We bought a car from Sytner Select lads week and the whole experience was superb from start to finish.
The relatively new salesman a young man called Dafydd Hill was wonderful,welcoming,helpful and polite all the way through and is going to be an asset to the company.

Really helpful and accomodating team. Was welcomed on the door and swiftly set up for a car viewing by Gurkirpa. Unfortunately didn't purchase the car but nothing to do with disappointing service or price. Super helpful with showing the car and test drive. Informative but not too pushy - ideal when buying a car. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great (and very fast) buying experience thanks to Shinay. Buying a car that our son had chosen on line, was a bit stressful but Shinay was cool, calm and collected. She was extremely helpful and test drive, insurance, payment etc was all completed easily in 2/3 hours. We drove the car away and set off to deliver it in Kent. An excellent experience by an excellent sales rep. Thank you Shinay.

Met Mohamed after spending half an hour looking around at the lovely range of cars they have, made my husband and I very comfortable with his calming also charming manner. He showed us a number of cars for our price range and needs, came across one particular car which I thought was very nice, he then showed us a few more but decided to look back at a lovely mondeo and had a bit more indepth look when his battery run out on his computer, so decided maybe it was fate 🤣
After a test drive we decided to buy the car which we then met with lovely Jacob who also made us feel relaxed
during the process and explained everything in detail. We all had a lovely laugh and chat which made for a great experience
Would absolutely recommend Mohamed and Jacob if you decide to go through this company ask for these sellers.
Had a lovely smooth drive home in our new car .. hope this helps anyone who is looking

Sytner Select Cardiff - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I recently bought a Mini GP from this shower, I have already given a one star review for the sales experience. They are appalling, they do not return calls ever.
But now they have surpassed themselves, their Customer Service Charter states no servicing will be required within 3 months or 3000 miles of delivery and yet my service light came on within a few weeks. Credit to them they admitted their mistake and will cover the oil and filter part of the outstanding service... but they are refusing to cover an outstanding suspension service which is a BMW/Mini requirement.
I have contacted them requesting they reconsider their position and if they do I will be happy to update this review... fingers crossed eh?
Just as I expected they haven’t honoured their customer charter. I am now in the process of contacting trading standards to report them.

Hands down the best car buying experience I’ve ever had!

​I dropped by a few dealerships on Tuesday just to look around, and this one was by far the best of the bunch.

Zero high-pressure sales tactics—just a collection of fantastic, high-quality cars that truly speak for themselves.

​Even though I didn't have an appointment, the team welcomed me right away. A massive shout out to Shinay, who was absolute quality from start to finish. She went above and beyond, setting up a test drive on the spot without any pushiness at all. She offered a very fair valuation on my trade-in, and to top it off, the team threw in a heavily discounted GardX package, which was professionally applied right then and there while Shinay and I sorted the paperwork.

Her manager was equally brilliant—thoroughly explaining the warranty options without a hint of pressure.

​I went in dreading the whole process of replacing a car, but I drove away in my new car, I'm very happy with, a few hours later! Unbeatable customer service—thank you so much, Shinay and the team!

Great cars. Nice atmosphere, sales people were knowledgable, car was presented well. I had a few questions after buying the car and they were happy to help. I would definitely recommend to others.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Seen two cars I was interested in seeing online, arrived and was seen in minutes of arriving by Tristan who arranged for both cars to be brought into the showroom. Went for a test drive and agreed on the car, the paperwork was easy and straightforward. Car was collected a few days later. Excellent service throughout the whole experience. Thank you Tristan.

My daughter and I were looking for a replacement car for her. Initial interactions were positive, she looked at a couple of cars she liked. The sales people looked at her car and then the trouble started. Rather than talk figures the sales man who was new, called in his manager. What an arrogant rude man! He did not listen to my daughter. Kept dismissing what she said. Told her repeatedly how awful her car was and how little it was worth. He pressured her to make the purchase yet offered nothing but unhelpful comments. He is a bully and despite his claimed 20 years in the job lost the sale. I hope his manager reads this! My daughter was getting increasingly stressed by his behaviour, she felt bullied and had I not been there would have been pressured into spending her money. We left and I am pleased to say we went to a far nicer garage and bought a replacement car, gaining a newer car of the same make and model for the same money and with a better part exchange value.

