This review has been amended after receiving a threat of legal proceedings from Red squirrel.

We rented with red squirrel, which was okay. Not great, just okay. Minimal contact. We were then informed of the landlords intention to sell the property, in no way is this red squirrels fault, it happens.

The preceeding events is why my review is what it is. Unprofessional, rude, condescending, disrespectful: these are just a few words I can use to describe this company but I don't want to go on. We now own the house that we were renting and are thrilled that we no longer have to interact with Red squirrel. I would advise anyone, if possible, to avoid this company as I will be doing going forward. I understand this may difficult due to the way the market is, particularly the rental sector. My advice if you do have to deal with them is get everything on writing to cover yourselves. Be warned.

Rented a property through them for 2+ year. It didn't matter that I had been a good tenant in the property for 5 years before they took over the management. As soon as they were involved I had inspectations every 3 months which I found to be quite intrusive. Usually I'm used to someone popping in, having a look around and a bit of a chat and then leaving. This felt like every little aspect of the property was being scrutinized and exaimed... there was one girl who was very nice but everyone else has been a little odd (and that's coming from an odd person). They were very unhelpful as a tenant, focused much more on making money then any care or consideration for their tenants in their care. Personally I wouldn't use them again, and I've heard a lot of poor reviews from other people about them.

Very strange an poor experience when contacting this company. They refused to arrange a viewing until I had completed a detailed application process which included sensitive personal data. They then stated that they would review the application before deciding whether to allow a viewing of the property we were interested in. This is highly unusual and alarm bells were ringing. A number of the staff were poor to deal with, dismissive of valid concerns and appeared unmotivated. Hands down the poorest experience of an estate agent I have endured.
