Absolutely scam

Absolutely scam. Avoid at all costs went on 15th August birmingham event, 2 and half hours wait for the monster truck ride, no monster truck flips due to mechanical issues, over priced funfair, food, as for the bike and quad show the main bike rider was sexist wasn't a show for kids with what was being said not alot of tricks, wrestling was poor a mental barrier and gym matts on the floor not wrestling ring like the advertisement shown in the video. questioned about the fire risk being used for the bike show due to the dry ground was told he is trained to handle the fire that's not the point when people have had a government warning the night before about the fires. No response from the even people, comments get deleted on Facebook when mention what was being paid for and about the poor event. Poor security only 5 guards one was rude on the way out due to very poor signs for exit.
Don't waste yours and family time you don't get what you pay for and don't waste your money

Awful experience

Awful experience

Massively overpriced tickets for a fun fair
No monster trucks, 2+ hour wait to ride on a monster truck for compensation
and 50p off the rides which were all £6+ for a minute or so. The bike stunt shows were awful, boring and microphones kept cutting out so you couldn’t hear the commentary. £90+ for a family ticket plus £100 spent on rides and food to make our children happy as they didn’t get to see the one and only thing we went for. No sign of any refund or partial. Complete scam. Don’t waste your money.

Dont bother!

Over-priced, waste of time.

Attended event in Birmingham. SHAMBLES!!
Traveled 45 minutes by car to get there. After scanning tickets to get in we were then told was no Monster Truck stunts due to mechanical issue.
*Was offered 50p off fair ground rides which was not honoured by majority of operators. Rides costed £5 per person.
*Also offered a free ride on the Slingshot Monster truck (normally £10 a go for 1 minute) after waiting over 2 hours in a queue, we got to the front to be told truck overheated and needed at least another hour to cool down.
*The bike "stunts" were not extreme - Ive seen my son do bigger jumps in the local skate park. Were repetitive, drawn out & a lot of talking which couldnt be heard anyway.
*Long lines for a picture with mascots or they wasnt out long enough.
*Tribute act also wasnt as advertised on the poster.

Luckily took own packed lunch as food also way over priced.

Absolute shambles x

At least I heard about the cancellation of the monster truck part (of the monster truck event) before the day! Saved myself a few pennies there considering multiple reports of fair rides costing £5-6 a go ... feel like that says it all.

Anyway, I requested a refund the morning of the show. Still not heard back. Many others also not heard back - but they’ve posted on Facebook asking for sponsors! Seriously worried they’ve not got the money to refund everyone …

Oh, and there’s a BBC News article from July 2025 (last year) literally highlighting how people feel ripped off by this exact event. Wish I’d seen that beforehand!

Definitely stay away. At best it’s overpriced. In reality for most it’s complete false advertisement.

False advertising, total rip off!!!

Monster trucks motorfest event had NO monster trucks - complete false advertising. It should be dirt bikes motorfest! Absolute waste of time, money and fuel. We paid £75 to enter a fairground which we then had to pay extra for the rides. No notice or announcement that there was no monster trucks. No response to complaint and refund request.

Main event was cancelled with no refund

Unfortunately, we arrived on Sunday 16th at the Birmingham Event to find out there was no monster trucks due to engine issues. Apparently, this had been the case all weekend, but no prior communication when out to confirm this and so no one was aware until attending.

I spoke to the staff about it on site and they were friendly enough. They advised to contact the company for a refund due to the inconvenience via Facebook messenger, so we have done that but our message has been left on read with no response.

Now if the company were honest about this and offered refunds from the start, or at least responded after reading our message, I wouldn't have to leave this review. However, to do this to your customers is wrong. It makes it feel like you're hoping to get away with not refunding people which, if true, is very unfair.

In the eyes of the law, it is a breach of contract to not deliver goods or services as advertised. Since a monster truck show was the main advertised attraction, but this was not delivered, myself and all others impacted are entitled to a full refund.

Please contact us back to process this, as we'd rather avoid having to make claims and report to trading standards. Thank you.

