Best service we can hope for
I am writing a long review so that everyone get a full picture.
Me and my wife moved to uk from bangladesh on march 23. Professionally we both are doctors. My wife got a job in hereford county hospital so we moved to hereford.
Initially we had to stay in an accomodation because we couldn't rent any house without viewing. Being a resident in a 3rd world country little did we know about the uk system. Within a few weeks we got to know that we cant stay in that accomodation for long and we had to vacant the room. So we started searching to rent a property here.
The real pain started then. I have to be honest here. While asking for viewing any property we felt like we r not welcome here and we r a pair of vigilant who fled from a jail. Everyone asking so many questions and at the end our request rejected as we didn't have any tenancy certificate or reference for minimum 1 year despite my wife working in NHS as a doctor. It got us worried and we felt like we made a crime coming here. As member of International medical graduates we also learned so many doctors having problems with their landlords which got us more worried.
Still we kept searching for properties. One property we both liked on the west street under the banner of Sunderland properties. The hospital solicitor told me to go to their office and try to communicate. So i went to their office and expressed my interest. They said respective agent will contact me. I never had any hope of getting this high end property still i tried
The next day I got and Email from Mr Phillp Ashman from Sunderland hereford. Surprisingly after some conversation he gave us a viewing. I must say i was both amazed and hopeful again.
At first meet I realized that Mr phillp is soo friendly and helpful. Its like the opposite picture we have been getting and hearing from our colleagues. So after fulfilling all the formalities the landlord accepted us for renting the property. It was the most perfect apartment we can have in hereford.
Since the begining Mr Phillip kept helping us in every possible way. He answered all my questions anytime i send him message or give him a call. He really changed my views in staying in uk and i realized that I am part of uk now. He never did any discrimination as we r not uk resident. We have been renting the house since may 23. Till now he helps us anytime we face any problem or ask any maintenance questions. Or freezer wasnt working this summer despite being a newly renovated question. The moment i informed Mr. Phillip he booked a repair guy to look at it within 10 min. And within few days we got a new freezer replaced by them. I mean i never expected this kind of friendly service. I was scared that i might have to pay but surprisingly I didnt have to because the compressor failed. And Mr. Phillip never asked us how did it happened or anything although we didn't do anything. That was only one example. Its like the best service we can ever hope for.
I must say Mr Phillip from Sunderland is the best agent I might have met till now and I believe no one can surpass him in future because he is friendly, responsible and helpful in every possible way a tenant can for.
