A deeply upsetting experience, from start to finish from a very unscrupulous individual.
You'd not think it possible when you first speak with Bob Burrows at Resto-Haus as he seems such a pleasant individual, but he behaved in an appalling, unethical, and fraudulent manner with both myself and the seller of a VW Samba bus I recently bought through him. The terrible experience went on for a total of 3 months. He largely ignored all methods of contact as soon as I'd paid for the bus for weeks on end. When he did finally respond, he proceeded to lie about everything regarding what was happening. The situation only finally got (partially!) resolved on Friday 12th June after a threat of immediate legal action and police involvement by myself spurred him into delivering the vehicle. Even then, he attempted to continue his "con" by switching it to the seller and withholding my payment from him that he'd had for over 2 months at that point. I would have effectively been left receiving stolen goods if the situation hadn't been resolved by swift action taken by the seller & myself to get him to make payment, as agreed, on the day. My original payment no longer available, having been used by Burrows for his own ends. (Presumably to help fund his recently expanded business?) After all that, he had even managed to damage the very rare, concours condition bus, due to his incompetent handling during delivery! Finally... As if all that wasn't already enough, I discover he'd even lied about applying to register it for me, (first UK registration after restoration) leaving me to do it all myself from scratch!! It was an utterly appalling experience throughout. My advice is to avoid at all costs as a buyer or seller.
