I purchased and installed a theme/template from the developer TemplateMela via the Prestashop Online-Store first time in June 2023.

That was a very, very big mistake.

WHY:

The theme isn't really foreign language-capable and only partially adopts the translations created with Prestashop's translation tool. Fragments in English always remain in the store, even though they should appear in German.

I can do whatever I want, it doesn't work

It doesn't seem to work properly with Prestasho's translation tool

And the worst part is, as an end user, you don't know where or how to fix it. In any case, this language chaos can't be resolved with the translation tool. You don't even know where it's located or how to get rid of it.

That was the first part of the drama, because I couldn't and didn't want to launch my store because of this language confusion.

After two years had passed, I tried again, this time with an upgrade of the existing theme/template.

At first, it went a little better than last time, but now...

Exactly the same thing again. There are still English language fragments left in the shop that absolutely shouldn't be there.

They helped a bit at the beginning. But there are still only nine incorrect translations left.

Basically, a small thing, and very easy and quick to fix for a skilled developer.

It would be a piece of cake for the developer of these templates to do this and it would take very little time, but NO they don't want that.

But now they're blocking me and being stubborn. Instead of helping me fix this little thing, I'm supposed to hire an external agency to translate these nine remaining words.

Exactly the same behavior as the first time in 2023.

My options were the existing translation tool, which I used to no avail.

So now I'm standing in front of an almost finished shop for the second time, like my first attempt in 2023, and I'm stuck for a whole nine words that TemplateMela refuses to translate.

Judge for yourself how petty, shabby, and customer-unfriendly this is.

No, I really can't recommend this, and I hope enough people see this.

One star is too much for something like this.

Nice themes and fast support that gives you answer to all your problems! I really advice anyone who needs good themes with good support to use their services.
Any new website am going to create now, I know where to buy! Good prices ;)

I needed some help with an open cart template and these guys were great. That not only solved my issue but I also needed a couple of small modifications which they did at no cost and within a matter of hours. The other thing about their templates is they are easy to install. Just follow the instructions and it is done and set up.

TemplateMela is the author of Prestashop theme The Artifice Art & Culture. It was my the 2nd choice I tried to run my store on. The first one, bought outside the official PrestaShop addons marketplace, unfortunatelly, despite the help from support, was impossible to set up because of dozens of bugs. The Artifice Art & Culture, a premium template, cought my attention among hundreds of others from the very begining. Its not exaggerated design causes my customers love it. Clarity and simplicity describe it the best. It happend I had to ask for support. They have solved each of my so far requests just immediately. Do I recommend templates from the author Template Mela? Yes, without a shadow of a doubt.

Ik heb zelden zo'n goede service meegemaakt als bij dit bedrijf, zelfs na 4 jaar. Ik koop vooraan alle templates via TemplateMela!

Jeg har købt et enkelt template hos dem, men måtte have en del hjælp under opsætningen. De svare tilbage samme dag eller dagen efter, og har altid en løsning på problemet. Kan klart anbefales.
