Stratstone - MINI Derby Opiniones 

My long experience of new car handovers meant I had very low expectations, and Stratstone Mini met them. Even though I was expected, I was greeted on arrival by a receptionist who treated me like a homeless person walking in off the street asking to use the toilet. A message that the sales person was running late was never delivered. I was never offered refreshment, or anything else whilst waiting. I'm aware that this is a temporary situation, but the dealership itself is very unwelcoming, dark, a bit shabby and was freezing cold. No heating on that was apparent even though it was 6 degrees outside and felt the same inside – No idea how the staff manage. It was clean though. When the salesman did appear - 15 minutes after the appointment time, I was told the delay was as a result of the vehicle needing to be valeted, and even though it had been on site for several days, they didn't start the process until shortly before my arrival. They could have not bothered and saved the effort. At this time of year it would have been dirty 50 meters after leaving the site. Actual paperwork and handover of the vehicle (when it was eventually ready) was fine. All that needed to be done was done, and I have no complaints about the vehicle or set-up, which on an hours acquaintance is excellent. The Salesman was pleasant and did his best to lighten the mood, but a combination of the freezing temperatures inside and out, the waiting with no explanation and lack of hospitality definitely soured the experience. Some form of flowers (or indeed anything at all) as a welcome gift for my wife would have been nice, but hey ho. I spent £90k on a Bentley last year and had a similar experience. On the plus side, at no time did anyone blame COVID for the lack of service, which was a refreshing change.

Purchased a used vehicle over the phone. It was delivered with a broken radio and rip in the wind deflector. I asked for the vehicle to be collected and they had it a week. Was delivered back with a service light on even though no service is due. Email the dealership and the Sales man said he was off that day but would email the service manger to find out what the issue was. Was expecting a call the next day but nothing.

Back in April 2021 I was looking for a 306hp mini clubman jcw and with Derby being our closest dealership I gave them a call, the gentleman called Jason that I spoke to told us that he would get someone to call me back but no one ever did, so guess what,we went to stratstone Doncaster and because the salesman was very helpful we bought one from there, at that point my opinion of stratstone Derby wasn’t very high,until this week.We had a fairly rare 306 hp badge insert missing on a side panel/ indicator and I thought first of all give Derby a call because they are my closest dealership, I had the good fortune to speak to Lewis Overton in the parts department, first of all he understood what part was missing and even though he had to go down a couple of routes to find the part number ( because it’s not in the parts catalogue) he persevered and not only found the part number,within 3 days he had the part and got someone to fit it for me,brilliant more than happy,as the car didn’t look as good without the insert. Then secondly, as I was leaving,by chance I saw someone who’s name I think was Tim, youngish and I assume a mechanic,I asked him about apple CarPlay and he stood for 2 minutes and set my phone up for me, brilliant and happy again plus someone sweeping leaves up said hello as well as someone cleaning a car, the overall experience I had this afternoon was very good and has convinced me that come service time Derby will probably get my work,well done and Thankyou.

Grace Pritchard at derby mini company was absolutely incredible, such a delight to interface with and made the entire process painless and stress free. From beginning to end, I got my new gorgeous mini in 3 days, clean and sparkly.

Poor communication at all stages once deposit was paid attempted to pressure sell extras and then somebody within the delivery process appears to have lied
