Great pub! Cracking atmosphere! Staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially Maria (who is a fellow North East lass). Looked after us with drinks.

Amazing staff and service for a party!
OK, I know a pub may not be a normal setting or a one-year-old birthday party! But the staff at Head of Steam didsbury went out their way to make it a wonderful experience. We started the day at 12pm through to 5pm and they allowed us to put up balloons, set out a table for us and even cordoned off the little area. I can't recall the names, but I think it is TyeO and the rest of the team - Father Xmas lookalike and Alex! (Apols if wrong names) But such a wonderful experience and I can't thank the team enough. Also - the food at this place is incredible - honestly, it's not your standard pub grub but delicious side plates. Thanks again guys!

Absolutely 💯 customer service
Absolutely 💯 customer service, Scott is an amazing asset to this establishment, he is very knowledgeable and understands customer needs , definitely be recommending to friends and family, and will definitely be returning, thank you Head of steam, but cheers to Scott 😎👌

Expensive food and drink and poor quality.
Went with a group of 10 having preordered our food. Took an hour to get it and my gyros was ok but the wrap was very thick and the whole thing dry. Several ordered pizza which was virtually inedible- they left most of it. Drinks were extortionate - £7.50 for a small glass of mediocre wine and £6 for a pint of cider. Service was also appalling. Over priced for bad food and second rate drinks. If you charge premium prices you should provide a premium product. They don’t. I won’t be back and would recommend others don’t.

I thought Head Of Steam was an absolute…
I thought Head Of Steam was an absolute brilliant place to vent my problems. My dad is too old to understand though. He pretends to be as cool as the head of steam. Everyone there is just on the same wavelength. Such a wonderful atmosphere.

Not What It Used To Be
Haven't been to this pub for several years. Used to go to listen to Jazz. Went along in late January 2020 for the Wednesday night Jazz session. They now charge when before it was free. No heating on. Absolutely freezing. Left before the music started as hardly any body was in and no ambience, also the food and customer service was poor. No draught Guinness either :-(
Hopefully just a blip for this place but put me off entirely
