Do NOT recommend
I had Stephen out to do an inspection on my home I am selling. I made it clear I wanted a true and accurate report to share with buyers so they knew we were hiding nothing.
When Stephen arrived all was well. I showed him a bunch of new things we have done in the last 2 months (new furnace & A/c, new appliances etc), there was a cracked window which I showed him the receipt for that is already paid for, awaiting it coming in. I had recently changed the flapper in the toilet and it wasnt heavy enough which caused a double flush, I explained I was fixing it. He wrote down everything as if he discovered things and he recommended we upgrade tons of stuff (around 6K worth). We have spent 26K in "upgrades" that we have chosen. An inspectors job is to observe and report, not to tell me to upgrade anything. His report had many things wrong, the size of the house, how many stories it is, etc. He took copy righted photos off the internet as he forgot to take them and didnt bother to ask me to take a few for him. He said I should pay for a radon test, septic (which we had already done and he was made aware of), pay for an inspection for the furnace and a/c that is less than 6 weeks old, pay for storm doors, and the list goes on.
The bottom line is his report was so full of inaccurate information and copy righted photos, as well as his recommendations to upgrade this and that and telling me to hire inspectors for everything under the sun that it was unusable.
When I contacted him about the issues he did not offer to fix his report by just reporting the facts and nothing ad libbed and not telling me to spend thousands on nonsense. He didnt see it as an issue that he used copy righted photos either.
Ethics are not strong with this company, would NOT recommend using their services.
