Received my 2023 SD card yesterday, installed it as per the very simple instructions and tested it out today, fantastic.
I have a 2017 Mazda 3 Sport and Mazda were quoting me £120 to update to the 2023 maps, a rip off considering it’s only a software update

No problems
Had to be carefull to specify the correct system for my car (a 2008 Volvo). Disc came prompltly by post. The instructions were clear and the installation seems to have gone correctly. Have not tried it out very extensively but it seems to be working just fine.

Good value and good comms
Bought VW satnav 2023 update for RNS850. After having some initial installation problems I emailed for help. I got immediate replies which helpfully guided me through. It was more user error than anything else. I have checked on new postcodes and roads in my area, and they are all there. I am still trying it out, but all seems fine. Thanks for your help as I am not very good with tech.

Bought a Navigation unit of Ebay which never worked and we get the blame for it not working. Some people think they are experts when they have no clue whatsever, and by the way it was you that made the threats not us. OVER 200 RNS510/810 UPDATES SUPPLIED AND WORKING THIS YEAR SO FAR - ALL EXCEPT 1 - YOUR EBAY WONDEBUY AND YOU BLAME US. :(

NO ITEM WAS EVER RETURNED - Once the Paypal process is started there is no direct communication - YOUR CHOICE - Paypal found in our favour as you failed to return goods. If you had followed our return procedure, i,m sure this situation would have been rectified. Regards Senitech.
NON GENUINE VW MAPS
Bought what I thought was a genuine VW Navigation SD card for my Touareg 2018 with a RNS850 system with a P0825 Firmware. The disks arrives reasonably quickly and the company is very quick to respond to emails to help you install the maps. In my case the maps did not install using the standard update feature and was advised to use the User defined option. This method forces the system to override the system data even though it does not want to. This led to a situation where I had a map installed that after 2 mins reported invalid maps. Senitech was unable to solve the problem and said that they had not experience this problem before. In the end after several week of trying to get the maps to work I resorted to booking the car in at the main dealer who informed me that the maps are not genuine maps and that you should not use the user defined mode to insert maps as it can seriously corrupt the system and could make it impossible to install genuine maps. The dealership had to have the car in twice to solve the problem that installing the Senitech maps had had on the system. Because I had forced the system to overwrite the information I had lost the original activation of the installed maps and had to pay over £200 to have the genuine maps activated to my car. In all attempting to install their maps set me back £550 for the main dealer to correct the system.
People purchasing these maps should be aware that they are not genuine and I would recommend that you do not use the User Defined method under any circumstances.
I gave 2 stars rating only because of the very good communication to try and help.
It will be interesting if the company will offer a refund for their non genuine maps. I will update this report if this happens.
After reading the response to my experience I should point out that 1) Age has nothing to do with the installation I am a competent IT specialist! 2) The installation was not stopped half way, it was run until the system stated that the maps had been installed.

The update this customer is refering to is a Three Part Update. The customer of mature age was not able or willing to follow the comprehensive installation instructions that were sent with the update. By the nature of the update it overwrites the data, thats what it does. It does not like to be turned off half way through it......To date 321 successful RNS850 updates - 1 failure ( Above.) All with GENUINE VW MAPS , exactly the same maps the dealer re-installed. In responce to the reply 1. An IT specialist who doesn,t know the difference between discs and sd cards & now you say the maps installed correctly - You just did not follow the simple instructions on how to Activate them.
