Haven’t had dumbbells in my home gym for 15 week!!
I placed my order late December 2024 for dumbbells + Gen2 rack set, I received an email in January stating that the rack is out of stock (despite showing it is in stock at the time of purchase) and I was offered an upgrade to Gen3 as a compensation for the delay. One month later, I received an email that the rack will ship after 8 weeks.
I didn’t unpack the dumbbells because it is not safe for me to use them on the floor, I followed up towards the end of the 8 weeks period, and they responded telling me that the wait is almost over as the rack will be shipped by the end of the week (yaaay).
To my surprise, the next day they sent another email claiming that they meant “end of the month” and that “end of the week” statement in the previous email was a typo!! And that launch date are mentioned on their website!!! I confronted the customer service representative with screen shots of my previous email communication in which they firmly confirmed that the rack will be shipped within 8 weeks, so they responded that the original estimate changed due to logistical issues!
So far, at the time of writing this review, it has been 15 weeks since I placed the order and I haven’t received my rack, consequently I haven’t been able to use dumbbells in my home gym since then because I already sold my Nuobells as I didn’t know at the time I placed the order that racks are out of stock!
Such a shame to have such a terrible experience with such a seemingly good product!
Update: the company decided to retaliate and cancel the rack order as a result of this review.
The manager went in a rampage with me on WhatsApp calling me unethical for asking for compensation for the very long wait which he called “an honest mistake” so keeping me wait for 15 weeks and counting is an “honest mistake” but me asking for compensation is “unethical” in their book! Way to go Trulap!!
