This company bought my Mother's car via Motorway. I dealt with Paul who understood he was dealing with 90 year old upset at having to give up her car and driving.
He was polite and courteous and very understanding. No hassling about the agreed price. If everyone at this company has the same attitude I would recommend them.

SK closed down in 2019 so why is it still trading, don’t buy a car from this company

Me and my partner bought an Audi A1 from these guys yesterday for 2100 pounds. When we turned up to collect it the engine was already running and the key was innthe ignition, which i thought was strange.

It was only after we got home that we discovered that the car fob didnt work and wouldnt lock manually either so we coulsnt lock the car. This would explain why the car was running when we arrived there.

On the way home the passenger side wing mirror glass fell out and was only being held on by a think cable which meant the glass was banging against the wing and cuased about 40 or more pits in the paint.

Today I took the car to my nephew whom owns his own car garge and found a whole bunch of things wrong with the car.

No front suspension springs, 1 headlamp needs replacing both wing mirrors need replacing.

It's basically an unroadworthy deathtrap and shouldn't even be on the road never mind being sold by a dealer.

After raiaing these issues with the dealership they told us that a refund will not be given.

Now we are in the process of going to trading standards to take this matter further.

Avoid this company at all costs.

I saw a car on eBay asked about it seemed ok he said he would deliver it and to ensure delivery I would have to pay £200 deposit which I did in the mean time we did checks on the gov site the car had a recall which was ok but wasn’t advised to this so we looked on mot in the advert it stated 12 months mot but it only had 8 also the sills was corrosive and underneath the car wasn’t good so I questioned it and he said it’s a£2000 car not a new one and I was making it a big deal well I am sorry to some people £2000 is a lot of money to hand over for car that might not even last a month so i asked for my deposit back I got told they don’t refund deposits and I said but that deposit was to secure delivery you are not delivering it now so I want my money he said it was to secure the car that isn’t what he told me I have the text message they are a rip off company that sells dodgie cars with dodgie mots I am not letting it drop I want my money back I am just glad I didn’t go ahead and buy the car like a lot of people have and had nothing but trouble with it

Great service. Receptionist was so helpful, cheerful, felt confident dealing with SK. Explained how buying on line worked. Made process easy. Delivery driver really pleasant. Ensured I knew how everything worked and I was satisfied before purchasing.

Absolute joke and dishonesty! Clearly asked the lady for any hidden fee and she said no , we check and give u a quote only if u agree we go ahead if not come and collect your car. I went to pick up bc the work was absurd and had to pay a fee!

Dont go there! Absolutely no transparency or honesty to customers!

You view a car. A Mercedes. You get excited.
It’s high milage. But for the price it could be okay.
And SK Motor Group salesman Steve seems good too.

You’re not a mechanic and the car is a lot of money (for you at least).
So you arrange for an independent inspection.
It’s over £300 but he’s a Merc specialist. And it’s short notice.
But you want to be sure.
Salesman Steve understands.

You pay SK Motor Group a holding deposit. £200 while you wait for the inspection.
You’re new to this game. You want to do it right.
But you trust Salesman Steve. He seems reasonable.
And without trust, where would we be?

The engineer inspects. The engineer isn’t happy.
The biggest red flag: the engine oil.
It’s wrong. Very wrong. Wrong colour. Wrong consistency.
Do NOT buy this car.

You share his report, photos & video with a second engineer.
And he’s a high-performance car specialist.
He’s straight back: do NOT buy this car. It’s the oil. Way too viscous.
Existing engine damage is a real risk. Engine damage which isn’t remediable.

You talk to Salesman Steve.
You request the return of your deposit.
But Salesman Steve has disappeared.
Instead, the “Customer Relations Team” email you:

“As per our prior agreement, the £200 deposit was refundable only in the event that a mechanical issue was identified during inspection and could not be rectified by ourselves. Based on the reports you have shared, the concerns raised—such as congealed oil and oil viscosity—are observations related to the condition of the engine oil rather than vehicle mechanical faults. These do not indicate an actual failure or defect in the vehicle’s mechanical components but rather a routine maintenance matter and would not affect the overall vehicle functioning as intended. Engine oil condition can be addressed through a standard service, which is a part of regular vehicle upkeep rather than a mechanical failure requiring rectification.”

No ‘sorry’.
No ‘we understand that you don’t want to spend over £10k on a car that might already be damaged irreparably’
No ‘sorry that you spent over £300 to inspect our car that we “carefully hand select”’
No ‘here’s your £200 deposit back’.
No, none of that.

So you email again. You’re polite. You request your deposit back. After all, It’s your money.
You have the advice of not one but two engineers.
If this isn’t a mechanical issue, what is?

Instead, SK Motor Group Customer Relations Team email to say “we… now consider this matter closed.”

Draw your own conclusions dear reader.
I just wish I’d read a similar warning before I parted with my £200 deposit.
Trust? I know where I am without it.
Poorer by £hundreds.
Be warned.
