We honestly couldn’t have been happier with Spitting Pig Caterers! From the very beginning, they were so helpful, friendly and accommodating, and nothing was ever too much trouble.

The food was absolutely amazing! There was such a fantastic selection and everything was delicious. We had so many compliments from our guests on the night, but what really says it all is that people were still talking about the food the next day and telling us how great it was!

They made everything so easy for us and took one less thing for us to worry about, which was exactly what we needed when organising a party. The whole team were fantastic and we really couldn’t have asked for more.

A huge thank you to Spitting Pig for helping make our party so special. We would 100% recommend them and would definitely use them again!

What I thought was going to be a chaotic experience turned out to be the most seamless experience I’ve ever had. From the minute we made the booking, communication from the spitting pig couldn’t have been more professional . They talked through everything, explained what would happen. When they arrived you wouldn’t have know they were there until the smell of the food. The food was divine, everyone commented on how delicious it was and all went for seconds. Before we knew it they had cleared up as if they hadn’t been there. I would definitely book again and recommend to anyone. Thank you.

We hired the Spitting Pig company to cater our wedding. We wanted a relaxed garden party at home but didn’t want the work involved of catering the event. The Spitting Pig was exceptional from beginning to end and gave us exactly what we wanted.
Out event hosts were Chris and Kayleigh, Kayleigh was our initial contact and dealt with the ordering and menu choices in the 1st instance. She was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We had a dairy allergy (My Mom), 2 Celiac and some vegetarians and she put me at ease straight away and assured me this would be no problems and even offered to make a diary free Mac and Cheese. (My Mom loved this and even asked to take the leftovers home)
Chris was present on the day; he was brilliant too. He arrived in good time, and we even felt comfortable enough to leave him at our home to set up as we left to get married and when we come back, everything was ready and sorted for us.
The food was superb; everyone commented on how good the meat was and how lovely the whole set up was. After they had finished serving, they cleared away even took the rubbish away with them, you would never have known they had been.
I would highly recommend The Spitting Pig and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. 5 Star service from beginning to end. Very personal able, friendly and professional and amazing food.

Wedding event. The food was incredible, the staff really friendly and the set up was exceptionally clean. Such a massive variety of food and will definitely be using again, just need the excuse.All Of our friends wanted details so they can use you as well.

An outstanding company, my daughter hired them for her wedding, we couldn’t have asked for better, wonderful friendly staff, who’s level of service was impeccable considering the logistics of the venue. The charcuterie boards were amazing both visually and in variety, the hog roast was very tender and full of flavour, served with delicious homemade coleslaw, then finished off with perfectly presented desserts. I’d highly recommend this company.

We chose the BBQ and hog roast with vegetarian options for our work summer party, and it exceeded all of our expectations. From the initial booking right through to the event itself, the team were fantastic to deal with. They were friendly, responsive, and very accommodating when we needed to make additions to our booking, ensuring everything was taken care of. They also catered for all of our dietary requirements without any issues, making sure everyone had plenty of delicious options to enjoy. The setup was professional, well organised, and carried out with no disruption to the rest of the day's activities, allowing everything to run smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious and received compliments from everyone throughout the event. The BBQ, hog roast, and vegetarian options were all excellent, with a great selection that catered to everyone. Everything was cooked and presented beautifully. The serving team were friendly, helpful, and professional. They took the time to explain all of the food options and were happy to answer any questions, making the whole experience seamless from start to finish. So easy to organise and book, we were supported to make the right decisions for our day. The hosts contacted us to talk through the timings and food choices, which was great.
On the day, they arrived and set up and were friendly, professional and fun. Anyone could go and see the hog! This went down so well for us.
The food was fresh and tasty and everyone enjoyed it. The crackling was superb!
This is our second event using the spitting pig and we would highly recommend them.

Kerry and Kaz took on our outdoor party at short notice. I'd thought I could do all the catering myself, but with a British heatwave, little fridge space and full time job to hold down I caved and reached out to caters.

Spitting Pig had the availability. I emailed a central team (in the North) and they got me paired up with a local branch.

Kate and Saskia in central office were good.

Kerry and Kaz joined us from near Leicester/Northamptonshire for our party in Cambridgeshire. Ben in their office was fab too.

It was my husbands 50th birthday, and above 30 degrees Celsius.

I wanted extras in addition to their BBQ menu, which we arranged during booking. They were happy to help.

They had a great set of menus but I liked their BBQ one best and the choice was excellent.

Great burgers, pulled pork, marinated ribs, pulled jackfruit and Halloumi skewers - loved the salad and gourmet coleslaw too.

They arrived in good time, they communicated clearly with me, the set up looked amazing, guests loved it, the food was delicious, and they were professional and jovial throughout.

Would highly recommend.

Afterwards they packed down and helpfully gave us all our left overs.

Honestly everyone was very impressed and it really took the weight off my shoulders.

My husband got to BBQ his own hot dogs on our BBQ as he wished, and the ladies did the rest on their kit. Which meant once he'd handed a good few hot dogs out he was free to host in different ways and greet his guests. He wasn't tied down to things and neither was I.

REALLY good value for money. Very well prepared and responsive.

We're eating luscious leftovers today too!

I'm now thinking what other occasions I can dream up, so we can hire them again 🙂

Reliable company to deal with - good pre-event communication and ability to personalise the menu. On the day, good service, pleasant and helpful staff with excellent food - what more could you ask for!

My wife's 80th Birthday party was a resounding success, due mainly to the excellence of Spitting Pig's superb hog roast. The serving staff were excellent, the sauces, salads and sweets were delicious and every one enjoyed it.
Would recommend them to anyone wanting to have a hog roast.

Had Spitting Pig Cater my 60th birthday garden party in late May 2026. They were simply fantastic with a fast and efficient setup, amazing food that my guests loved, and fast and professional clear up. The staff were very professional and just got on with the job without needing any assistance. Definitely recommend them and look forward to using them at my 70th party! Thank you Spitting Pig crew. We booked the Spitting Pig for an event at our Golf Club in Newcastle and it was a 5 star experience from the booking process right through to delivery of the event itself. The chefs on the day were fantastic, they even took all the used plates away at the end. Highly recommend

The Spitting Pig recently served a banquet meal for our wedding and it was utterly flawless. Not only did they cook the most fabulous food, they saved our day by taking us on as a last minute client (our other caterer had to drop out last minute). Their service was outstanding and it was the smoothest experience from start to finish. Most importantly, our guests were blown away by the quality of food, the generous portions and the incredibly kind and fun staff. Great communication leading up to the ceremony about the size and type of the pig and the vegetarian option sounded so good, I actually had to try, and had seconds it was so good!!
Really accommodating with my celiac and dairy free guest, who also were given a great feast from Paul who knows what he's taking about.

The whole process from first contact to the team tidying, packing and leaving was outstanding. Despite the awful weather the team served great food efficiently and professionally throughout the afternoon for 50+ guests. Much of the food was cooked fresh on-site. Sustainable bamboo was used for plates and cutlery. Care was taken on set up and tidy up. The on-site team led by K were superb.
