This company hides a subscription and bills your card without any clear consent.

It starts with a charge of £0.10 to upscale one video (which in my case failed) and then 24 later, they charged £49.90 as INTERCALARIS, claiming it was a recurring charge I agreed to.

I have screenshots of every step of the user journey and at no point does it claim there is a subscription.

The site is almost entirely AI generated copy and the support email seems to be agentic too.

I have reported them to Barclays.

I also contacted the company and after several back and forth email exchanges where they repeatedly tried to negotiate a 50% refund, they refunded the full amount when threatened with legal action.

Be very careful with this site. They lure you in with a "10p trial" offer and silently enroll you in a £50 recurring monthly subscription without clear consent or warning. They fail to provide explicit opt-in disclosures, send no pre-billing reminder notifications, and do not provide an easy, functional online cancellation route, violating standard Visa trial subscription rules. When you email their support team to dispute the charges, they go silent and ignore you.

If you have been targeted by them:
1. Don’t try arguing over email just a waste of time

2. Document your cancellation requests and emails.

3. Contact your bank immediately to file a visa chargeback under dispute condition 13.5

To the owners reading this: Ignoring refund requests won't save you money. Every Visa Chargeback filed against your merchant account triggers an automatic £15–£25 processing penalty fee on top of the full £50 refund, while permanently damaging your payment processing rating. Save yourselves the extra fees and refund customer payments upon request.

10p video conversion led to a £49.90 subscription charge

Be very careful with Sharpvideokit.

I paid 10p to enhance a four-second video. I did not knowingly agree to a £49.90 PRO subscription, yet within about 24 hours I was charged £49.90.

In my experience, it was not made clear that the 10p payment would automatically convert into a £49.90 subscription. Had I known, I would never have proceeded.

I contacted them immediately asking for a refund, but their response only said the trial had converted to PRO and told me how to cancel.

I am now disputing the charge with my bank.

Please check the terms very carefully before using this service.
