Extremely Disappointed – A Let Down from Porsche Stockport
I was genuinely excited to collect my Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition (2022, Reg: LB22 UYD) from Porsche Stockport. After arranging a collection date and taking a full day off work, I was just about to begin my 2-hour journey when I received a call cancelling the handover. The reason? An orange peel effect on the paintwork – only noticed in the showroom, days after everything had supposedly been prepared.
What followed was even more disappointing. Rather than an apology or attempt to take ownership, I was subtly blamed for the delay – being told that wanting the car two weeks after placing my deposit somehow made the situation my fault. That’s completely unacceptable.
I chose Porsche expecting a premium experience and excellent customer service, especially after working hard to afford this car. Unfortunately, what I received fell well below expectations – and clearly, based on other reviews, I'm not alone.
This experience has completely put me off Porsche. For a brand that markets itself on quality and prestige, the customer care felt anything but. A real shame, and a massive letdown.
