Unfortunately quite a disappointing experience overall.

Our freezer initially stopped working and we arranged for someone to come out and assess it. We were given an 8am–4pm window, but the appointment was cancelled on the day and rearranged for the following day. The engineer eventually came out and advised us that defrosting it for 48 hours might get it working again, which thankfully it did for around 3–4 weeks.

When the freezer stopped working again, we decided to go ahead with the replacement fridge freezer they had quoted us for and paid for it in full. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened again — we kept the day free for an 8am–4pm delivery window, only to be told on the day that it had been cancelled and would instead be delivered the following day.

I completely understand that cancellations sometimes happen and wouldn’t normally leave a negative review over a one-off, but having it happen twice was frustrating, particularly when the appointment windows require you to be available for essentially the entire day.

On the rearranged delivery day, we then received a text at around 6:30am regarding the delivery, but they didn’t actually arrive until around 9:30am. There were then issues with finding/using the local parking, and my partner was being asked to come outside and help while she was at home looking after our newborn baby.

None of these things individually would have been a major problem, and I appreciate that delays and parking difficulties happen. However, when added together — particularly the two same-day cancellations — the whole experience became unnecessarily stressful and inconvenient.

Had the delivery taken place on the originally agreed day, I would have been there myself and could have helped with the parking, so that situation could likely have been avoided as well.

The fridge freezer itself is now sorted, which we’re grateful for, but I do think the organisation and communication around appointments and delivery could be improved.

Easy to book, came at a time that suited us, kept updated. Friendly, interesting “doctor”, diagnosed the problem from the symptoms before even looked at machine. Thankfully for us easy cheap fix and machine was back up and running within 30 mins of arrival. Thank you!

Highly recommend. Friendly and helpful customer service from the service engineer Craig and team in the office. The communication was excellent, with a message direct to my phone with all the information required.

What a great service Spin doctors. Got a prompt call back to book the faulty dishwasher, Carol who booked it was polite and helpful. They visited within 48 hours. The engineer Craig was a great communicator calling twice to confirm arrival time. He was polite and interested completing the fix in quick time with no extra charges. Didn't have to wait long for a callout. Great communication the whole time. Although th engineers tried everything my machine was not able to be brought back to life but I will certainly use them again

Used Spin Doctor to fix a faulty cooling fan on our oven.

Engineer was thorough and didn't want to leave until sure the problem was diagnosed. Even though no parts were replaced, the cooker appears to be working as it should.

Top marks for persistence and communication onside.

Spin Doctor sent someone out within a few hours of my call to look at my washing machine. David attended and he was very friendly and was able to diagnose the issue very quickly, improving the problem and increasing the life of the machine. Would highly recommend.

Great experience using this company for the first time. We booked an engineer to come and look at both our washing machine and tumble dryer which both were emitting burning smells. David attended and quickly diagnosed a drum problem with the washing machine and although we could potentially have got a bit more time out of it we decided to order a new machine (also through Spin Doctor). The tumble dryer was opened up and a whole load of lint was cleaned out from the internal parts of the machine not accessible to us. This is now back to functioning! The new washing machine was ordered and fitted (by another David!) within 24 hours whereas it would have been 2 weeks to get the same one delivered from John Lewis. Great service and would recommend and use again!

Spin doctors should absolutely be your first choice for repairs, I have a split grill element and was looking at nearly £600 to have a equivalent replacement, installed and delivered. Spin doctors Brilliant Knowledgeable customer service and speedy Engineer repair only cost me £150 (with part).
They Literally saved my Bacon.