Sytner need to discipline this manager, he lost the sale, is rude, arrogant and a bully. Avoid at all costs, we shall never go back and i wont be recommending Sytner to any of my contacts.

There is so much to be said about the terrible car sold to me and rubbish treatment I received when raising a major fault with a vehicle bought with Sytner Select Cardiff. In short, the car failed, Sytner Select wouldn’t accept the assessment made by their choice of roadside assistance, and rejected my fair and legal right to reject the vehicle within 5 days of its purchase. They made me go through a mediating body, refusing to engage further with me, treating me appallingly in the process, until proved wrong.

In full:
The car, advertised and sold as fully functioning, broke down five days after purchase when the dashboard went blank at maximum speed limit. Roadside assistance’s assessment was a problem with the car’s internal computer. Sytner Select later argued it was “simply a battery fault”, which they “fixed” without informing me or checking with me. All the while the car salesperson, at the point of sale, told me the battery had just been changed - albeit not in writing so I have no other way to prove it but a witness.
When the car was towed back to Sytner Select Bristol, in the city where I am based, reception was notified and keys were handed to a salesperson. Followed days of phone calls requesting an update and an immediate rejection of the vehicle, having put my safety at serious risk and lost all faith in it. Calls were either not answered, redirected, or answered to tell me the person concerned was unavailable. Sytner Select Bristol was “unaware” the vehicle was in their care and struggled to produce the keys. It took for me to pay the Bristol AND Cardiff Sytner Select branches a visit in person to obtain some answers. I was then given an email address to request my formal rejection, which I was told was possible and within my right. Despite this, days later, still without news which I was told would arrive within 24h, the car was deemed “repaired” with a new battery fitted, and my rejection request was denied. Followed numerous emails to several managers, attaching all proof needed. Sytner Select standing firm on their decision, I was told to stop contacting them and that they would no longer engage with me. I was redirected to a mediating body, who asked me to create a full dossier of proof and timeline of events. Once my claim reached Sytner Select, and before the mediating body ruled in either one or the other’s favour, Sytner Select contacted me to backtrack and offer me a full refund. At this point, their responses were regular and prompt. To avoid the risk of losing my case (which however was clearly not going to be the case), I accepted. I however lost out on the possibility of compensation, which Sytner Select would have had to pay me - should the mediating body have ruled in my favour.

Through this whole process, I was ping-ponged around, barely given responses, not offered a courtesy car despite depending on a car for work, and treated appallingly.

I would strongly advise AGAINST buying a vehicle with Sytner Select. Even contacting their central office got me nowhere, what poor customer service and an overall scam.

A full month wasted in the process, leaving me cashless to urgently buy myself another vehicle for work, and causing me all sorts of anxiety and trouble.

After my previous 1 star review. I spoke with Carl Harris and he reassured me about the process. we agreed to still want the car. 10 days later we have had to chase again to be told via email the car had been sent to trade due to some internal miscommunication. The sales rep is away again for 2 days and we are being passed around to raise a refund. I find it incredibly frustrating that no one is willing to take responsibility and deal with this situation instead of telling us I’ve passed this onto a colleague to look into it for you. 0 stars for customer service.

I had a great experience dealing with Oliver. He was incredibly patient and helped me look at 3 or 4 different cars before I finally decided on the Mazda CX-30. Nothing was too much trouble, and I couldn't be happier with the service and care he provided.

He even waited while I sorted out issues with my bank, which I really appreciated. Oliver made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend him if you're looking for excellent customer service!

Mohammed (and Melvin) were both very helpful and friendly. Answered all my questions and helped with the relevant paperwork. I’m delighted with my car and Mohammed made sure everything was ready so I could drive away the same day.
