This is an additional comment as we had Smartshield follow up replacing the guttering and downpipes. Same great service and when we found we had a gutter leak following some heavy rain they came back to site within two hours of me ringing them and sorted the problem.

Had a roof clean and treatment today by the SmartShield team. Amazing job, house looks like it has a new roof.
Stuart gave me a very reasonable quote and has been so helpful throughout the process with my questions and queries.
He said he would make the roof look new and he really meant it.
The lads were polite and clean, ensuring no mess was left behind and they exceeded my expectations.
I would highly recommend both their service and price.

We commissioned smartshield to clean our roof then got them to come back and stain it.
Both procedures were effective and improved the appearance of our roof. However I would urge anyone thinking of using them to proceed with caution.
Despite assurances that they make good to any damage etc caused this isn’t the case. During cleaning of the roof our security lights got water in them which then kept on tripping our electrics, the guys were not careful to ensure they sprayed around them.
During the staining of our roof one of the tiles was knocked off by the guy walking on it. I have made repeated attempts to contact the office to have them come and replace the tile (as they promise in their sales pitch) Stuart has tried to say it wasn’t their fault but the tile came off during the staining process and was fine before. Each time I call he tells me the guys will be coming this week to replace the tile but I realise he is fobbing me off as they never show.
We are now having to pay an independent roofer to come and replace the tile at an additional cost to us, like with the security lights we had to replace, as we don’t want further possibly costly issues with the winter approaching and a roof tile missing.
I would urge potential customers to proceed with caution, you may be lucky and have no issues or like us experience hidden costs which the company are not willing to rectify despite being quick to take our money!

Danny and Mike worked incredibly hard from the minute they arrived . Roof is excellent and left everywhere clean and tidy . Would certainly recommend to anyone . Thank you .

From the moment I contacted smartshield and Stuart. To communication with Lisa and the work Patrick and Petr undertook the whole engagement was excellent. Turning up on time. Completed the work and tidying up. It was a messy job and they made it look easy. Even wire brushed the chimney top as I asked!

The roof looks tremendous and will certainly have them back to reapply anti fungal wash when it needs redoing.

We were really pleased from start to finish. Our neighbours were equally impressed and intend to have their roofs cleaned and coated too.
We cannot fault Daniel and Nick who worked very efficiently and cleaned up very well after they finished. Two thoroughly nice and courteous workers and a very professional firm.

Very pleased - the guys were extremely hardworking (in really bad weather) and did a great job. Was particularly impressed with how they tidied up at the end!

This is the second time I have used Lisa and Smartshield. The results are just unbelievable, one 1960s house one 300 year old cottage. I would not hesitate in recommending them efficient, friendly, thorough and do an amazing job! I would recommend them to anyone which is rare for me :)

The two guys from Smartshield turned up a little bit later than expected but they did not stop working from the minute they arrived. They did an incredible job of cleaning our roof. As expected they found a few broken tiles and broke a few in the process of cleaning. They replaced them all from our own spares.
The results of their work is amazing the house looks fantastic.
Need to sort out the garden furniture and some pots but we are really pleased with the results.
Fabulous value for money and two guys who were a pleasure to have doing the job.

A job well done

SmartShield recently cleaned my roof of all the moss which had accumulated over many years. It is a complete transformation and I'm very pleased with the job they did. Stuart was very helpful and will available to answer queries throughout the process. The guys arrived earlier than expected and did a great job. I was sent images of the job as soon as it was done and follow up calls to discuss things. A professional outfit.

When I get around to having the paving stones around the house cleaned I know who I will be calling.

Works are completed and I am very happy! The roof has been cleaned of moss treated and re painted in the space of 48 hours. They guys were prompt organised and swift. No fuss approach very welcome. Thank you

Roof wash went well after I had to remove all the moss and dirt what was dumped in the corner of the front lawn behind a bush we removed the Bush also all the mess.
but arranging the sealing (painting) was a big issue weather was a big point but after arround 5 or more appointments the first appointment was in June
3of them I have taken days of work or sat at home on a weekend waiting to get a message in the afternoon they won't make it was not good after phone calls and messages finally the guys came and done a good job it looks good but all the issues is not worth it really upsetting sometimes and after asking for a some discount after all inconvenience caused he said and wanted payment right away as he lost money aswell van broke down so did the coating mashine as he said!

