Amazing Service
The Bike was a good quality bike with great reviews. What makes it a great purchase though was the price and customer service given by the team at the electric Bike Shop - they were simply amazing.
Despite making the order 9 days before Christmas, they got it delivered in time (it was a gift).
The communication, responsiveness and follow up from their CX team was brilliant - can not fault!

Faulty bike; can’t contact customer service
I bought an e-bike for my wife for Christmas; it arrived on time but when we set it up on Christmas Day we realised that the computer was faulty and shut down within seconds of being turned on, making the bike unusable. Obviously this was a huge downer but I assumed someone from the company would be available to fix the problem after Christmas. It’s now December 30th and my email and WhatsApp messages haven’t been answered and no one picks up on the customer service number. To be fair the company advertises limited WhatsApp support over Christmas but it seems unfortunate that no one is around even to reassure a customer who’s feeling legitimately unhappy about their experience. (I can see that my WhatsApp message detailing the problem was read, but there was no reply.) Will update this review as and when the problem is addressed; I don’t expect miracles at Christmas but right now I feel as if the company ought to be in a position at least to acknowledge a customer’s frustration and to reassure them that a faulty product can be swapped out for a functional one. So far, nothing on either front.
UPDATE: within an hour of posting this review I got a call from a very helpful customer service rep. He's promised to try to get the problem resolved ASAP so I'll continue to update based on what happens. Have already added a couple of stars to my original review with the hope that I can add more soon!

Excellent prices and service! I recently needed to purchase a good quality bike U lock, after googling several brands for reviews I decided on the OnGuard brand. I then searched for the best price which is when I found The Electric Bike Shop at £70 cheaper than some other sellers! I ordered it on Sunday and it was delivered on Tuesday. It just goes to show that it does pay to shop around as some smaller retailers are better than the go to big boys just because you have an account.

Excellent service provided by the Nottingham store, thank you.
Nathan was very helpful and swift in servicing my Cube eBike. He also made a few adjustments to the handlebars, to make the ride position more comfortable.
I was there for an hour and was made to feel very welcome.
I'll be back for the next service.

Misleading on stock items and delivery times
It transpires that stated in stock items can be for items items they believe to be in stock at the supplier rather than their own stock. They do not control the supplier and this can lead to a misleading lead time. For me it was missed but important for a present and had a I known it was not in stock with them I would have gone elsewhere. I am left waiting having paid.

In this case, there was a stock discrepancy at one of our locations, and unfortunately we were unable to source a replacement from the supplier as they are awaiting a restock. This deal was second to none. Literally nobody online anywhere had this kind of price. I took a chance, and its the finest quality build ive ever seen, so much so, I ordered another one in a different colour for the same price. Outstanding, perfect fit, actually very comfortable too.

Great bike, fast delivery, no simple assembly instructions.
The Cube Kathmandu is a super bike and choosing it and ordering on your website was a very simple process and a good experience. I was surprised at how fast the delivery was. It was carefully and well packaged. Although a thick Cube manual was included, it was in numerous languages and seemed to cover every bike in the Cube range. It was diappointing that there wasn't a simple set of assembly instructions, so it took me a while to put the bike together. The gears had not been set up properly and after 30 miles of riding and the gears jumping and missing, I took it to a local bike shop and now have a perfect bike.

I ordered a n extender battery for my new electric bike, which was delivered in very good time. Unfortunately a small accessory was missing. A contact email brought a very quick response and I had the part within a few days. Thanks to Lewis for excellent communication. Haven't had opportunity to use the extender yet so can't comment on it yet.

Extremely disappointing service and…
Extremely disappointing service and refusal to honour agreement
I bought a bike from this company and discovered a faulty pedal almost immediately. They advised me to get it repaired by a Bosch-authorised dealer and assured me they would reimburse the cost. I followed their instructions exactly and sent them a copy of the receipt — only for them to refuse to reimburse me afterwards. Completely unacceptable. If a business gives a clear instruction and promise, they should stand by it. Instead, I was left out of pocket for a fault that shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Poor customer service and no accountability. I won’t be buying from them again and would advise others to be cautious.
