Brought my sons test forward which is great but a week before they cancelled it and his driving instructor said they sell tests of the highest bidder even if the slot is taken. Dvsa do not recommend these apps so please be watchful. Charges my £18.99 for premium aswell only to let my sons slot out. So it’s a no I won’t be recommending the app to others

Worked despite the new rules on test changes coming in after we signed up for it. Only had 2 notifications and missed the first one. The second one came in as a short notice and we clicked accept. It did everything for us and we got the email from DVSA immediately confirming the change. Saved 79 days.

Those reviewer who haven’t had notifications it’s probably down to the lack of tests not the app.

Had the app downloaded for around 1 month in total.

Terrible! Doesn't work!!
It doesn't work. They took money without any guarantee. But they keep asking me to expanc the test window. 2 months passed by but I have never received any notification from App. It just worked for 5 days 😐
At the end I took my original booked test. They're totally scam!!!!
Avoid them!!!!

I was fully expecting this to be a waste of money however I signed up only last night and after checking reviews I wasn’t expecting much. I had a test booked for Brentwood in august and I wanted to change it to Wood Green but hadn’t been having any luck on the DVLA website myself. I know new slots are released often on a Monday from 6am but I’ve missed them however I woke up this morning at 6.45 to find that TestShift had moved my booking to woodgreen 45 days earlier then my original booking so I am very happy! (I paid for the premium asked to auto shift and had put in our holiday dates to avoid)

Downloaded test shift to help my son book a resit driving test, we booked a standard test via DVSA on a Monday, getting a test in six month's time. Then we added all his info into the app, set his availability, paid for premium (17.99) and made sure we had auto book on! For the first week - we had nothing and I was starting to think I'd wasted my money, but then after exactly one week on I got a ping, his test was shifted forward by 18 days, not much but progress nonetheless. Then 45 mins later another ping, his test is now in 2.5 weeks! He's super happy! I made sure I turned off the scanning and auto book once this last swap date came through as he's happy with this new date.

In 3 months of use we had no useful productive assistance from the app. The app was set to auto but we never benefited from a test at our local centre. At one stage we drove over a hundred miles to sit a test within a reasonable time frame. We arranged a retest in May 2026 at our 3rd choice location. At 06:30 in the morning 26.06.26 the app moved our test to 08:20, the same day at our local centre. When we woke up at 08:00 this morning we read the messages, with just 20 minutes before the test was starting…. Obviously we weren’t able to get to the test centre with such ridiculously short notice. We were charged £62 and now have to wait 10 days before we can book again because DVSA regard us as a ‘no show’. The app developers are not interested in the massive inconvenience and financial costs. Truly pathetic service and appalling customer service. Avoid…

Just need to give it time but it works!
I signed up to this app at the end of February and on the day I signed up to it, it moved my test three weeks forward but still meant my test was five months away. Then there was nothing for weeks and weeks and I lost hope. Then today it has auto shifted me to this coming Wednesday!!! Sooooo happy! It DOES work - just need to give it time.

I’m actually please with TestShift, guys just give it time! I had a test booked 3 hours away from me 6 months away. i downloaded TestShift, I’m not going to lie, I lost hope a little bit after downloading but you really do need to give it time! I think it took 10 days to get the test I wanted (it gave me other cancellations in the meantime) and I managed to save 4 months! Unfortunately I did fail my test…but I still have my premium on TestShift so I’m hoping it will pull through again!

You just need patience, I thought this app was useless but then it moved me forwards!

At first I tried to cancel as I was very sceptical even though a friend had recommended this app for my daughter. But honestly hands down the app was very good changed my daughters test twice. Even my daughter’s driving instructor wanted to details for other students as couldn’t belive how many tests she had in short space of time. Worth the upgrade & pateince

Useless app. Used it a month now and not had one notification when I know there were tests available as have another app that does alert me to cancellation. I paid for this app so can auto move my test as the other app I paid for just takes too long for you to get through that the test is then no longer available. Please don’t waste your money paying for this app

I bought this app (premium version) through Google store in January 2026 and it did not help me to get a slot that near my home at all. I finally got a test on the government Web site myself. I requested a refund from Google app store, they refused and asked me to contact the testshift instead, I sent them email to request refund but no response. Avoid!

it worked, it saved me months, you just have to be patient.

Last year around August 2025 I was looking for my first practical driving test. I downloaded the TestShift App and without premium, it would notify me of available driving test slots that I had missed. Eventually I managed to book my driving test through the government website and uninstalled the app.

More recently, I failed my test so need to find another one. I redownloaded the test shift app and it has not updated at all. It searches but it does not find anything. I left it this way for days but it did not update at all, even to tell me there are no tests available. It is stuck on January 2026. I purchased premium in the hope that this might get it to work properly but no luck. It still hasn't updated. By luck I just logged into the government website and booked a test at my desired test centre. The app did not alert me to one being available, eventhough there was one available.

I emailed testshift asking for a refund, as in my experience it has been pretty useless. They are yet to respond to me. I dont have high hopes. Paid £15 for nothing, it is pretty disappointing.

My recommendation is to avoid this app.

I was sceptical about this ap. but I paid for premium and got a test over 100 days earlier.

Very quick. Very simple. Easy to follow. No stress.

I paid for this today within 3 hrs 4 test dates on my selected test centre on the testi app.not one of these were picked up on this app if I could I would score it zero .I have asked for refund and I will dispute payment with bank if they do not refund me .update they have now refunded my fee

Great app! It notified me of cancellations in my chosen locations, and the process for accepting or declining tests was seamless. I received frequent updates, and the one off £15 payment covers you forever, which I love. Definitely great value for money and I highly recommend.

I’ve only had the app for a few days, paid for premium and it’s moved my test forward 3 weeks already. I too thought I had paid for nothing but it DOES work. Great app

I downloaded the app 2 days ago and paid for premium. Then I looked at the reviews and thought I had made a mistake, but reading some of the positive reviews I followed the advice and selected auto shift and blocked out unavailable dates. Within a few hours my daughter’s test was moved from mid July to the beginning of June and then the next afternoon her test has been moved to mid March which is perfect. I’ve now switched off autoshift and the test is now 1 month away instead of 5 months. Would recommend.
