EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL
Extremely disappointed with their service. Came to do the works, then realised they put the wrong windows in and had to come again for a second time. We were charged BOTH times.
And the worst part? The second time, they made things worse than before because during the works, they removed the sash cords/spirals without authorisation, leaving the window unusable.
They then claimed the frames were too deteriorated and denied liability, despite the window working beforehand.
The outcome is a worse condition than before the works, with no accountability taken.

We are sorry that you are disappointed with our service. We must, however, insist on setting the record straight.
You originally placed an order with us to replace the kitchen window as well as other windows. We explained that the kitchen window could only be replaced if the worktop and sink were removed as they were blocking removal of the old window. External access was not possible because the window was three floors up.
When we came to do the survey, you told us that you no longer wanted to replace the kitchen window as you didn’t want to remove the worktop and sink.
Although our clear recommendation was that the window be replaced, we then agreed to try to get the original window working better for you so you could have more ventilation.
When taking the window apart, we found that the window was too rotten to do what we had specified. Unfortunately, we also broke a pane of glass.
Please note that we were unable to inspect the window properly prior to starting the work and therefore cannot be held responsible for its condition.
We arranged a second visit to repair the rot and re glaze the pane for you as best we could. We then refitted the window on January 21st.
Contrary to your review, you were not charged anything for the work we could not do. We sent you two credit notes – one to refund you the full cost of the work we originally specified, but were unable to complete, and a further credit note as a goodwill gesture. All of the above points were covered in correspondence supporting the credit notes.
We acted with decency and integrity, refunding you in full because we were unable to complete the work as specified.
Your Trustpilot Review is wholly misleading. We ask that you withdraw your review immediately.

Great quality window, friendly and professional service
After receiving various quotes we decided to go with the Sash Window Workshop, given their far superior customer service. The Workshop made and installed one large double glazed, acoustic laminate (8mm) sash window in our period property. Paul provided a wonderful service, and was available even after hours to answer questions. Jack did the installation for us and did a very good job. Both were very friendly and professional. We are very happy with the results, it is a solid window that provides both temperature and sound insulation. I would absolutely recommend the Sash Window Workshop.

My experience with The Sash Windows Workshop was very good from the very beginning. Paul came and gave us all the information about the windows, installation and was available throughout the process. I realised that the people working for the company where very proud of their product and that was evident when I went to visit and have a look around myself. Very happy with our new windows
The joinery, glazing, draught sealing and paint finish are all good quality, and the TSSW team designed them to be a faithful copy of the original windows. The operation of the sashes is smooth, and with spacious opening. TSWW personnel have been professionally efficient throughout and the fitter took care to protect our furniture and floors during installation.

Superb Quality and Professional Service — Highly Recommended!
Having had an expensive window fitted by another company last year — which was unfortunately poorly installed and of disappointing quality — this time I did thorough research and chose a company with an outstanding reputation and top-quality products. I honestly cannot praise them enough for their superb service, highly professional installation, and meticulous attention to detail. The windows themselves are exceptionally well-made — solid, beautifully finished, and fitted to perfection. These new windows feel premium in every way, and I’m already looking forward to (and hopefully saving up for) having the main front windows done one day.

From the very first visit and throughout the process this company's communication was excellent. In fact I have never had such a perfect experience. I was also exceedingly happy with the end result. My old window frames were very old and crooked but they managed to do a great job despite the challenging conditions. Having had many quotes, theirs was also very competitive.

The final product was outstanding. The windows look amazing, and have given a significant noise and temperature improvement. I'm very impressed with the period look but modern quality.
Installation was quick (one day, done by 2pm) and from measurement to installation is pretty good at around a month.

Excellent. They took a lot of care to get everything just right with the design and installation was painless. One of the things I liked was the fact that when the engineer wasn't sure about an aspect of the installation, he called in and someone was there to help him within the hour, to ensure it was right.

Excellent Experience
I had an excellent experience with the Sash Window Workshop recently. They manufactured four new sash windows and a new kitchen door for my house.
The high quality of the manufactured parts really stands out, and has transformed the rooms in which they were installed. Pricing was competitive and undercut another company that priced the job for me.
The door has an ERA multipoint lock (which I wasn't expecting) and, aside from looking much nicer, is vastly more secure than the door it replaced.
Installation took place on the agreed date, took exactly the number of days forecast and was commendably professional.

Sash windows…
We had our sash windows installed around 3 years ago and have been very happy. From the initial consultation, we felt that The Sash Window Workshop understood our needs and guided us well through the process. We have also been very impressed with the after service. Having an older property does mean walls can shift slightly and therefore alignment of window locks etc can need readjusting from time to time, especially with weather changes, and we recently had the need for such support and were very impressed with the work carried out, with minimal fuss and all under guarantee. Would highly recommend.

Super professional firm with great quality products
We had a number of windows replaced all over our house as well as our front door. From the first survey, we were thoroughly impressed by the professionalism of the Sash Window Workshop and the range of options they had available. They also installed over a period of 3 days, working extremely hard and also being very thoughtful with regards to mess and noise. The windows are fantastic quality and any post instalments issues have been dealt with effectively. We would definitely recommend!

Don't clean up
This company replaced the windows of a flat in my block on the 2nd floor. We live in the basement. I am sure they did a good job, but it is shoddy that they didn't come down and clean up all the crap that had fallen from the windows at the front an back of the property during the install, but rather left it for me to do when home from work! One star!!

Professionalism from beginning to end
From the initial quote through to installation, the Sash Window Workshop demonstrated extreme professionalism.
We received several quotes before selecting SWW. One of the key deciders in choosing SWW was Paul's enthusiasm and knowledge at the initial meeting. Paul spent time explaining the process, offering suggestions, responding to our changes and providing clear quotes. This was followed by precise measurements by Chris who also offered some practical additions for the replacement door.
Special shout out has to go to the team of installers lead by John and Shane. They respected the property laying sheets, helping to move furniture and cleaning up after work each day. The team worked extremely hard in the recent high temperatures, which is a credit to their professionalism.
We are really pleased with the finished installation and several neighbours have commented on how great they look!
