Sold an unavailable car!
I reserved a car on line as advised by the Salesman as there was another dealer trying to secure the car. 3 Days later we viewed the car and paid a further deposit to proceed with the deal.
After changing our insurance and arranging a collection date, I received a phone notifying me the car had been sold to someone else and we were no longer able to continue with the purchase! Very confused as to how this can happen I requested my deposit to be returned, this took a further 4 days! Clearly i was not being told the full story. After me prompting them to come up with a solution communication became very poor. Customer service is clearly not a priority!

As discussed with our MINI Brand Manager, one of our other Sytner MINI Retailers had taken a deposit on the vehicle just hours before you did which resulted in us losing the vehicle. This should have been communicated faster than it was and we acknowledge the disappointment caused. The deposit does take a few days to show back on your account which I know has now landed with you. Poor service from what should be a premium brand
I recently had a recall on my X6 and therefore booked into BMW Cardiff as it is near to my office and was advised it would be a 2 day job so arranged trains to get home and back in the morning as it is a hour round trip by car. The week before I had an email to check the car in for 8am on the Monday, I also booked fuel additives and requested a price to upgrade the sat nav. Then the Friday before I had a phone call to check that I was bringing it in despite me confirming electronically, yet again I asked about the price for updating the sat nav, the adviser said they would ring back or email a price which was never forthcoming.
I dropped the car as promised on the Monday morning, duly dived on the packed train that night and then back the following morning. As I had not heard anything back by 1pm on Tuesday I rang to check when the car would be ready, there was no advisers to take my call. An adviser rang back at 1.30 to say the car had not been started on despite being there a day and a half and would not be ready until Wednesday. I advised that was not acceptable and gave a solution of a courtesy car to enable me to get home. The adviser stated that was unlikely as they were booked out weeks in advice, I advised that I had booked my car in weeks in advance and should be ready on time but he would speak to a manager.
He rang back at 2.30 to say they had 2 technicians on the car and it would be ready by 5.30 which amazed me.
When I picked the car up, no apology or explanation of why the car had not been started for a day and a half and no communication. To top it off the invoice and health check had the correct reg no but a 318i and the complete wrong mileage so someone else’s data.
Avoid this dealer at all costs, ignore requests for prices to upgrade, don’t communicate and share clients data

Amazing experience ✨
I was contacted in August regarding changing my car. The sales team were very knowledgeable about the cars they offer and could answer all of my questions. During the wait for my car Teah, kept me up to date throughout. On the day I collected my car, I arrived to find my new car in the show room with a bow on top accompanied by a goodie bag. An experience I’ve never had when purchasing a new car before. It made the experience feel very luxurious and special. I would highly recommend Teah and Cardiff Sytner Mini.
