A "free" service that includes nothing free

The resume builder was ok, but only had 12 very limited templates. The site was also slow. The biggest deal breaker was the pop-up asking for credit card details and a mandatory sign-up when you hit download. This after they advertise it as a free service. I regret wasting my time on it.

Resume Rabbit is a scam

Resume Rabbit is a scam. I paid $60 for the service, then never heard anything. A week later, I tried to sign into my account and it did not exist. I used the "reset password" link, successfully reset the password, still could not access account.

Lost $53 USD

No feedback after resume was 'posted' to 20, not 50 platforms. Been trying to get a refund but no one from customer service has gotten back to me. Don't recommend.

Scam!

I paid 59.95 for the resume service. They processed payment immediately and started sending me other emails but never sent me a login ID or password.
I emailed them 5 times to 3 different emails and received no response. After 24 hours, I called the customer service number on the site that had a recorded message, no voicemail, no person and said to email support at topresume.com.
I finally called my credit card company to dispute the transaction.

You will need patience

Edit 2: I received an email from Resume Rabbit with my login credentials. They didn't work when I tried to login and I emailed them and told them. I tried it again and it worked. It appears they did actually post my resume to a bunch of job boards.

So I guess in the end they did what they said they would do, but wow was this rough from a user experience standpoint.

Edit: Ok I got an email today from someone about a job that was apparently associated with my resume that these people posted on some job sites but the wording of the email would lead me to believe that it's most certainly fake. The job description is nothing to do with anything on my resume and they reference my resume being posted on multiple sites which a recruiter would never do and is an obvious ploy to make it apparent that they are referencing this fake resume service. They also "re-sent" (they never sent the first one and this kind of behavior literally makes me gag) the email with my login credentials.

Overall still pretty shady for a business to behave this way and I'm really pretty annoyed that I have to come back here and update this review.

Original:
They literally didn't do anything. I paid $59.95 for their service and as far as I know they did literally nothing. I didn't get an email with any login credentials to their site, and I emailed their support team with absolutely no response.

Might as well have just put $60 in a metal bucket and doused it in lighter fluid and set it on fire. Literally just an account collecting money as far as I know. How is this allowed to operate as a "business"?

These guys are dishonest thieves.

My experience seems to be typical. The resume didn't post due to an error. The charge went through, and customer service just gave me a link to repeat the process without issuing a refund—and didn't even acknowledge that I had asked for one as a remedy. I have contacted the bank to reverse the charge.

Service is wildly inaccurate and professionally damaging…

Your service is wildly inaccurate and is creating erroneous accounts entirely unrelated to my profession and in foreign languages for no reason. If you do not close these accounts and provide evidence you have done so I will contact managers at the platforms you automate to, show them my evidence, and get you kicked off them and investigated for fraud. Feel free to test my resolve in the face of your fraudulent activity.

Didn't post & poor cust. service. waste of $

After a few days (not hours) they posted to some of the sites I requested (not the important ones). After emailing support every other day, they sent my issue to programming. This service was supposed to help me get a job, not make the process more frustrating.

Terrible Product and Service

Would give zero stars. Completely sub-par, shoddy service. NONE of the profiles they created for me were even close to correct. ONE WAS FOR AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PERSON. I am going to have to delete all of them, and start again on my own. They had better send me a refund. Zero support. Run, don't walk away.

Dont Bother

The only people who contact me are irrelevant and have nothing to do with my career or resume experience. Don't waste your time or money.

I lost my job in August of 2020

I lost my job in August of 2020, due to Covid. I left the Army in 2005 and had one job. I had never written a resume before. I used a company called Top Resume on linked in to help me write it. (Waste of time, figure out how to do it yourself.) Anyhow, they signed me up with Resume Rabbit.
Here's the cool part, they blast it out to 50 job recruiting website at one time. But, they only do it one time. So if you want to update your resume and change the format.. well, your hosed. You have to go to each jobsite now individually to update it. But wait, there's a catch. You can't do that because you don't have the ResumeRabbit login for your profile for each site. It's controlled by them. They want to control you, so you have to read the email's from the jobs boards or spam through their website portal.
You can only receive a daily notification of how many emails you have in your personal account, but you must access their website. (90% of my notifications were spam or jobs which didn't even fit my skill set. Total waste.) This also means it's not portable, you can't use it from your phone except through the web if your traveling. Furthermore because you don't have your resume rabbit login for each job website. (It's controlled my RR corporate.) It means that you have to place your updated resume on their website (Which is not intuitive by the way, I had to contact help.)
This means your hosed. Each of the 50 websites are no longer going to receive your updated resume. Your only option is to now create a new login and upload your new resume to each job board website. (so RR is a waste of time) I never received one call, one opportunity or one recruiter contact from them. Don't do it. Don't use TopResume and Don't use ResumeRabbit. Here is the RR official response.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for contacting our support department.

We have already posted the information you provided to most if not all of the career sites on your requested distribution list. For each Career Site, we create an account for you and simultaneously submit the information you provided us.

Once we have posted your information to a Career Site, it's as if you had done it yourself. At that point, we have no way of logging into each Career Site account to edit or modify the information you originally provided us for your resume posting. The good news is we've created a tool that will help make the process of accessing your accounts to make changes as easy as possible.

The best way to edit your resume is to use your Posting Report within your dashboard. Here you'll find a list of all the sites you're posted on along with a "quick link" to help you easily log in to each site and edit your online profile and/or resume.

While it may take a little time to make the changes, most of our customers find it fairly easy now that their accounts have been created.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Best,

Brittany

Resume Rabbit scammed me out of $49

This company totally scammed me out of $49. I signed up for a job search site called Lensa - which was my first mistake. I have a solid resume with great experience as a corporate trainer, manager and leader and figured I would try another site besides Zip Recruiter - which I am very happy with and completely recommend!! As I signed up for Lensa i clicked on a button that, if I recall, said upload my resume. I clicked and a screen came up that said it costs $49 - I was hesitant but wanted to get my resume on an additional site. The screen that popped up had NO identification or explanation , that I recall so I was led to believe it was the next step to complete my profile and post my resume on Lensa. I got an email from resume rabbit confirming my payment and I was a bit confused as to why I was contacted by this site I had never heard of -so I contacted Lensa and was first told they were not associated with Resume Rabbit (RR) so I contacted RR and they said they were. I circled back with Lensa and they told me (all the communication was in email) that they were associated with RR. So, I called RR and they refused to refund my money...and honestly, with COVID and everything I just didnt feel like fighting and thought maybe it would be ok. By the way, I called them within 2 days or so of being scammed by them. Since I have received ridiculous texts from nuevco or some name like that stating 'X' company wants to hire you - which was bogus. If that was the case they would have simply called the number provided on my resume that RR say they allegedly send out to like 50 sites. THIS HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and they scammed me out of $49 during COVID when money is tight to begin with. Based on my experience I would NOT recommend this company and now I have to circle back with all the sites to cancel my association. What a huge hassle, and as stated, a COMPLETE WASTE OF MY MONEY!!! Shame on you RR! This was a complete bait and switch - from my perception.
