Cracking week in Halkidiki with Solos. Looked after from start to finish. Good hotel, cracking pool, great food great company. Thoroughly recommended. Gary the Solos rep was excellent.

Just returned from a really lovely holiday to Halkadiki in Greece. If you are thinking about solo travel but feeling nervous just give it a go. Solos exclusive hotels are ideal - you can do exactly what you want but there's always great company if you want it. The hotel was lovely with a great pool and bar, the hotel staff were fab - so friendly and attentive and Gary our tour host was lovely - he goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is having a great time. Wish I was still there!

I have returned recently from a week at the Hotel Nereides in Chaniotis, Halkidiki. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, the breakfast has something for everyone and the pool is large and well kept.
Probably the best feature of the holiday though was our Rep, Gary, who went out of his way to ensure that everyone had the best time possible on the holiday. He knew when to be funny and when to be serious and the few minor problems which may have arisen were promptly and efficiently dealt with. All in all he is a credit to Solos and I look forward to bumping into him on some future Solos Holidays.

I thought Solo Holidays was a great idea meetig and enjoying the company of other solos 1st timers or seasoned travellers. Myself as a rather late 1st timer it was a great way to go to places that I hadn't seen before. Everything was arranged and I didnt have to worry about language barriers or something else. The host Gary was great always on hand to offer advice or deal with emergencies and in my case phone for emergency doctor. The setting in Halkidiki was great and the hotel lovely with friendly staff etc. I will always have happy memories of this holiday and fellow travellers and although a group there was always time to be alone if hat was your choice.. Thanks Solos and especially Gary a very amiable host.

Very good guide, Gary, on this Solos holidays in Halkidiki. Hotel fine but a bit dated. Breakfast food acceptable. Good swimming pool and adequate sunbeds. Didn't like the featureless beach and sea bed. Food tended to be tourist food rather than traditional Greek food. Tzadziki every evening not the best starter. I will go to the islands if I go to Greece again. Put off going abroad again however by awful Gatwick. What a disgusting money grabbing hell hole.
Overall, Solos is a good company if you want to be in a large group looked after by a capable guide. But, check out the destinations and hotels first.

George's team in Halkidiki were really easy to get to know and always on hand to help. Lovely atmosphere, and the help & communication skills from Gary Bailey made it easy to meet a new group of people. Firm friends made and looking forward to my next experience with Solos. Don't hesitate just book it. 😄

I have just come back from a Solos holiday in Halkidiki for 1 week. The family run hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful and provided a good choice for breakfast. The pool area was clean and tidy and there were plenty of sunbeds. My room had a balcony and pool view and was kept clean. The location was ideal for the beach, bars and restaurants.
Gary Bailey was our tour leader and did an exceptional job. He showed us round the area, booked restaurants for the group, recommended bars, provided information for the trips and prices and generally made sure that everyone in the group had a good time. I would thoroughly recommend him for other Solos holidays

I enjoyed a great week in Halkidiki with Solos and tour leader Gary. The family run hotel was ideally located and in a lovely setting around a pool with sunbeds. It was reassuring to have such a positive tour leader with us. Gary arranged all our evening meals without fuss and confusion and ensured our excursions ran smoothly. The mid-week quiz was fun and added that extra bit of fun to a super holiday.

Just came back from 2 weeks in Peru and what an amazing experience. Sue our tour leader was excellent. Good communicator, professional and friendly. We visited many locations and although we had many early starts and late arrivals it was all worth it. We saw sooo many things it’s hard to single out one. This was my second Solos holiday and I will definitely book another one. I tend to go for active/adventure holidays and having everything planned out for you is fantastic. Good hotels and fantastic food. The local guides were very knowledgable, friendly and professional. I will recommend this company. Thank you Solos

could not fault anything about this holiday really, great value for money, superb group leader in Gary Bailey and well organised by Solos.
Resort was quiet given mid may time slot and hotel needed some updating but these things did not detract from overall experience. Amongst 24 like minded travel companions all together exclusively in one hotel was brilliant.

This was my first Solos holiday so I was unsure of what to expect, but from the minute I arrived at the hotel I felt very comfortable. Gary our tour leader explained everything verbally and through the Whatsapp. The Hotel was very nice and my room was very spacious. Every step of the holiday was well co-ordinated and organised. Gary our tour guide was professional, friendly, funny and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him and any problems were sorted out quickly. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday to any other first timers to Solos and hope to book another one in the future.

My first Solo’s trip and it exceeded my expectations! As soon as we got together we were all chatting and hearing each other’s stories which I loved. Within a couple of days it felt like being in a private club with friends. Such a fantastic group of people! The Hotel Nereides location is very central with easy access to everything, it was just perfect for socialising, all the staff made us feel like family and contributed greatly to the wonderful experience. Gary Bailey our group host was amazing. Always on hand to help, answer questions and join in the fun..a really nice guy who looked out for everyone. This holiday was like therapy for me..I am missing this group enormously but came home with a heart full of happy ❤️

I spent a wonderful week in Halkidiki, Greece at Nereides Hotel which was very good with lovely staff and a beautiful pool area. Solos tour leader, Gary Bailey, was very professional, helpful and great company. I can’t recommend him enough. Nice fellow travellers and we all got on very well.

For me the holiday provided just what I wanted and almost better than advertised. Daytime flights, lovely and comfortable hotel with great staff and ourSolo host Gary was always around ready to sort out any issues, organise trips etc and definitly helped the whole group bond together a fantastic host

A lovely relaxing week. Really nice hotel with great staff, especially Domenica's mojitos. Our tour guide, Gary, was fantastic arranging optional day trips and group evening meals and making sure everyone had a great time.

I just came back yesterday from a week in Halkidiki and I had a great time. Gary Bailey was a really good tour host and we all felt relaxed and happy. I have been on many Solos Holidays and they have all been very good. Zante walking holiday was made even better having Fiona as our Tour leader. Always thinking of us and making sure we have a great time exploring. Nothing was too much trouble. Super organised,freindly and professional. Great local guides, beautiful walks and close to the beach. I would absolutely happily book and travel again with Fiona . Thank you 😊

Went on the Zakynthos walking holiday with Tour Leader Fiona Quinn. A great experience, walks were wonderful with beautiful views and flowers. The local walking guide was great. Fiona was excellent, very knowledgable about the island and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a fabulous holiday. Def recommend this holiday if Fiona is doing it next year!

Just come home from my 9th holiday with Solos. As always, another wonderful experience. This time was the Wellness Week on Thassos - absolutely blissful ! Our 5* hotel was awesome, food and service exceptional, and our tour leader Michelle felt like a trusted friend within a day, her genuine warmth was felt by all of us, her experience and professionalism ensured that everyone had their perfect holiday. The yoga sessions (if you wanted them ) were a welcome start to the day, and the free hour long massage was enjoyed by all of us. The only downside was that the week passed much too quickly, but by then, fourteen people who had started the week as strangers ended it as friends.