P.s. I left a second star due to the staff being nice and my kids enjoying the day regardless, otherwise it'd be a 1.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam! Paid over £56 for a family of four. Day before we were due to go they put out a post to say the monster truck wouldn’t be operating, which is crazy as it was advertised as a monster truck show. They offered a refund I messaged through three different types and not heard a reply from them. Had to do a dispute through the bank. After reading other reviews it’s obvious this is a common thing with them. Please avoid booking with this company!

Utter shambles, no monster trucks.

This is a traveling carnival with dodgy fairground rides and ripoff food vendors, that happens to have a van full of Motocross bikes that wheelie around a field and a monster truck taxi which (when it isn't broken) takes people on a 30-second lap of another field after they've queued for two hours. There are no actual monster trucks performing any displays; apparently they own one, but given we were the third event in a row where the truck wasn't there (with no communication beforehand) I feel safe in assuming that they've just realised it's cheaper to not bring it and pretend it's broken every time. This is a scam.

Newcastle show

Went to the Newcastle show beginning of August, no monster trucks at a 'monster truck fest'? Make it make sense! They'd made a promise to everyone itd be back for future weekends, 3 weeks later and there is still no monster truck at the shows. Even when in operation, its only 1 monster truck, the rest is an overpriced funfair, and overhyped stunt bikes. A couple telling rude jokes infront of children and families, the bloke going on about how his wife enjoys the vibrations from her bike etc 🤮 £10 per person for a ride? One big joke! One very very expensive day out. Where is the monster truck fest that is constantly advertised!! Because one truck is not it even when in action!

This company needs investigating

This company needs investigating. They are ripping people off, on a large scale. How can they get away with this! Having to contact my bank for a refund as my messages are being ignore. Bought early bird tickets. They’ve had my money for months. Just in absolute shock they can do this. They have now blocked me from contacting them. I have been advising people to not buy their tickets as they are still putting Facebook posts out to sell new shows! This company needs shutting down!

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money! Attending Birmingham's show on Saturday, to be told on the gate there was no monster truck show as it was broken. Were lied to saying we would have been emailed but no emails received by anyone. They were offering free rides on a monster truck that normally costs £10 a ride but the queue was over 2 hours long and in the hot sun with a special needs child that wasn’t possible. Rides were mostly £5 each rider which is very expensive and staff were rude. Food wasn’t the best either. Entertainment was poor, the one singer we saw wasn’t wearing much!!! Not really family friendly and other characters walking around in tired costumes. The bikes and quads were boring, no real tricks have seen better elsewhere. Whoever was on the microphone kept making sexual comments about the female bike rider which thankfully our child was too young to understand but was very uncomfortable and degrading to the poor women. If we had been told before we made the hour journey we would not of attended but to be told at the gate with an excited child we couldn’t exactly say no we are going home. Have messaged the company but yet to hear back, they need to take the hit and refund people as no one got the event that was advertised.

Do not buy from this company

Went to attend the Monster truck event in Birmingham. Was an absolute joke of an event. We were told on arrival that the main event (monster truck show) was cancelled. Went in for 5 minutes found out the fair rides were £5 per person. Tried to get a refund and told that wasn't possible as we have had the tickets scanned but were not told this when we went through. Tried to raise a complaint through social media and had no response. Do not buy tickets for events put on by this company.

Complete waste of money. Cynical customer service boarding on being a scam. Email sent minutes before show was set to start cancelling main attraction. Huge queue for "free ride", minimal discount (50p) from overpriced fair rides which Staff did not apply. Staff no when asked for refund. AVOID.

