So, there were issues, some of which we feel Tubber were at fault for and other issues that lay directly with NSS charter.
First, the chaotic joining day.
• When we proceeded to complete the joining paperwork we were advised that there was an additional 130euros to pay for the outboard motor for dinghy – however this was not made clear in Tubber’s literature in fact the words ”free dinghy“ in the sales documentation is very misleading. Yes, the dinghy may be free but that is only because it is easier for NSS to leave them on the yacht than take them and store them. So, I felt this was very sneaky shall we say and I am annoyed that we were charged an extra 130 euros for an outboard for the dinghy. The outboard was an old Honda 2.3 HP that ran like a bag of spanners and was really loud. It worked but it was at the crap end of reasonable.
(I used to have one of these outboards and the one we were provided with was very poor for the price).
• We paid locally extra for the linen and cleaning but again another item that was never mentioned in Tubbers paperwork/literature was the extra charge for towels!? We had to pay an extra 36euros for towels(2 x 18 euros as there were five of us and you only got 3 towels for 18 euros a small face cloth towel, a medium towel and a bath towel – again we would have expected that towels would be a basic necessity and included in the costs. We found this very off hand and unfair to treat paying customers paying good money.
• Boarding was 30 mins late – which would be ok if we did not already have a load of shopping sat roasting away in the hot sun. It is also annoying that NSS issued paperwork that threatened us with big fines if we were late leaving the boat at the departure date – but yet they did not meet their end of the bargain in this respect.
• The handover checks with the NSS engineer were very basic and not at all thorough – he did not even show me where the engine was never mind demonstrating the basic daily engine checks.
• The yacht did not have a proper fridge – it had a cool box which is not a proper fridge and NSS insist that fridge/cool box is turned off when the yacht is disembarked. Consequently, some of the food we had was wasted as the “cool box” was like an oven as when we eventually put our food stuff in it had been switched off all day. I think NSS need to review this small aspect of their hand back procedure and leave fridges on especially when it is so warm.
Furthermore, I specifically mailed Tubber and asked the question does the yacht have a proper fridge? (This was not detailed in the sales literature) I was told it did have a proper fridge. Well, I can advise you that a cool box is not a proper fridge and we had no capacity for freezing anything. I have been on a yacht with a cool box before I did not want that experience which is why I emailed and asked the question does the yacht have fridge in the first instance.
• So now we are onboard and assessing what is where and how the vessel works. I discover that there is no knob on the switch for the inverter on the mains electricity panel. I questioned the NSS engineer about this, and he just shrugged his shoulders and said “oh it does work”. I expect everything to work as it should on that vessel, granted its 10 years old, but that should not preclude any aspect of it not working correctly through neglect and poor maintenance procedures. The wife was more distressed than me by this as it impacted her ability to use hair dryers etc..
• So next I thought lets put on some music which I did and only one of the four speakers actually worked – one of the deck speakers. Again, it shows a complete lack of good maintenance and neglect.

I have been bombarded with emails since I first enquired about a trip with this company. Two months later, after unsubscribing over 20 times, the emails keep coming. I wrote to the company two weeks ago to ask them to stop and the reply was to send me a copy of their original quote! Then an apology and a promise to stop the emails. That lasted two weeks, and the hard sell started again today with direct, unsolicited emails.

Vakantie moet nog beginnen en kijken we naar uit maar het hele boekingsproces en het doornemen van opties en advies was TOP. Allemaal relaxte gasten en super behulpzaam.

Fantastische avontuurlijke vakantie! Begeleiding en mooie tips op de achtergrond met alle ruimte om op een relaxte manier je eigen plan te trekken. Wanneer je zin hebt, haak je aan bij een leuk gezelschap, op prachtige pittoreske plekjes met heerlijk eten & drinken, mooie verhalen en een uitstekende sfeer. Echte aanrader.

What an incredible wonderfull experience we had as a family on a flotilla trip in Croatia! We can highly recommend Tubber! Great boat and skippers on other boat to guide the trip. We sailed ourselves (our girls) as a family and had a blast.

Geweldig proces, éénvoudig en snel boten selecteren en boeken. Ik kon mijn crewlijst van vorig jaar importeren en de verzekering voor het afkopen van het eigen risico kan inmiddels ook gewoon via hen. Al met al gemakkelijk; ik zeilde er zo doorheen!

Dit is mijn eerste ervaring met Tubber, in vergelijk met andere online partijen lijsteren ze naar je wensen en denkt mee. Leveren goede prijzen en helpen daar waar het kan. Hebben via hun een LAgoon 42 in Kroatie gehuurd voor aanstaande Juli.

If you want a bare boat or flotilla go nowhere else.

