Smarturns from Tochtech ...HMMM. not a good experience
I bought the cooker knob alarm system Smarturns. Firstly the pir does not indicate its on and working. Unless that is you change the jumper position on the pcb. That's fine but it would be good if the poor instructions advised such without having to contact the company. Much more of an issue was the base unit would only randomly power up making it totally useless and unreliable. the company did communicate with me and saw from their systems that the clever base unit had powered on for a whole 5 mins then inexplicably shut down. It shut down as its faulty and just wont power up again. I have beenbback and forth with them currently to no avail in getting this obviously faulty part replaced so the SYSTEM IS IN EFFECT USELESS AND A WASTE OF MONEY, as it can't work with this critcal unit unable to be powerwd up, which did I mention to them" IT WONT POWER UP! " Do not waste your time or money on this company or product unless they get a grip on customer service and supporting the product. Great Idea for a product but poorly delivered and terribly supported.