Imagine knowing you’re going to be upsetting kids

What a terrible event. At around 3pm I asked a security guard if we were actually going to be seeing any monster trucks that day, for him to tell me ‘the company had a technical issue and there wouldn’t be any’ only 1 monster truck that you could ride for ‘free’ instead of £10 per person. He said we should have got a email, which we hadn’t, so that’s great. There were so many upset children around, crying and their parents having to take them home upset and disappointed. Imagine knowing you’re advertising an event, mainly aimed at kids, and not providing what they’re looking forward to seeing. Looking at the reviews on trust pilot this happens suspiciously regularly. Other people stating there is always only one monster truck. So false advertising, I wonder if trading standards will agree? £75 to enter a fair ground, where the prices were unbelievably high. Not one sign anywhere to inform that there were no monster trucks shows, despite them
Knowing the day before that they had ‘technical issues’ pretty poor and terribly organised. It wouldn’t have been particularly hard to have made some signs to inform everyone, but thinking of it, they wouldn’t be able to scam
People that way. The shows were really boring, the children I was with (9,5,3,2) were not interested in the slightest. Motorbikes doing wheelies and quad bikes riding around. They see that on main roads driving around ‘certain areas’ and even if it was slightly interesting for them, it was repeated around 6 times in the day.
The website says no outdoor food allowed and bags would be searched, I didn’t take a picnic or snacks for this reason. Nothing of ours was searched, despite there being no queue to enter. This is more of a concern with safety for me, as we took in a trolly, with chairs etc and it wasn’t even looked at, worrying that anyone could have taken anything in there, but also very frustrating as we had to buy food in there and it was all just stupidly overpriced. Will definitely be contacting trading standards, as it was a shambles all round. No safety, false advertising and a fire was started on the dried out field in an area not far wildfires that recently destroyed nearly 40 homes. Don’t think they have a clue what they’re doing sadly.

Scam.

Oh dear.
I had booked this event for my little family months in advance. We were so excited to share the experience of a monster truck event! We were especially looking forward to going to see the slingshot in action!

We had travelled from Coventry, so left early to get to the event for when it first started.

When we got there, the queue was already a mile long. However once they had started to let people in, it did go down quite quickly.

Once we were in, we found that the slingshot was actually broken and wouldn’t be doing any shows.

Very disappointing as that was the only reason we were really going.
There was nothing else for us to do. We heard they were giving away free rides on the monster truck, but with a toddler, for us, this wasn’t possible.

We put our son on a few fair ground rides, again, very limited due to his age, and then we left.

After leaving an email pinged up.

The RA Monster Truck Event team had sent an email to everybody at 9:53am on the day of the event that was set to start at 10:00am.
Informing everybody that the slingshot was broken down and that all fairground rides would be giving 50p discount (which we didn’t get and were unaware of due to the fact we hadn’t seen the email).
We also didn’t realise until this email, that, that was the actual reason the monster truck ride was free!

In the email it said if we wish to get a refund, we should not enter the park and request a refund.

This is very clever. Sending an email 7 MINUTES before the event is set to start, knowing that the grounds have no signal for internet. Knowing that a lot of people will already be there ready to get in. 7 minutes?! Really?! We came from Coventry and left just before 9am!

I’m absolutely furious. What a shambles.

We attending the event at Birmingham…

We attending the event at Birmingham today to find the main attraction wasn’t actually there. So we essentially attended a monster truck show withhhhh, that’s it…no monster truck! I paid for a family ticket and an additional ticket so my niece could attend. In total this was £110. £110 to attend a site with a funfair on! Each ride was £5 until I was informed by another attendee that they were £4.50 now, you know, as the monster truck wasn’t there. staff didn’t tell us and the people manning the rides didn’t either. We had to physically say “aren’t these £4.50?” not like 50p off helped ease the blow on the bank. The kids didn’t want to watch the motorbikes for more than 10 minutes and then they just kept doing shows throughout the time we where there which was a repeat of the show they performed half hour prior so, back to the rides we went 🫣 in total we spent £205 to go to a monster truck event that had no monster truck show. Oh and this ridiculous offer of a free ride on the monster truck ride they had there, is NOT compensation. The queues where ridiculous, it kept over heating and I wasn’t waiting with 3 young children and an 11 week old baby in a 2 hour long queue. None of the staff advised the main event wasn’t on when we had our tickets scanned either so now we can’t request a refund? Luckily we saved some money by packing a picnic. Thank the Lord I did that otherwise we’d have spent around £300 today. just for context, recently I was looking at a day at Disney land Paris for our holiday coming up and get this….. a day for 2 adults 1 child and a baby at Disney land Paris on the 20th of Jan would set me back £140.39!!! Yeah, I just had my knickers well and truly pulled down by this company. They should’ve rescheduled or offered us a refund! Diabolical to say the least! FML.

FYI they’re apparently deleting negative comments off their social media pages. So, they’re not allowing people to actually see how frustrated their customers are. Ah well, I guess they’ll attend and have their pants pulled down too. Word of mouth is also a thing and so is trust pilot so here’s to getting this sh*t show closed down! Absolute robbery!
