absolute rubbish! I tried to cancel my subscription on line having been told it was definately sent and they checked all my details including my password. Guess what again on line I was told my password was incorrect! I telephoned again and they confirmed it was correct. So I have cancelled my subscription by telephone and insisted they confirmed by email which they did. Let us wait and see if they do and send me a promised rebate as agreed but I doubt it!

Truly terrible service. There seems to be no link between the price and the number of copies received. The payment dates keep changing. No-one replies to emails. I had 2 direct debits taken, supposedly for 6 months, in the same week. This reflects badly on the Radio Times, can they not change the subscriptions management company.
Update after the reply: the situation was resolved.

Radio Times Shop deliveries delayed for weeks, continually fobbed off by customer services, daily promises of the product being "delivered by tomorrow".
Claims of supplier issues with no updates passed on to customers, leaving them clueless and in the dark.

Respuesta de RADIO TIMES
Awful. So far, impossible to cancel subscription, online form refuses to accept my subscriber number, utter lack of any response from their subscription service provider after 6 emails.
