FOLLOWING DERBY AUDI ADVICE COST ME 4K!!!
My first Q5 auto had metatronic failure, I took it to Derby Audi where they told me if they always did the maintenance on your vehicle they will stand by them so when I brought my new Q5, I took it to them for the maintenance. The metatronic failed 3 months later again!!!!!! So I took it to Derby Audi thinking that they would they stand by it, would they heck as like!!! I was told by Audi that a car can fail at any time! This is not a Renault or a Fiat it's an Audi! The car was only 3 years old, if ur heart is set on an Audi for the love of god DO NOT BUY AN AUDI AUTOMATIC these box's have cost me £7500 in total they have serious issues with the metatronic unit inside the gearbox and when they go, they can take out your clutch packs aswell resulting in even more $$!

My first and last Audi car!!
My first and last Audi car!!!
My Audi had an issue with the coolant.
My Audi car was 18 months old with 12,000 miles.
I did not buy the car from Derby Audi, but when I contacted them about the first coolant warning light, Derby Audi told me that any problems with the car needed to be investigated by an Audi dealership to maintain the warranty.
I live in Derby, and therefore Derby Audi was my nearest dealership.
Audi assist were called out 3 times for the coolant warning lights, 2 times it was towed into Derby Audi, and 4 times the coolant level was topped up by Audi Assist and Audi Derby.
Derby Audi could not find the problem and every time let me drive away with the problem not resolved.
Only after the 3rd episode of not resolving the problem, Derby Audi decided that they would book my car in and strip the engine to investigate the ongoing coolant problem.
My husband had highlighted to the mechanical team that the coolant was a closed system and that as a leak had not been identified (despite the numerous coolant top ups performed) then the only other place the coolant could be going was into the engine - he was told that this was not the case!!!!
After the 3rd investigation and before the date arrived for the car to go in for the 4th investigation the car suffered a catastrophic event - the head gasket blew, and other related damage was caused!!!
As the car was only 18 months old, the warranty was still valid. Audi UK were involved in investigating the catastrophic event and it took 5 weeks to repair all the damage to my car at Derby Audi.
Audi UK or Audi Derby never acknowledged that this was a distressing situation, or apologised for what had happened to my car. This was a highly unusual event for a car of its age and milage, I was told that in 14 years of the dealership, they had not seen anything like this before!
The customer service manager was arrogant and rude.
I reported instantly to Derby Audi or Audi Assist when the warning lights came on and as a customer there was nothing more that I could have done.
However due to the cars age, the cars mileage, and the 3rd time reporting the same issue with the car, and being towed into the dealership for investigation, I do not think the dealership should have let my car out of the workshop until they had fully striped my car to resolve the problem.
Due to the overall arrogant treatment we received from the Derby Audi dealership and our loss of confidence in the car, we sold the car to Derby Audi.
Never will I step into that dealership again.
I would like to praise Hannah for all of her efforts. Hannahs customer service was 5🌟
