My fellow data science candidates will be all too familiar with the depressing, ineffective or downright rude interactions that we have with most recruiters. Well, Guy is a breath of fresh air. There’s nothing transactional about his approach and he has genuine passion for his endeavour. This is clearly a key component of his professional success. In my case, he understood my professional and personal circumstances and checked in from time to time. For work, perhaps he got in touch once a year with a potential role, but it would always be bang on! What more do you want from a recruiter?

I was in regular contact with Richard from True North during my job search, he was always professional and helpful throughout. Although I didn't secure a role through them he regularly kept me up to date with possible job/networking opportunities and made sure I always felt comfortable and confident throughout my search.

I was helped in finding a role in the data Sphere by a brilliant recruiter called Richard Hayes. Richard helped me land my best role to date; and more importantly personally he is by FAR the kindest influence on my career so far- it's extremely clear that from his work he's truly invested in his clients welfare and takes a person centric attitude to his job. He helped find me roles that I could fit into, and took me through from roles I would find a poor fit but was interested and clearly explained their flaws.

I was also helped placing my new role by Guy, the managing director. Everything I could say about my experience with Richard is true of of Guy also, and the rest of the team from what I can garner.

Whilst I didn't end up taking a job via TrueNorth due to other opportunities, I found going through the recruitment process with them easy and non-pushy compared to other experiences with recruiters. It felt like I was listened to and considered when proposals were sent my way and there was no pressure for me to say "yes put me forward" if the job wasn't what I wanted to do. They are certainly someone I would return to if I find myself needing new employment in the future

Although I wasn't successful in the process we started, this the best experience so far I ever had with a recruiter.
Our relationship started months ago with a face to face meeting - those times before COVID!. After that we had a few online meetings to catch up and updates until the role that suits (skills and needs) me appeared.
