These people use the small business excuse every time. They also don't honour their own policies. I asked for a replacement and instead was told they would issue a refund so I opened up a PayPal dispute. When they sent through a refund I tried to reorder and was told they wouldn't trade with me because I opened up a dispute. They do not live up to their own policies and outright discriminate. You are better off finding a good seamstress and getting it made off them, as these are common designs from the 40s. Oh and they are also aware that I am someone with disabilities so they will double discriminate

As a daily vintage wearer, it's hard for me to find vintage brands that specialize in earlier vintage (20s-40s) since I live in the US, and then even harder to find brands that offer a good flared 30s/40s short. I have a very curvy frame with a small waist but large hips/legs, so this style is a must for me to even attempt wearing shorts. I have bought so many of this brand's version that I'm nearing a rainbow of colors now. Highly recommend!

I came upon this little gem by luck on Google, whilst searching for a rust coloured blouse. Based in N. England, it was just so refreshing to be able to phone up a bright, cheery and super helpful person- that’s you, Honor ❤️ who kindly went and checked my measurements against the blouse being offered for sale, phoned me back and confirmed sizes and delivery options.
I was in a hurry for it so paid extra- only £1 more- for express delivery. 21 hours later in the outback in Scotland, I had the blouse in my hands!! I couldn’t believe it!

I am 5’9” tall with a long torso and arms- the blouse is on the short side for me, arms and torso, but since I’m wearing it under a tartan pinafore, it’ll be fine. At 26”L, shoulder seam to wrist, this weirdly isn’t long enough to allow the flounce at the wrist on my 24”L arm..maybe because the sleeve gathers from a point on the shoulder and has a shoulder pad inside, giving it the perfect 1940s shoulder shaping but this shortens the sleeve length to the wrist when worn.
And it won’t stay tucked in to a skirt or trousers on me because of how it slopes up a bit at the front- my back neck to waist measures 18”. As I say though, I’ve always had trouble with upper length of off-the-peg garments.

The rust is a vibrant rust, just gorgeous, and the rayon material and sewing is good.

So if you’re a standard size, you’re going to love this blouse and the customer service is second to none.

I've been a HoF returning customer for years now and I must say, I can't get enough of their clothing, especially the dresses !! 🤗 It doesn't hurt that most of their autumn wardrobe works really well with my color palette. My only complain is that I feel that spring/summer outfits are often designed with cooler-tone people in mind, so I've had to refrain from buying a few design. 😖
I'm not a fan of the 60s-70s styles so I'm usually sticking to the 40s-50s inspired styles. 👍🏾I always think of a purchase from HoF as a treat to myself, since I also have to pay for the UE duties and tax. Nevertheless, I would love to see more from this brand ❤️

I ordered a 1940s-style blouse from HoF and was really happy with the quality and attention to detail. It blends in seamlessly with true vintage pieces. The shipping was pretty fast considering that I'm located in the EU, and the whole process went smoothly. I have a number of other HoF items I've bought through resellers or secondhand and have always found the quality to be excellent.

My only minor nitpick when it comes to the shopping experience is that I would love to have actual garment measurements for each individual garment instead of a general sizing chart. But customer service is very responsive to questions so if in doubt, just ask. :)

As a mom of three that works very hard from home, when I feel like I need a reward, the House of Foxy is my first stop for a new dress. These dresses are what I buy myself for my birthday every year. This past spring I bought the 40s' Girl Friday dress in Rosebud for my birthday. I loved the pink and red combination of the flowers on the dress so much that they actually became my wedding palate.
What has kept me coming back for the last eight years has been the consistency in their quality, clothing sizes and the precision of their textiles. The clothes are always period perfect but can be styled modern or vintage. While I am personally interested in the history of garments and antique clothing, wearing those antiques out can be a bit of a panic as a dress from the 30s or 40s can't be replaced. Instead I now save my money and buy a brand new dress from the House of Foxy as their interpretation of 40s wartime era clothing is identical to the historical photos and is soooooo well made!!!! There aren't enough stars to give!!!

I’m a returning customer at HOF, the brand is my absolute favorite clothing brand.
I love the basic collections as well as the news.
The details, the elegance and the quality never disappoint.
My only regret is that I can’t shop HOF online without paying customers duty here in Danmark when the package is delivered, I have to go through retailers with a much smaller selection.

Absolutely awful experience with this company! I will never be buying from them again. I ordered a 1930s inspired sports suit, and I am not exaggerating when I say that this was the most unflattering piece of clothing I have ever tried on in my life. Hideous. Of course, I want to return the item, and I am aware that they do not offer free returns; however, they do not even assist in generating a shipping label. They insist that you find your own carrier which for international shipments can be over $200 USD. I might as well burn the sports suit.

I have placed several orders from House of Foxy and must say I am so impressed with the quality and beautiful design of their vintage style items. There is such attention to detail, even with the packing - each order is carefully wrapped in tissue and placed in a cardboard parcel, to complete the delightful nostalgic experience! I am 100% a fan of this lovely company and greatly appreciate their excellent level of service - they seem to genuinely care about their customers and the clothes are so gorgeous. Lovely vintage style shorts. Yes they are expensive but the quality is great.

I have been shopping with the above for years. I am surprisd at the dreadful reviews. There clothing is wonderful, maybe a liitle too expenisve. Customer service Team very helpful.

I am very disappointed by this clothing brand. I purchased from them 2 times and I’m always disappointed by the quality of the clothing I end up having. It’s mostly poorly made and fast fashion quality (but of course, it’s way more expensive than random fast fashion clothes).

The colours are also different on the picture and IRL. I once ordered a blouse that was supposed to have a very pale buttercream colour (according to the pictures) and when I received it, I was unpleasantly surprised to see it was just yellow (not even a pale yellow. Just yellow).

On their website, I commented on this item saying to be careful because the colour of this blouse isn’t the same IRL (I still have the item a 4-star review so it wasn’t that bad) and I discovered they removed my review. How are you supposed to trust a brand acting like that ???

The designs are very cute but I think what they're making is overpriced for the quality you end up having.
Many of their clothing is poorly made and the fabrics on some blouses are thin or transparent (when they're not supposed to be, it's just bad fabric here). I am a bit disappointed by this company sadly.
Also, the colour of their garment is often very different on the pictures and IRL so beware of what you're buying!! Also, they're suppressing your comments on their website if you're don't give them a 100% positive review...

Quality isn't great and very overpriced for what you get. I ordered a dress haven't even worn it yet and it's already got a hole under one armpit. They will release a new style of blouse or dress and certain sizes are instantly sold out which makes no sense, so I think they just don't bother to make them in some sizes or not enough. The knitwear is ridiculously overpriced because none of it is 100% wool.

The quality of their clothing is terrible. Wouldn't recommend. The customer service team is also very unhelpful and comes across as rather rude.