Got in contact with Stuart from smartshield as my roof hadn’t been touched in nearly 50yrs. He was very polite and helpful quoted me a price and set a date I was sent an email to confirm my booking and a explanation on the work to be carried out, the lads arrived on time and were more than happy to explain in more detail what they going to do and assured me all mess would be cleaned up before they left, well the transformation of my roof was amazing looked like new again they replaced sum broken tiles repointed the parts that had come off and cleaned the mess which was a lot and wouldn’t leave till I was completely happy. Was worth every penny and will definitely be using Stuart in the future

Stuart assured me that his company would be the best for roof cleaning. Another company I had considered, he claimed were just glorified window cleaners, so I took his word and agreed a contract for Thursday 1st August. The men were supposed to arrive at 8.30am and expected to work till 4.30pm.

They arrived after 10am and did NOT put down any tarpaulin as it stated in the contract. Unfortunately my neighbour was out all day so I was unable to get him to close any windows nor move his car away from the adjoining fence.

The two chaps were very pleasant and worked hard with one doing the front in the morning and the other doing the back in the afternoon. A ridge tile broke and they put a cement patch but it does not look right viewed from the front of the property.

During the clear up they sprayed the whole property, roofs, doors and windows. Then went next door and cleaned the neighbours car and conservatory (twice because they were not happy the first time).

Then they asked me to verify all was good, but an upper floor side window had not been rinsed off so they got the sprayer out again and went round the side, then came back and asked me to sign everything off.

Then they demanded payment before leaving the property, then they left. The upstairs window had not been cleaned but they had rinsed off the window below it. When the rinse dried there were awful streaks and residue on all the windows and on the solar array. The flower bed along the front of the property was covered with moss that had not been cleared away.

I contacted Stuart and he had already had grief from my neighbour Tim. Apparently a skylight to an upstairs room was open and some moss and water had blown in over a duvet.

I had a moan to Stuart about the state of the windows and solar array and he said they were not a window cleaning company. Actually it is now obvious that my house and solar array had been rinsed with a anti-algicide and now needed a thorough clean.

Stuart promised to refund me £100 so I could have professional solar array and window cleaning done. That money hadn't arrived by the following Wednesday 7th August so I called Stuart again and he promised the refund on Friday 9th August. It is now Friday 16th August and the refund is not forthcoming.

I did have the solar array and windows of my house and my neighbours house professionally cleaned (to appease him) and now all looks good. A pity about the ridge tile and neighbour duvet though.

How to give credit to an already highly recommended company? Stuart, I give you total credit for an amazing bunch of guys, all their work ethic unbelievable! David and Chas who cleaned the roof worked timelessly and turned a filthy, moss infested,and grubby down tiles into a new build!! They also were so helpful with our choice of colours...we had changed our minds about 4 times!! Then a few days later when weather permitted the painting crew Danny and Nick came on site. Not only did these two lads work tirelessly, they complimented each other in the way they worked, obviously a brilliant team! They didn't just slap on the colours we had eventually chosen, but gave us the choice to decide if we would like the roof colour slightly darker (which we did) and then did their magic to make it a colour we really liked...brilliant bunch of guys! These two changed our old "new build!" into a fresh, smart coloured, and perfectly painted picture!
I cannot impress strongly enough the wonderful job Smartshield have done on our house..... absolutely amazing!!

Initially we were wanting the roof to be moss free as it was in desperate need of a clean. What we received was a service that was beyond our expectations. Stuart and the Smartshield team didn’t just make the roof moss free, but the use of the commercial pressure washers has brought back the original colour of the tiles. Thus, transforming the appearance of our home (like new). Well worth the money and would recommend to anyone who needs similar services.

Very pleased with the roof cleaning undertaken by Smartshield. The two workers, Dawid & Czarek, never stopped all day and after thoroughly cleaning all the moss and lichen from the roofs they cleaned the whole area. I'd certainly recommend these guys to anyone wanting professional roof cleaning and treatment.

WOW what a difference. We used Smartshield to clean our roof which was covered in moss and dirt. I can honestly say the roof looks like a brand new roof. We are so happy with the results. The lads are a credit to the Company. They worked so hard and cleared everything up after they had finished. A top quality job. I would recommend this company to anyone who is considering having works completed.
