Best chocolate on the planet
I have been buying this chocolate from the early days of the maple bacon bar (don’t knock it unless you tried it!) and the bars just get better and better. The best email you can get is the one saying your chocolate has been despatched. It’s pure luxury indulgence in a bar (or egg) and I have so many favourites but if you need a gentle introduction you can’t go wrong with the golden bar or the Geordie bar. Absolutely delicious and everything is made with the best ingredients you can get.

I’ve been buying from the Chocolate Smiths for years and they’re always brilliant. Great customer service, packaging, and, of course, chocolate. Never had a bar from there that I didn’t like and they are well worth the money!

Just adore this company. I try all of the flavours and I’ve come across some I’m not as keen on but it’s so lovely that they sell new and different flavours.

The greatest chocolate of ALL time
I will always buy my chocolate from the chocolate smiths. From picking to production it’s absolute perfection. The range of flavours is unbeatable and the limited edition perks for newsletter subscribers make it a winning combination. If you collect from the factory you get the added bonus of human contact and they are always friendly, helpful (and sometimes have spares) and you get to smell the chocolate.
Favourite flavours…gold bar, nanas biscuit tin and grasshopper mocktail (currently) but you can’t go wrong with any of them! 10/10 will always recommend.

Not enough mint
The purchasing is easy enough if you can get your hands on there lovely bars! Ive had the nut roast and cherry bakewell which are delicious. I've ordered the grasshopper bar and whilst the chocolate bar is excellent quality it's lacking in mint flavour. There is a slight aftertaste of mint but not as minty as I thought it would be. Maybe that's my fault as I was expecting it to be more minty that chocolate tasting. Either way a great bar

Dunk Cookie Review
Firstly, I am a big fan of this company, having followed them for quite some time, and I genuinely admire what they stand for; so, I don't take giving them a low three-star review lightly.
I pre-ordered the Dunk Cookie Bar with dip, which arrived last week. I was really looking forward to trying it after seeing it sell out week after week. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Maybe my expectations were a bit high, but honestly, I found it rather bland. The caramel flavor was barely noticeable, and I even thought the dipping sauce had gone off, as it had a strange, tangy taste. It was so off-putting that I checked the expiry date just to be sure.
Whilst I could not see a date on the sauce, I was surprised to see the chocolate had a short shelf life—expiring in February 2026. Probably due to different manufacturing processes, but just a heads-up if you're thinking of gifting it.
In the end, it’s really not my cup of tea. I understand a lot of effort goes into making these bars, but the price didn’t quite match my taste buds’ expectations. It seems more like a novelty chocolate with unusual flavors and eye-catching packaging. Nonetheless, I'd still recommend giving them a try, since everyone’s palate is different.

We’re sorry the Dunk Cookie Bar didn’t live up to expectations this time around. It’s a real shame to hear the caramel and dip didn’t deliver the flavour punch you were hoping for — we’ll absolutely pass that feedback to our development team. Regarding the short shelf life, you’re quite right — our Bizarre collaboration bars are made without preservatives and are intended to be eaten fresh, which is part of their charm, but we know this can catch people off guard if they’re buying in advance as a gift. Thank you for flagging it so clearly.
Your honest and fair review is truly appreciated — as is your support over the years. We completely agree: taste is personal, and we hope another bar might be more your cup of tea next time! ☕
Fell upon your site by accident
Fell upon your site by accident, and I've been in 7th heaven since. Ordered a mere 3 times, and I have to say every time has been a delight. I was emailed information about delivery and everything was on point. The chocolate bars are very tasty and I groan when asked to share a piece. I will be ordering again.

The Chocolate Smiths are just an amazing company all round. They not only, continuously provide customers with endless amounts of incredible chocolate creations… they are a company that cares and has a passionate for quality in everything they do and represent. This is applied to their company, staff, ethos and their product. I think they’re fantastic!
My only complaints would be:
1. They are absolute teases and I do not approve that exceptional chocolate creations are only available for a limited time… and
2. Although I’m told, repeatedly and often, that I spend too much money on chocolate (which is probably true as far as my bank are concerned) but I also do not have enough of it (because now everybody knows about them and I have to work to buy the chocolate duh so obvs I keep missing restocks).
Other than that…

Speed is the essence
If you enjoy the frill of the chase and good chocolate the Chocolate Smiths are fabulous and special even down to the packaging and the ethos. Be prepared when you order as speed is essential ,I had 3 separate attempts before I succeeded , but it was worth it.

Dissapointed
I was disappointed ,I bought the mystery box as that was all I could get ,I was excited to try for the first time.
Unfortunately I received two bars that contained coffee which gives me migraines,don't get me wrong I get its a mystery box but surely the packers could make sure not to duplicate flavours especially coffee, coffee is not for everyone, I feel I wasted my money

Our Mystery Boxes are designed as a lucky dip, made up from what we have available at the time — and while we do our best to avoid duplicates, occasionally it can happen, especially during busy periods. That said, we completely understand how disappointing it must have felt to receive two bars with coffee, especially given your sensitivity to it. ☕️
While we can’t customise mystery boxes, we’ll absolutely pass this feedback to the team — it’s really helpful, and we’re always working to improve how we pack and balance flavours. If you’d ever like to try us again, we’d recommend selecting from individual bars when stock allows — that way, you can avoid any ingredients that don’t work for you.

Not for me I’m afraid
I was really excited to finally get an order from The Chocolate Smiths. But I’m sorry to say I don’t particularly like the chocolate or flavour combinations and obviously quite expensive having ordered a mini bar selection box. Probably won’t order again.

We completely understand that our bars are a little different — we love playing with bold, nostalgic, and sometimes unexpected flavour combinations, and while that means we sometimes miss the mark for some, it’s all part of what makes our range unique.
We know our chocolate is priced higher than mass-produced bars, but everything is handcrafted in small batches using ethically sourced chocolate from Luker in Colombia, and we’re proud to pay living wages and support small suppliers — it’s all part of the care that goes into every bar. 🍫✨
That said, we absolutely respect that taste is personal and we’re just grateful you gave us a go. Wishing you all the best — and thank you again for your support!

I love your company and what you do.
I bought the chocolate for my wife for Christmas and her face lit up when she opened the gift.
However the nut roast was insanely salty and she didn’t like that one. She was trying to shave the salt off to eat it lol