Tubber is wat ons betreft een tussenpersoon zonder echte toegevoegde waarde.
Wij boekten een catamaran voor zes personen met een Griekse schipper vanuit Preveza (nabij Lefkas), bewust gekozen vanwege taal en lokale kennis. Twee weken voor vertrek werd deze vervangen door een Nederlandse schipper, en een week later opnieuw gewijzigd naar een Roemeense schipper.
Daarnaast zijn wij vooraf op geen enkel moment geïnformeerd dat de brug bij het Lefkas-kanaal al een maand defect was. Hierdoor konden we niet de gebruikelijke route varen en moesten we om de westkust van Lefkas heen, grotendeels op de motor. Dit kostte ons een volledige dag heen en een dag terug van onze vakantie.
De toegewezen schipper had weinig ervaring, geen lokale kennis en moeite met het besturen van de boot. Bij vertrek in de haven ging het al mis en ook tijdens de reis waren er meerdere problemen met zowel de boot als de organisatie. Ondersteuning vanuit Tubber ontbrak; alles moesten we lokaal regelen met de verhuurder.
Al met al een zeer teleurstellende ervaring. Wij raden aan om te boeken bij een partij met lokale aanwezigheid in Griekenland in plaats van via een tussenpersoon.
Omdat we er achteraf niet uit zijn gekomen met Tubber, plaatsen we deze review om anderen te waarschuwen.

Aanvankelijk goed geholpen bij huren boot in Griekenland. Vervolgens bleek ik niet meer in mijn account te kunnen komen, elke keer storing en foutmelding zodat ik niets meer kon nagaan over welke boot geboekt was hebt en bijzonderheden. Mailen hielp in eerste en tweede instantie niet want men weigerde gewoon te helpen. Na plaatsen van review met één * ben ik benaderd en wél goed geholpen. Reden om er twee sterren bij te plussen.

Wij hebben ook voor de zomer 2026 net als voorgaande jaren een zeiljacht gehuurd via Tubber. Alle zeilvakanties zijn enorm bevallen en de gehuurde jachten waren perfect! Ook was Tubber ten alle tijde goed bereikbaar als dat nodig was. Het boeken van een jacht verloopt erg soepel, goeie communicatie en wij hebben ook nu weer een mooi jacht gereserveerd voor onze vakantie naar Sardinië, Tubber bedankt voor de goede service!

I first used Tubber a couple years ago for a 7 day charter in Greece and everything from start to finish was flawless. I just used them again to book a 7 day in Sardinia. While the trip isn’t until this Summer, they’ve helped me book another great boat. Their responsiveness and attention to detail is on point.

Wederom een boeking geplaatst bij Tubber. Volgend jaar wordt de bestemming Volos Griekenland met 2 boten. Prima aanbod en snelle opvolging van openstaande vragen.

Tubber is een klantvriendelijke en betrouwbare verhuurorganisatie. Wij hebben in Griekenland problemen gehad (de motor van de dinghy was gestolen..), ook hiermee dachten ze met ons mee toen we een claim indienden bij de verzekering.
De boten zijn prima, natuurlijk kunne er wel wat mankementen aan de boten maar zijn maar daar is de prijs/leeftijd van de boot dan ook naar.

Totally fuss free booking, Remy went above and beyond to recommend a choice of boats that were available for our desired dates. The boat we chose was as described and their partners at the marina were also very helpful. Communication by email was prompt and we were always kept informed throughout the whole process. So good we have booked two further charters with them for 2026

An absolute shambles of a company and an even worse charter company they used in Sardinia
So many things went wrong they are to long to list.
Letter of complaint sent but just fobbed off again.

Na vele charters rechtstreeks bij maatschappijen in Kroatië met negatieve ervaringen boekte ik via Tubber bij een door hen als premium parter geselecteerde maatschappij. Wat een verademing! Duidelijk boekingsproces, heldere afspraken, telefonische advies en meedenken en niet in de laatste plaats een geweldige vakantie bij een chartermaatschappij die “premium waarmaakte. We kwamen later aan, netjes lampen aan op de boot en volgende dag inchecken, eten in de koelkast etc. Zojuist weer opnieuw geboekt! Aanrader.

We have used Tubber for our last two bareboat charters in both Majorca and Greece and have booked another yacht for 2026 based on the service we have received to date. Efficient, competitive, thus far we have had excellent boats. The site allows for quite specific searches, making it easy to see the boat, location and availability.

Goede ervaring met onze eerste keer boeken via Tubber. Vragen worden direct opgepakt, afspraken nagekomen, duidelijke instructies voorafgaande aan de huurperiode. Niks op aan te merken.

Wij huurden een SO 349 vanuit Pula, Kroatië, de boot werd via verschillende organisaties aangeboden, maar Tubber had by far het beste aanbod. Er zat nogal wat prijsverschil in de verschillende aanbieders, tot wel 100 euro voor een week.

Ook de contacten met de lokale verhuurder dik in orde.
